Excellent service! Sent a message through yelp - received a response within five minutes. Arranged a visit, set a time and had my new locks with 24 hours! Technician called ahead of time, was prompt and fixed the door within 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this company. read more

My brother locked himself out of his condo and couldn't access his phone, so I ended up needing to coordinate lockout service for my brother as a third party. I found LockBusters on Yelp. Ronnie answered the phone and was very helpful, getting Alvin out to my brother within a half hour. The whole service went pretty smoothly overall with some minor hiccups, and Ronnie and Alvin were both great. I checked in with Ronnie a couple of times to make sure they were able to contact my brother and the service was going well, and he was great in providing updates. My brother and I would recommend this business. read more

He accomplished the job quickly, efficiently and well. He was polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend him.

I had an issue with the lock on my car's cargo box. Lockbusters was responsive and extremely helpful in resolving it. If I need locksmith services again, I know who I will go to. read more

needed a lock changed for my office building. Diana (manager) and their tech (Austin) took care of this for me without any issues and at a very reasonable price. They answered all of my preliminary questions, and on the day of the appointment, they called ahead to make sure we knew they were on the way. read more

I sent out multiple quote requests to install a new 'smart' lock in my condo door. Ronnie responded quickly with a quote and followed up quickly through subsequent conversations. His quote was the most competitive and we were able to schedule for the next day. Technician called before arrival, and arrived within the designated time window. He was polite, clearly knew what he was doing, and had the right tools for the job. When one item needed to be adjusted he made sure to discuss with me, note his recommendation, but waited for my approval. He even cleaned up thoroughly and carefully before leaving. Overall very happy with the experience, couldn't ask for more! read more

I just tried calling them at the (888) 508-9865 number listed here at this claimed Yelp listing (and on their website) in order to discuss replacement of multiple locks with new knobs and deadbolts on a 1/2 dozen doors on my Dad's house. I got an auto answering recording that asked me hold while they connect me, then the recording came back saying "The person you are trying to reach has a voice mailbox that hasn't been set up yet. Goodbye." - or words very like that. Is the guy careless? Out of business? Not sure I plan to try to find out. read more

Nate from LockBusters was able to complete our job of rekeying a new home very quickly (within 2 days) and completely, even on Sunday at a competitive rate. We had sliders with locks, and he was able to provide a matching key that also works with the doors with traditional locks. Several other vendors said they couldn't do that. He even adjusted an old knob/lock that wasn't fully catching to help us avoid full replacement. read more

I am very infuriated. I called and booked am appointment days in advance only to have no one show up! When I called, they said they have no record. yet, I have all the information on my calendar. Vu also have a date and time stamped email that states that I called and made the appointment. Do not trust that they will honor their appointments!!!!!!!! Now I am stick with a door that I cannot use which is a safety hazard! read more

While the initial call and conversation was fine, the process continued to get worse after that. On the phone I was quoted one rough cost which we were comfortable with so we agreed to schedule a technician. When the technician arrived, he was very blunt and not at all cordial. He walked straight in and immediately started asking questions about specifics without explaining anything. He then started work on one of our doors without even summarizing the work, price, or timeline. When I stopped him and asked for that information he was not very polite and quoted as a cost that was 50% higher than what we discussed on the phone. Then when I said we weren't going to move forward because of the increase in estimate he became visibly frustrated and immediately started threatening us with a service call charge no one had mentioned up to that point. After a phone call to his partner or manager, he left without charging us the fee but was clearly annoyed at what I feel was a very reasonable set of expectations. I would not call them again, and you shouldn't either. read more

Lockbuster's had no problem facilitating my request for service at 9pm in the evening. The enhanced security lock required a bit of fumbling, skill, and luck, but at the end of the day, we were able to get back into our home which auto locks when you walk out the door. Great locksmith. Will absolutely consider using again if it came to it. read more

LockBusters had a fast response time when I inquired about their services for my work office. We have a couple different kinds of file cabinets and most did not have a key for employees to lock up their stuff at their cube. We needed some new keys made and one cabinet needed an entire lock system replaced because it was missing. I was originally interested in getting two keys made for each lock, but at $45/key, this was very expensive! I told the locksmith I would prefer someone come out to our office for an in-person quote, even though they told me the price, because the cabinets did not have any labels about what kind they were or who manufactured them. I wanted someone in person to look at the locks and make sure they could make the keys, instead of ordering keys and then finding out they didn't work. I was first told to take a picture of each lock that needed a key, since the lock would have numbers and letter indicating what kind of key to order. The numbers and letters were SO small, that my phone had trouble getting a clear picture. I called back and said, please send someone out because I didn't want to send photos since it was difficult to get a clear picture, and I needed around 15 keys made - AND not all the cabinets were the same. I worked with Ben who was polite and came out to look at the cabinets. He looked at a few file cabinets, took a few photos and then asked for pen and paper. I was wondering why he didn't have something to write down the information with, since he knew it was more than a couple of cabinets. Another thing I noticed was that he took a call while we walked around the office. It was clearly a call from someone inquiring about their services, so I'm guessing his number is also the main number? We had people working in the cubes, and taking the call in our office seemed somewhat unprofessional. We had the 15 keys made in a few days and Ben came out to make sure all the keys worked. I ended up needing another key made a couple days later, but when I texted Ben about the key, he said it would cost $90 for him to come back out to our office. I ended up finding another cabinet that "needed" a key, so $45/key + $45/key = $90. Again, the price seems way over priced, but I need the one key, so...yeah. Overall, good service and fast response time. read more

I needed to change the locks on my front door. LockBusters responded to my request within 10 minutes, clearly confirmed what I needed and the price. The locksmith, Kyle, was out the next morning, and he was very communicative and completed the job in 20 minutes. He also took all the proper COVID precautions. Everything was wrapped up in less than 24 hours - outstanding service. I cannot recommend LockBusters enough and they absolutely deserve all 5 stars. read more

I had locked myself out of my house. The door had 1 simple lock. After sending out requests for quotes, Ronnie gave a range. When I later called the number on this listing, they did Not give me a range and said that it would be in the 180s (forgot exact amount). After they connected me with the technician, I asked what the range covered. To be clear, the range they give you are for simple locks (not deadbolt). The reason why I gave 5 starts is that: 1) technician gave an estimated time and arrived at that time! 2) there were no hidden costs (no odd drilling procedure required for a simple lock that other places may recommend, which can double the price) read more

I called Lockbusters yesterday because I needed the lock removed from my storage unit. I misplaced the keys and had to move out ASAP. I was set up with David who was able to accommodate me and come remove the lock that same day. He came to the unit on time and prepared. My boyfriend was there to escort him to my Storage Unit. My boyfriend told me that David attempted to remove the lock in ways that would be more cost effective for me. He was able to take the lock off promptly with no damages to the storage unit door and was able to stick with the originial quote of $125. Yelpers were on point about this local business: great customer service, reasonable prices, and the job was completed with no hassles. If you get locked out somehow and need help, I recommend Lockbusters. read more

Needed to replace a pair of deadbolt locks with double-key deadbolts. Kyle called in advance to coordinate the color of the locks and arrived when he said he would. He quickly got to work; made the changes; and made sure all the keys worked and had me do the same. Kyle was courteous and professional, answered questions and was totally transparent. Good work and much appreciated. read more

Excellent quick service and not too expensive. Would recommend and will use again if needed!

So I needed same morning service (pretty much an emergency) for my front door. I called all the local places trying to find a locksmith. Most were booked and told me I needed to call 2 days in advance but they could squeeze me in after 5pm for an extra fee. NO THANKS! There has to be a locksmith who can help me out. And then there was Yelp! I noticed a company called Lockbusters. Why not! I spoke to David the owner about my predicament and that I needed service in the morning so I could go to work in the afternoon. He told me he could fit me in at noon. What happened at noon? He showed up. He was very courteous and knowledgable. Instead of changing entire lock system, he suggested that he could change the lock itself and just needed new keys. He saved me money and time with his suggestion and he answered all my questions no matter how stupid they were. I am writing this review cause I am an extremely satisfied customer. Prices were fair but more importantly, he was able to fit me in his busy schedule while the other bigger locksmiths wouldn't unless I paid for it, up the arse. So contact David for all your locksmith needs. You won't be disappointed. With all the 5 star reviews before mine, tha's saying something. If you're looking for a locksmith, WHO YOU GONNA CALL???? LOCKBUSTERS!!!! (David accepts all credit cards as well!) :) read more

I contacted Lockbusters for a quote via Yelp and heard back within the day. After receiving the quote I gave them a call and David was able to come out the same day. Most might think that a locksmith service is pretty straightforward but here is why they were worthy of 5 stars: 1) David provided me with a quote based on the general info I gave him however after coming on site, he said I could opt for a less expensive method since the locks in question were newer and in good condition. I truly appreciate that he wasn't looking for the upsell but rather what was best for the current situation. 2) Patience. I was driving down from Reston to the house and was dealt with a 1-2 punch of a closed road on one access point and a car accident on the other. So a trip that should have taken me 15min bordered on an hour. David arrived at the house in the hour window he provided but he was obviously there before me. He didn't get upset and assured that he would be there even though I would be about 10 min. I won't be relying on anyone else should I need a locksmith again. read more

David saved the day! I called, gave them my location and David called me within 30 minutes ready to handle the lock on the spot. I was like woah! I was thinking in a day or two lol. Exceeded my expectation! He was on time, super friendly, quick, and all for a great price. I needed to change the locks on my apartment. When I was running late due to a lack of time judgment on my end, David didn't fuss! He was there and flexible. He was fast too! Done in like 10 minutes. The door was sticking a little and he even fixed that! Now the door opens and closes smoothly. Nothing's better than peace of mind. David's your guy. read more

I lost my keys and with a little one at home we knew we needed to get rekeyed ASAP. Only our lock manufacturer is out of business and rare. They offered to make a key for us on the spot. First he asked if I was locked out of my house. I said no, and that he could come anytime that day. He said between 5 and 6, and called at 5 pm on the spot to let me know he was on his way. Instead of building a new key we decided to get a new deadbolt (just made sense for our family) and he walked us through the options, offered to give us a temporary lock if we chose an option that he didn't have on him, and then when we had a complication (holes in our door weren't being covered correctly) he made sure we could talk through several options to solve the problem. Oh, and he didn't charge an arm and a leg. He was very very fair considering how much time it took to drive to our house, uninstall and reinstall a lock. All in all a great experience if you need someone the same day. read more

I needed a locksmith near my area to be able to unlock my door outside for a hot water heater. The previous owner didn't give me a key for the closet when he moved out. I highly recommend their services! read more

I struggled finding a locksmith to fix my front door lock. Not because there wasn't any available, but because most of them were trying to rip me off. Due to my lock being complicated, it was hard to fix and required me to replace the whole thing. At least that's what I heard from the three or four locksmith I've contacted before I called this company. When I called Lockbusters I spoke with David, and he said he would attempt to fix it and not charge me if he couldn't figure it out. (Along those lines) Anyway, he worked on my lock for about a hour or two and eventually fixed it. I was totally amazed at his honesty before offering to fix the lock, and his determination with trying to figure out how to fix it. This company has just gained a permanent customer. I highly recommend this company. read more

LockBusters was perfect - arrived right on time, provided courteous service, and most importantly, got our very stubborn lock replaced. Prices were more than fair and upfront and I was not charged until after the lock was replaced and I was 100% happy. Our lock had to be drilled out and replaced; it didn't phase Ben, our locksmith, and he arrived prepared with everything he needed for the job. I was provided with lots of flexible choices for times to meet them, so it worked around my schedule. I will absolutely call them again if we have a problem with another lock and recommend without hesitation. Random but important to me: the locksmith that arrived was extremely gentle and kind to our very elderly dog. It was the sweetest thing. He pet her throughout his time replacing the lock and let her investigate all his bags and tools. The whole process was quite fascinating to her and he was so tolerant of her need to inspect everything. My biased advice, support LockBusters - THEY ARE DOG PEOPLE! read more

I just bought a house and needed everything to be re-keyed, but I had no idea what was a good deal vs. Bad deal. So I used yelp of course! I asked for quotes and these guys responded within the hour. They coordinated with me late one evening and came out on a Sunday so as to not make me miss any work. David, who came to do the work was super fast and very competant. He even explained to me what how and why some of the super old doors were the way they were on this old detached garage. He gave me a straightforward estimate and stuck to it. I like that there were no surprises. Except how quick curteous and easy to work with these guys were. Big surprise in this day and age where it seems like no one cares about his/her job- David clearly does. Many thanks and I now feel safe knowing I'm the only one with keys to my new house! read more

Quick and courteous. Inclement weather meant we had to reschedule our initial appointment, and they were very communicative and easy to work with in this regard, texting and offering different times for us to choose from. Locksmith himself was extremely competent, and worked very hard to make sure we had just what we wanted. We felt very comfortable having him in our home and changing our locks. I absolutely recommend this company based on our experience, and wish them well- it's nice to see such a high quality service at a reasonable price. read more

Had a situation with a lock in my condo and panicked quite a bit since my work laptop was in that room and I need to go on a business trip on Monday. Called Ronnie and got a quote and made appointment. Ronnie was delayed by previous customer but he called me to make sure he's coming to open my door. At that point, I really don't care how late he will be as long as he will come. But Ronnie is very professional, called me when he was on the way and again informed me when he arrived. After he arrived, he grabbed all the tools and came in, found out it's much easier to open my lock. He could have charged me the same quote he told me but instead he charged me less. What an honest man! It's rare to find these days. I couldn't recommend him enough. Quickly, he opened my door and what a relief! I highly recommend Ronnie for whatever lock problem you have! read more

Used them twice and will definitely call them again. Ben changed my condo's front door locks/re-key in 2012 and again in 2016 he added a lock to my new TH basement stairway door. Aside from being super courteous and charging much less than the competition (I looked!), he also consulted on a very complex situation whereby the walkout basement sliding glass door lock cavity was stuffed with cardboard from the previous owners. He then showed me potential workarounds, which I appreciated but he did not recommend. Instead, he advised that I needed to replace the whole door to be truly secure. I appreciated his honestly and that he didn't try to make a quick buck--a true security professional! read more
