The work ultimately was done very well by a man with a company called Goldilock. Dealing with Fast Locksmith was very confusing. I got a texts from them that appeared to be from several different companies. The person that did the work was different than the person that they told me was coming. It was so confusing, that I wasn't sure whether by mistake I had asked other companies to come as well. This needs to be cleaned up. Ultimately, the work was done well by the man who came. And I would hire him again. But the experience was confusing in an unnecessary way. read more

My 83 year old neighbor was in a car accident in Ohio. She lost her keys to her house and could not make the long drive home without knowing she could get in. She asked me for help so I contacted multiple locksmiths on a Friday morning. I explained the entire situation and Fast Locksmith told me that if I could have my neighbor send them a copy of her drivers license that matched the property address they would meet me at the property to get her a new key made for her house. They quoted me $280 and said I had to be on site. They received the drivers license and made me an appointment for Saturday at 2 pm. I had to change my plans to accommodate but that was the only appointment they had in the next week. On Saturday the tech called me to confirm that he was 20 minutes away. he told me the price was going to be about $100 more than what was quoted on the phone. I told him that is not what I was quoted, so he said he would do it for what the office had quoted me. I then received a call from the office that they would not do the job since the homeowner was not there. I explained the entire situation again and was told that the person I spoke on to Friday was wrong, and that I needed to send them a signed note from my neighbor giving me permission to hire them to rekey the front door. I was extremely frustrated but I contacted my neighbor. She sent over the letter to them. They did not pick up the phone after that for many hours. That evening they finally picked up the phone. The woman yelled at me and said they would absolutely not do this job without my neighbor present, EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM ALL THE DOCUMENTATION THEY ASKED FOR!!! I told them that they had wasted my time for 2 days and now I would have to tell my neighbor she could no longer come home on Sunday as planned. THE WOMAN HUNG UP ON ME. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. If they had a policy they should have expressed it on Friday morning and not wasted my time for two days on a wild goose chase for all the documentation, especially if they were going to refuse the job anyway. I ended up contacting several other companies. One called me at 9 pm Saturday, was there within 20 minutes, and replaced the entire doorknob and gave me the keys, all for less than the quote given by Fast Locksmith. I do not recommend doing business with Fast Locksmith. read more

They show up, enter my car, charge me $135, tell me key duplication was not part of my appointment (it was) and leave.
