Found Niko because of the great reviews. He is walking distance from the Crystal City Metro. The office building is nice and secured once you got upstairs. My desktop needed an update and started to randomly not cut on. I went online and scheduled a time. Niko later informed me that he needed to reschedule my appointment. That was fine with me. The new appointment time we set. The day of the appointment, I wanted to just reschedule for a completely different day. (Wasn't trying to be stressed and just wanted to relax.) Personally one of the worst experiences I've had recently working with someone on repairing a computer. I originally requested my desktop gaming computer to be diagnosed for random shut offs at random times. I had spent some time trying to diagnose the issue myself, as I work in IT, but work 2 jobs, making it difficult to find the time to get around to it. When I reached out to the representative, we agreed upon a pickup time, which went great. Within the process of dropping off the computer, I asked about pricing for a power supply upgrade, which he stated would be around $110 and with travel and labor FOR A POWER SUPPLY UPGRADE, the work would be $250. I agreed that I wanted to go ahead with looking into the issue further, and letting me know what the specific issue was so we could discuss next steps. I didn't hear from the technician for approximately 3 1/2-4 hours before I took the initiative to reach out and ask for an update, to which my text received a "I am working." I then waited patiently and received an update that the source of my problems were the fact that I had out of date BIOS drivers, and corrupted drives, which I had already stated were erased / corrupted in my efforts to reinstall Windows on the computer. When attempting to explain this over text, it appeared that all was resolved and I would be able to pay the original diagnostic fee, and we would discuss further steps for a power supply upgrade. I made arrangements to meet the technician, and when we met in person, he was quite irate and used excessive profanity, going as far as trying to shove the PC into my hand when trying to receive it from him! I attempted multiple times to try and pay the technician, and to quote him directly, he told me to, "Get the f*** outta here." Would not recommend this service for lack of clear pricing, professionalism, and overall lack of care for customer equipment. read more
