At the outset, Omid thought it might be the fuser but after testing the printing using the bypass paper tray, and the print job completing, he quickly ruled out it being a fuser issue. At this point he did some research on his phone and then did a soft reset on the printer. Unbelievably it resolved my printer printing issue that I was having from using the main paper tray. He couldn't be sure as to why the printer settings were corrupted and had to be reset, but who cares at this point because I had been faced with buying a fuser, a new printer or any other expensive part. Most importantly I didn't have to continue going to the library to print anymore at $.15/page. I highly recommend Omid and his company.

When I returned to LapFix they plan to order from the same supplier and will charge me another $350 to replace the screen. I said no thank you, at this point I might as well buy a whole new laptop. My laptop was no longer charging and it looked as if the power cord connector was broken. The geeks told me they weren't sure what the problem was and if it was the connector/prongs, they would have to send my laptop back. I was pretty uncomfortable with that especially because they couldn't tell me exactly how much it would cost or how long they would have my laptop. So, to Yelp I went. Not sure why I didn't do that first, but thank goodness I did. Advanced Computer Center shares space with a Kitchen Remodeling store. So, don't get confused by the address and the store front. Advanced Computer Center was in the back of the store. The gentlemen who I assume is the owner and the technician was super friendly. He looked at my laptop and immediately could see what the problem was. He quoted me a price and told me when I could expect a call to pick up my laptop. As promised they called to tell me my laptop was fixed and I could pick it up. I'm typing from my laptop right now. So, that should show you that I'm a satisfied customer. And was flexible with me to be able to meet at his house & drop off my laptop. The issue was the left side hinge that someone came undone. He left me know he needed to order some screws and the updated price. Once he had the hinge "fixed" he didn't like the way the laptop screen now "stuck out". So he brought a new screen/backing for my laptop. Since he was not personally happy with the way it looked, he offered to buy me a new/used latop. I never saw it with the "poked out" screen but I would have rather kept my laptop. He said he would take some time and research for laptops of my specified specs. So, I said okay. Please let me know what you find before making any purchases. A few days later he calls and tell me that he opened up my laptop, saw water damage, and now miraculousy my laptop NO LONGER WORKS. The screen does not appear - even with external monitors, just black. This was very disappointing and frustrating. Laptop worked fine before I dropped it off, with the exception of the hinge that came undone. Not sure why he didn't check everything (atleast turning it on/off) in the beginning. I even asked if he wanted the power charging cord when I dropped off the laptop. Still dont understand why he would offer a new laptop and then a few days later say my laptop doesnt work and he's not going to replace my laptop. I paid $170 for the service & to get my laptop back, that is NO LONGER works now. Ultimately, I had to purchase a new laptop.
