Luis pointed out the door had improperly installed hinges and explained the correct fix in a way that made sense given the extra cost. I am satisifed with the work performed, the new piano style hinge looks great and the latch acuates with no resistance. The vertical door gap is straight and true (gap along top-side is not square because building settling). Time will tell about the quality of materials and installation, and I will update if anything changes, but I am a happy camper for now!
