I had 9 doors that needed attention; a mish-mash of old lock cores I inherited from the previous owner (one with no key), new locks on custom-made security storm doors and new locks on factory replacement interior doors and storms. Udi was able to give me a rough quote over the phone and was able to come out the very next day to do the work. However, due to the complexity of the job and the materials needed, the price ended up being MUCH higher than the original rough estimate. Still, I was very pleased with the work. Udi kept in touch about his arrival time which was only slightly outside of the time window I had been given. He stayed until the job was complete - almost to 9pm. He counseled me against replacing the double-cylinder deadbolts (providing for safe egress during a fire or other emergency). He provided 6 duplicate keys even without me asking. This was a good contractor experience because of the ease and speed of scheduling and the diligence with which Udi approached the job. The price was breath-taking, but I can't complain about the work. read more

I closed on my new home recently and while attempting to move in around midnight the following night, I realized I was locked out. DC Locksmith had previously helped with a lockout on my prior home in 2023, so I called them. They were again prompt--Udi handled my request, and Avi came out within an hour on a Saturday night and got me into my new home. Soon after, they installed a keyless lock system. They do great, prompt work, and I'd definitely use them again. read more

We broke two keys in our front outside door lock, so we could only enter and exit through the back door. Avi came on time and replaced all 3 outside door locks with new ones on the same key. He also found a part for our 90 yo inner door that sets the deadbolt. Highly recommended! read more

Great service from Javi! He fixed my problem quickly and even improved my current lock so it was easier to use.

Avi was amazing this morning! A real expert! Amazing company. Quick emergency response.

Shiran was amazing to work with. He was thorough, prompt, proactive, patient, kind, knowledgeable, skilled and FAST! I feel so great about deciding to go with this service--and will definitely continue to work with this service. I will add Shiran and the DC Locksmith to my professional and personal Rolodex. I can't stop raving how Avi and this company came in at a time of need. They were punctual and came within 30-45 minutes. With inclement weather, and tenants expected to arrive , Avi worked tirelessly to get the situation resolved with an initial temporary fix and the providing a solid solution long term. The value has been tremendously. I see my tenants seamlessly able to utilize the entrance/exit. What a reliable, trustworthy, company! read more

I was charged 400 dollars for a service that took less than 30 seconds and involved the technician breaking my door open with a crowbar. This is an absolute scam of a company and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Excellent. They responded to my request quickly, provided recommendations, and completed the job as requested. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Avi is the right guy. Problem solved in a short time, efficiently. I strongly recommend.

Avi was very quick to respond, kind to communicate with, efficient, and reasonably priced.

DC Locksmith is hands down one of the most professional, customer-focused teams I've worked with -- five stars all the way. I had an issue with resetting my roll-up garage and no one else could figure it out. Their team came out, assessed everything within 20 minutes, and confirmed they could handle it. Sure enough, they ordered the right parts and got everything installed fast. I've got them on speed dial now for anything going forward. Can't say enough good things -- top-tier service. Thanks again. read more

Avi from DC Locksmith provided amazing and effective service, as well as was kind and sympathetic when we were locked out of our apartment late at night. He was also quickly responsive when we called about our situation at 2:30 AM when no other locksmith would answer. Not only did he arrive promptly, he got us into our apartment in less than thirty minutes while being reassuring to us throughout the entire stressful process. He also was willing to discuss the lock issues with our landlord and followed up in the morning to let us know he explained everything. Overall, Avi provided professional and remarkable service, so we highly recommend choosing DC Locksmith! read more

Udi was responsive, professional, and fixed our issues easily. We will be coming back for our future locksmith needs! Thank you!

They provided excellent service, very fast, professional and great price. Highly recommend!

Thank goodness for great services like DC Locksmith to save the day, and thank goodness for YELP with the assuring recommendations and helpful reviews! I needed new keys for my new apartment and Udi from DC Locksmith was quick to offer an estimate over e-mail before he came over, ensuring that the price was within my budget. When he arrived, he was personable, making sure I was OK and promptly changed the locks without any hiccups in a few short minutes. (DC Locksmith takes credit card, cash and check; and offers an emailed receipt). A few days later, somehow I lost my keys again in the stress of moving! I contacted Udi once again. He patiently suggested to take a day to look for my keys in case it showed up. Alas, they were no where to be found. So, Udi came out to my apartment yet again, and this time helped break into the old knob, so I can get into the house. He discarded the old knob and installed a new one with a color that better matched my doors. He was very friendly and talked down my stress about losing my keys - he said that it happens all the time to everyone (even to himself!) read more

I have used and recommended DC Locksmith in the past. I have always been most satisfied but something has profoundly changed with the business. I called and texted on the weekend with NO RESPONSE as of Monday morning. I followed up with another phone call and photos of the problem. They returned call and made an appointment for Tuesday. On Tuesday they FAILED TO SHOW OR CALL. I called them and was told that they had "an emergency" and would come later. I spent the entire day waiting for a call, text or email and as of this morning have had NO RESPONSE OR APOLOGY. A neighbor offered the name of a reliable competitor They came within two hours and the lock has been repaired. AVI and UVI are nice but office communication standards are not satisfactory. read more

I'd lost my key to my mailbox in my condo building's lobby (and discovered that the USPS no longer maintains inside mailboxes.) Avi quickly responded to my Yelp request and we set an appointment for the next day. Drilling out the lock was challenging and I think he broke a drill bit. Given the trouble he seemed to be having, I thought it would take a while. But it was all done in matter of 15-20 minutes. The charge was just about what I had expected. I am very happy with the job. read more

Avi did amazing! The fastest and most responsive locksmith of the night. 10/10 service and highly recommend.

DC Locksmith is great to work with. The front door lock on our condo building was failing because of years of use, and Udi and Avi were super helpful in figuring out a solution. We upgraded to a keypad, and they answered all my answers and were patient as I worked with our HOA to make the final decision. They were prompt, communicative and did a great job. Calling around, I was given very high prices to unlock a basic Schalge MBR lock, but DC Locksmith gave me a very reasonable price and then also gave me a fast response time. Avi on the phone was very friendly, and dispatch locksmith was friendly, polite, and great conversation. Excellent service from Avi just a few minutes ago. Responsive and timely. Very skilled and quick. Highly recommend.

DC Locksmith was super easy to work with and extremely helpful. The lock on my front door broke out of nowhere, such that the key would just turn the lock in circles and wouldn't actually open the door anymore. With three people living together on very different schedules, this resulted in folks getting locked out regularly when others forgot that the keys no longer worked from the outside. I called DC Locksmith on a Thursday and told them it was no rush, and they were still able to get to us by that following Monday. He laid out my options, informing me from the get-go why I was experiencing problems, what he could do to fix it, and which options would be more or less expensive. He talked out my options with me and let me come to my own choice without bias. Ultimately, I chose the slightly more expensive option because it would preserve the look of the door. He also fixed the inherent problem that caused the lock to get messed up in the first place, which was super nice of him as otherwise I likely would have had the same problem again in a few years. My lock now closes so easily that it feels like there's something wrong with it! Which of course, there is not, the door was simply never fitted correctly in the first place. There are two cats that live here and he was great with making sure they didn't get out while he was working. He was communicative and mindful of my needs. And all COVID-19 safety protocol were followed. Super grateful to them for their great work! I would definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

Did a great job. Was on time and finished the work quickly. I would recommend to all my friends and family.
