I hired Dani to install a new fingerprint smart lock on the front door of my historic home. Because the door is very old, the installation was a little more complicated than usual, but Dani handled it quickly and professionally. He was very kind and took the time to make sure everything was properly aligned and working perfectly before he left. His price was also very fair--one of the lowest quotes I received--while the quality of his work was superior. I would absolutely recommend him! read more

Timely service! Fixed our entry door lock set and was able to use same cylinder so no need for new keys!

We had a wonderful experience with Dani from Golden Hands Locksmith. I called and left a message, and he quickly texted me back and arranged an appointment for the very next day. He stayed in touch the morning of the appointment to keep me updated on his arrival time, which I really appreciated. Dani did an outstanding job fixing a deadbolt that wasn't working properly. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. The cost was reasonable and fair as well. Beyond that, he is a genuinely kind and warm person -- easy to communicate with and very professional. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience and would absolutely call Dani again for any future locksmith needs. Highly recommend! read more

Very responsive when I reached out, quick and clear communication with easy scheduling, and great service.

Four locks, four replacements. 20 minutes. Flawlessly installed. What else do you want? lol

Responded to an emergency lockout immediately, super easy to work with. Other places wanted me to call, but Golden Hands Locksmith provided a simple, reasonable quote based on the information I provided. Would hire again (though I hope I don't have to!). read more

Dani came out on the same day I contacted him and was fantastic. He was communicative, texted when he was en route, was the only locksmith I contacted who gave me the price up front without needing photos sent or any of that ahead of time. That made such a big difference, knowing what it would cost and having a normal transaction like most businesses instead of haggling with someone with hidden bs once they got there, you know? He worked quickly, he gave recommendations, and I would use him again in a heartbeat. All locksmiths should take a lesson from Dani and be as upfront, honest, and dependable. I can't imagine calling another locksmith ever. Thank you Dani! read more

One of the best if not the best locksmith within the DC, Maryland and Virginia. Very responsive, always answers the phone no matter the time. Would highly recommend as I have over and over again. Whenever I call I'm pretty stressed but easily relieved when they answer and handle the situation efficiently and effective. Thank you so much for your help throughout the years. It's invaluable. read more

The Good: Very quick to respond via Yelp messenger and gave one of the lowest quoted prices to rekey 7 locks and change out a couple others. Was able to come the next day. Friendly folks. The meh: There wasn't any communication of who would come out. I assumed it was the owner I messaged with, but it was another person who came and really had no idea what I had wanted. He was also 40 min late and took nearly three hours to complete the job. I wasn't in any rush, but could be inconvenient for some. Wasn't able to change one of the storm doors (cylinder wasn't compatible), which another company picked up on immediately but Goldenhands wasn't prepared for. We may get rid of that door anyway so wasn't a big deal. The bad: while unscrewing the doorknobs he let EVERY single one slam on the floors. Our flooring isn't amazing, but it could have really done some damage and showed lack of care. Left metal shavings and little metal things all over the place. The worst: he said, "all set can check out". I checked all the locks and keys myself, but one of the doors wouldn't close. I let him know and he said, "oh yeah that was giving me trouble, the lock wouldn't work with it closed" which means he KNEW he wasn't done and was going to let me pay and him take off. I said - well if it doesn't close and lock, it doesn't work...so it's not done" he took 30 more minutes to get it to close. It's still a little sticky, but works. TLDR: job got almost all of the way done for cheap, but with seemingly little care. Make sure you check the work. read more

These guys truly deliver affordable top notch service. I requested a couple quotes to rekey my condo in Arlington, and these guys were the cheapest and were very responsive. The technician was quick, and helped address another problem with the lock while putting it back together. He was able to cut me additional spare keys at a reasonable price, and he also cleaned up after himself, which was greatly appreciated! Overall these guys provide great service at a great price. I definitely would go back to them! read more

Dan of Golden Hands Locksmith provided excellent service in replacing a deadbolt lock. His estimate and pricing were fair and fully transparent with no attempts to upsell me on more expensive products-he simply provided a fixed price on what I requested for a deadbolt replacement. He was polite, professional, clearly competent as a licensed locksmith, arrived in a very timely manner and got the job done expeditiously. I will definitely be recommending him to others. read more

We needed to upgrade our door security. They came to evaluate the door, recommended a magnetic lock, had their magnetic lock installer come a few days later, and were responsive through the whole process. The installation was a little complicated but they made it work with a couple of visits and never increased their costs to us. The final product works seamlessly and looks great. read more
