TLDR: Stopped by for a snack & was not disappointed! Great in the go food for walking around the city. The musubis are customizable and rice comes out hot a fresh ! They also have musubi bowls which are LOADED (seen from afar lol). Everything was tasty & not too salty (original spam is VERY salty imo. I went around 5p on a Friday and it was moderate busy. Good space to sit inside if you want but getting a solo musubi is easy to take to go bc they wrap it in plastic for you. Even 1 musubi was large & about $7 depending on how many toppings you add ! I recommend trying this place if you're downtown.
Saw this place when we were looking for restaurants around the Pikes Public Market area. We grabbed some to go for our flight. Worked out great as snacks for our flight and they were delicious! Got their best seller spam+egg+avocado musubi. We also got a couple of their regular spam musubi too. The misubi was large and the price was reasonable.
This was a fast, easy stop for us to grab fresh musubi just a block from Pike Place Market. They offer an impressive variety at affordable prices, ranging from classic spam and spam-and-egg to shrimp katsu and other unique creations. They also have a fun selection of Hawaiian snacks and several beverage options. While the modern interior has a few tables and counter seats, this spot is highly recommended as a quick takeout option for a picnic nearby.
A conveniently located Hawaiian spot with dole whip and spam musubi (and other things)! You can order at the kiosk or with the cashier. Service was quick! Parking is a bit difficult. You could find paid street parking, but it won't be right outside.
Fast, hot, delicious home-style food; service - friendly and efficient; dining room/kitchen -spotless. We really enjoyed our donburi - we will be back to sample the Musubi!
Enjoyed our masubi and poke bowls! Not crowded early, right when it opened. I prefer a tad less rice in my masubi but otherwise DELICIOUS!
We stumbled upon this place because we were hungry and the menu sounded good. We ordered a variety of items and were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed everything we tried. The food was fresh, tasty, and nicely prepared. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and a good experience. I'd definitely consider coming back to try some other items whenever we visit Seattle again.
This pineapple sukiyaki donburi was around $15, and I would've liked more rice to balance out the meat, but otherwise, it was delicious and filling. I'll definitely try a Musubi next time I visit! The space had a wooden interior that was cozy and a nice place to sit down and eat. The staff were also very friendly and were quick to jump into action when my friend was missing an order. This is next to the Seattle Symphony, so a great place to stop by for a meal before a concert!
Solid musubi snackS! Great little spot to pop in a grab a little snack or order a couple and make it a full meal! Beers available too!
Definitely a very convenient choice if you're in a hurry or just need a quick snack. Tempora shirmp musubi was a little stale and not crunchy. Eel + daikon musubi ratio was very off. Too much rice with very little eel. In terms of service, food came out pretty quick. But then again, it's just protein on top of rice.
Food is excellent. Service is super fast. They were really busy after the us soccer match and we still got our food in probably less than 5 minutes. Nice place not a lot of table space.
I am so glad that this place exists since we can't always go to Oahu for our favorite musubi place! We've ordered here a few times already and their musubis are delicious! The spam slices are thick and their sauce is just perfect! The interior is pretty cool and I'd love to dine in here next time!
Musubi Kai is a little hole in the wall, with a small amount of chairs and tables for dining in. I assume most people take their food to go since the musubi comes in Saran Wrap. The musubi are heftier than you'd expect. They can be a hearty snack or even a light meal. I got the spam + egg + avocado musubi. My order was freshly made and was excellent. If I lived in Seattle this would be one of my go to grab-n-go lunch spots. Highly recommended!

Loved my visit here, small seating area for a quick grab and go kind of style cafe. Many musibi options that come out piping hot! Service was fast and friendly, will definitely stop by again when we downtown again! read more

Good, hearty vegetarian options. Also easy to make substitutions in bowls--I opted for daikon instead of corn in mine. read more

We had salmon poke, musubi with egg and avocado, and grilled eel over rice. The prices were very affordable, but the food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. The staff were super kind and even offered free water without us asking. The musubi here is better than what we had in Japan and Hawaii! read more

Really good musubi Average other items Went with friends after a visit to SAM. Perfect place to grab something that's filling but not too heavy in a chilly spring evening. Don't necessarily recommend the sukiyaki +_+ But all flavors of musubi are delicious. A bit on the pricier side with snacks. read more

I am very glad that Musabi Kai was where I tried musubi for the first time. There are several variations including some musubis with cucumber, avocado, and egg, and were all very affordable. This is a great place for a quick and low-price lunch option. They also have lots of side options like mac salad and miso soup. We ordered at a kiosk and waited for our food around 8 minutes. I recommend you order to go when it's busy lunch rush as seating fills up quickly. read more
A great spot for fresh and tasty food! I loved that they had a vegetarian musubi option, but was a little disappointed that the tofu poke bowl had crab salad on it automatically and I had to make sure to ask for it off. There's a few options that could be veggie friendly so would be great to highlight those easy chances. Overall really yummy and well located spot! read more

Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Musubi Kai is always packed with downtown workers during lunch hours. I've gotten their musubis as well as poke bowls, and their musubis are far more superior than the poke bowls. I tried their spam + egg musubi and the shrimp katsu musubi and they were both delicious. Will be back to try other musubis on their menu. read more

So when you walk in it's a small place but with bar type seating and a few other tables . When I came in today it was a long line . They have one kiosk for you to order from. From the moment I walked in , waited in line and ordered and got my food was maybe 12 minutes tops. It's a very fast turn around time . I ordered spam musubi and an order of potato mac and salad and everything was amazing !! i had to walk maybe 12 minutes to get back to my hotel after making an additional stop and the food is packed very well and is piping hot . So i appreciated that . They wrap the spam and then put it in a to go container so it's nice and hot . I will be back read more
Went here after seeing a Sunday afternoon show at Benaroya Hall. My hubs and I ordered five musubi: 2 classic with SPAM, 1 with SPAM, bacon and avocado, 1 with BBQ eel (unagi) and daikon, and 1 vegan with inari (thin folded tofu flavored with soy sauce and sugar) and cucumber and avocado. They were all really satisfying! We will be back next time we see another show downtown. read more

This new establishment is such a great addition to the downtown food scene. I love musubis. I have tried... so far the regular spam musubi and a eel and daikon musubi. Loved them both. The eel was very tender. The spam, now dang, that was a pretty big slice. Bigger than your standard issue musubi, which is awesome. The rice ball making up the musubi had great texture and flavor. I look forward to trying more of their offerings. read more

Stopped back in to try more dishes and they are absolutely fantastic! I don't think you can go wrong here with any decisions. The poke bowl is fresh and flavorful while the loco moco has a rich gravy tasty and is out of this world. What an amazing spot in downtown! Will be my new go to. read more

Musubis are about $5 depending what you get, kinda expensive but not shocking for Seattle. Musubis were pretty good, the katsu one however was not great, wouldn't get again. Service was fine, you just get pointed to ordering at the self order stand, which is literally next to the cashier, and they wait on you to order, lol. It was kind of weird and felt rushed, nobody was even in line but whatever. Otherwise it felt like very casual vibes in there. read more
Sooooo delicious!! Made to order and really fresh. All the flavors meld beautifully. I had the avocado, egg and bacon and loved the slightly sweet sauce and oh so fresh, warm rice. I was surprised how much that little piece of bacon made a difference. Very helpful staff. Can't wait to go back!! read more
We saw this place on Instagram and decided to check it out since we were nearby. The pineapple paired really nicely with the beef sukiyaki over rice. It was the perfect comfort food on a cold afternoon. Both the spam musubis were tasty and we really enjoyed them. The price per spam musubi was a little steep though $4 for a classic and $5 for a spam+egg+eel musubi. I'd come back to order the same things or to try out different things on their menu. read more

Finally...a place in Seattle that offers a variety of different musubis!! I'm so happy this spot opened up. All the musubis I have tried here were so good! I also loved the Loco Moco they served as well. Service was quick and friendly. Musubis were packed and presented beautifully and the Loco Moco also had a great presentation. The location is about one block away from Pike Place Market on 1st & Union, so parking will be hard to find, but the food here is definitely worth checking out. read more

Laid back vibe for a quick and easy dinner. I ordered the $14 Loco Moco and it was pretty tasty; I'd order it again. The family ordered the $15 Pineapple Beef Sukiyaki, 2 Spam Musubi ($4 each) and ~$5 Udon. The beef and musubi were tasty too per family! The Udon I appreciated that it was an option for my kiddo, but was surprised at the price; however I forget everything is more pricey these days! read more
Stopped in with my husband on Wednesday and....we CAN'T wait to go back! From the chill and inviting atmosphere, cleanliness, and great service, we were ecstatic the food had the same high quality. It is a little intimidating ordering through a touch screen but I'm sure I'll get it. We got the regular signature Musubi, one with added avocado, and one that had egg and cheese. We also tried their macaroni potato salad (I believe) which was to die for! Highly recommend! Easy to eat for on the go, a nice comfortable place to sit if that's what you're after too. With their prices, can't wait to visit again! read more

Such a cute and convenient musubi spot in downtown Seattle, right by Pike Place. Each musubi is about $4-5 and they offer bowls and specialty Asian & Hawaiian snacks, too. This is going to be my new go-to spot for a quick bite! read more

SO GOOD. Great staff, friendly and gave us a good recommendation. The restaurant vibes are simple, I personally loved the Spam cans as napkin holders. The food was delicious, we got the spam egg musubi, the breakfast musubi, the shrimp, Katsu, and the spam egg and avocado musubi, and the spam egg and cucumber musubi. read more

Very impressed and happy with the generous spam cut in these musubi at the $5 price point! The taste and crunch of the shrimp katsu musubi was excellent. I typically don't buy musubi when home in Hawai'i cause I make my own - but I would certainly come back here for the variety, and again, at the $5 price point. Dine-in service was unexpected (could've threw away my own paper plate and rubbish, but they came by to clean our table). Atmosphere reminds me of any food place in Hawai'i but with a mainland/Seattle flare. Very convenient to the Belltown area. Mahalo! read more
Musubi Kai is a great grab and go spot close go Pike Place but away from the crowds. It's very clean inside, AC when it's hot out, and you order via a tablet. You can see previews of the menu items, add allergens, and substitutes and the staff will bring your order out when ready. The musubis are also individually wrapped. Restrooms are for customers only and within the shared building so you'll need to request a bathroom key. Great spot if you're feeling peckish but don't want to do a full sit down meal! read more

This is my new favorite lunch spot in Seattle!! Super yummy, affordable, convenient. It is a perfect spot for a quick bite. The spam musubis are made to perfection, seasoned so well. I usually do not like spam musubis, but I can have these ones endlessly!! I also loved the shrimp katsu musubi. The shrimp is very plump and perfectly paired with the katsu sauce. The restaurant is clean, and it was packed with a line when I came during lunch hours. I ended up picking up extra for my flight the next day and it was the best decision I've made. They also have cute merch too which I got!! I cannot wait to come back and try different kinds of musubis. read more
