Went to Murray Brothers Caddy Shack last night for our first time! We were assisted quickly & taken to a table that at first had very bright lights. As my husband is very light sensitive due to being blind in one eye- our server Morgan was gracious enough to see if we could change tables but instead the manager Brian turned the lighting down for us. He also took a few moments of his time to talk about our first time there. We tried the Crispy Potato Golf Balls per Brian's recommendations & the Buffalo Cucumbers which were both amazing! Our meals - The Rueben & Sliders were perfect! The extra crispy French fries were everything my husband has ever dreamed of in a "burn 'em" request! The restaurant has wonderful ambiance & it was fun looking at all the memorabilia. After dinner we went into the bar for a couple cocktails and were pleased that Morgan continued to be our amazing server. The food was perfectly priced, the atmosphere was everything we imagined it would be & Morgan was perfect! We will definitely be back & are sorry we didn't come there sooner! read more

Staying at the hotel next door, we originally went to the hotel restaurant but we could tell by the un-bussed tables that they were running behind. So we walked next door and we're quickly seated at a cozy booth. I ordered the Turkey Reuben and my wife got the cranberry chicken salad. We shared our dishes and both were very tasty and well prepared. The Reuben was hot and the crinkle fries were honestly the best prepared I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot)! They were hot, crispy on the outside and soft inside with a golden brown hue. Such a simple food but often done poorly. The salad had a huge portion of spinach and generous portions of cranberries and walnuts. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a grilled flavor and the goat cheese was fresh. The dressing was generously portioned as well, so if you like less dressing definitely get it on the side. Jessica was our server and she was spot on. From recommending her favorite dishes to always being there when she was needed with a smile on her face. I'm stingy with my star ratings but Caddyshack earned all 5 for us tonight. The first impressions I got were great! Just as I expected, memorabilia from the movie and more surrounded the restaurant. The menu was diverse and and cutely named to match the theme. The portions are abundant and probably best shared. So find a couple of things to split and make the most of it. My curiosity thankfully couldn't pass up the fried golf balls (fried mashed potatoes balls). These are probably the best thing on the menu. The chicken and waffles were two huge chicken beasts layered between generous portions of waffles. The reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars was the lack of service. Due to what I assume was a slow time due to covid, the restaurant was mainly empty. You would think that would lead to better service, sadly that was not the case. Our drinks stayed empty and our server took forever to take out order. While the food is worth it if you are a huge fan or have tome to kill, go for it, however, if you are in a hurry I would skip this one. read more

Not really sure how this place is still in business. Some of the menu is "okay" but not great. Super cool bar but the ambiance not so much. It really does have great potential though. This place has such an awesome menu. When you look at it, you end up wanting like 7 different things. Basically you have to choose quickly and put the menu down before you change your mind. Last night I had the French onion soup, even though it was hot as Hades out, the chicken with romesco I sauce and Brussels sprout hash. The soup had the perfect amount of bubbly cheese on top and a nice portion of bread hidden underneath. The soup was savory and sweet. It was all a great combination. The chicken was really delicious, I am going to have to force myself not to get it again next time so I can try something else! The sauce was really creamy and had a nice amount of heat. The hash was fantastic! Finely shaved Brussels and bacon! Yes! It got kind of crowded and loud because it was trivia night which looked like a good time! We stumbled on Caddyshack while driving from New Jersey to Disney. We needed a lunch break with about 2 hours to go so we stopped when we saw the sign from 95. The place takes a few minutes to reach off the exit, and is somewhat hidden when you get to the area. We were immediately seated and the service was fast and friendly. There is a nice pond view once seated. The server was fast getting our drinks and order placed however it took a little time for the food to arrive. This proves difficult based on how long we were in the car with our kids. When the food arrived it was all better. My wife a really good salad, I had the rueben. Kids chicken fingers and a burger finished our order. All good but nothing spectacular. Friendly, good food, fun atmosphere read more

What could be better than fried mashed potato balls with cheddar & bacon? So good. #WhyTheSouthWillNeverRiseAgain Decent side salad with tasty house-made ranch dressing- it's the little things, am I right? Anyways, I ordered the crab cakes that were super tasty- piping hot, plenty of flavorful crabmeat, and a nice toasty crust around the outside. Yes, it hit the spot. And then I found a hair in it. Honestly, they were so good I almost didn't care, and the waitress was so sweet, I didn't wanna complain. But you know, HAIR in your food is not cool. So I told her the crab cakes are awesome and she is awesome but I found a hair and could someone in the kitchen please just pay more attention next time. She's mortified. So she takes my plate apologetically, and brings back another with new crab cakes, except they were cold in the middle. So what's worse? Hot hairy crab cakes or cold crab cakes. Who knows? Either way, they still charged me for them. So why 2 stars? Tasty appetizers, decent ambience, lovely service, and the free "I'm sorry we put hair in your food" dessert. read more

Our larger group came here for a celebration and sat in the banquet room. The servers did a great job dividing up our group and handling the separate checks. The food came out very quickly which surprised us all. We started with the gold balls which my son LOVED. I do believe they were the best thing we had. I had a club sandwich on rye which was just ok. It's tough to screw up a club sandwich and there was nothing about mine that stood out. I think all of our food was 3/5 star. Very average and ok. The place loses a star because it seemed dirty. The floor was sticky and there were several missing chunks form the wall in the restroom. There is some fun memorabilia on the walls and the restaurant itself looks over a pond and fountain (feed the giant fish for a quarter!). The place definitely needs a freshening up, both in the decor/cleanliness and in the passion given to the food. I would not recommend unless you are a big Caddyshack/Murray fan. read more

Service was pleasant; however, food was subpar bar type of fare. We chose the spinach dip for the table. The dip looked like someone ate out of it... probably just the way the spoon was carelessly pushed into it. It was not hot. I had the grilled red fish sandwich and fries; there was also fish and chips aka fries. Grilled fish a tad bit undercooked in the center. Beer battered Fish was huge. Food was decent temp. Long story short, food was average and service was below average. The soon to be mother-in-law from Charleston drove down for the weekend. She goes to a decent about of Riverdogs games and jokes about her and Bill Murray being good friends (he has no idea who she is). But when she heard there was a restaurant that Bill and his brothers operated and that Bill was in town, she wanted to give it a shot. The three items that were ordered were the Italian Sandwich, Classic Cheeseburger and Chicken & Waffles. I ordered the Italian. It was average at best. It reminded me of Ropa Vieja on a hoagie with some chopped peppers. I got the veggies as my side and they were actually the best part of my meal. It was green beans and red onion sautéed (maybe microwaved) in a garlic butter. The cheeseburger didn't look like anything special but there wasn't much commentary. I will say my fiancé liked the Chicken & Waffles. She said the syrup was either spicy cherry or spicy strawberry. She doesn't really like spicy food and she really likes to cover any breakfasty food in syrup so she got a bunch of regular syrup to dilute the special kind that came with the meal. We got there around 830P but it was a Friday night so it wasn't too late. I think our server got cut and was doing her side work most of the time we were there. After we ordered we didn't see her until after someone else delivered our entrees and we pretty much ate what we could. Luckily the neighboring server was kind and grabbed us drink refills and that extra syrup. Unless someone makes a special request to go here I don't think we'll go back. read more

I was so excited to go here but left disappointed. I got the Italian beef and it tasted unseasoned and the bread was inedible it was so soggy. My husband got the bang bang chicken. It was ok, but he said the sauces tasted like bottled boom boom sauce and was nothing special, especially for the price. I have two stars because the golf balls were really good, and the kids meals were good. My daughter got the Mac & cheese and my son got the chicken strips. Driven by MANY times on drives but always in between meal times. But the area around lunchtime and headed straight to it. Btw, if you're headed north on I-95, AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE SIGN IN THE DISTANCE ON THE RIGHT, make for the exit. It's located in the back of World Golf Village and there's no good turnaround if you miss the exit. It opens at 11:30 and, from the posted sign on the door, closes from time to time for reservations and events. If you're dead set on going, call first. Had I come a day later, it would've been closed. OK, I'll admit I was a little let down by the location. It just looks a little run down. Some of the props and decor just need some love and attention. I asked for a recommendation from the bartender and he said the turkey club. Many of the reviews had said the same recommendation so I went for it. It's a great club sandwich and I definitely recommend it. In fact, I'll probably stop on the way next time up, just to order it. Their sweet tea is OK. Other than the lackluster decorations, my one complaint is their smelly bathroom. Yeah, it has that urine in the grout smell. I was there at opening and it was strong so it's not an end of day thing. All in all, I enjoyed it enough to stop again while I'm in the area. read more

So very tasty! The chicken was fried and seasoned perfectly! The sauce on top paired so well with everything and the rice was soft and tasty! My only problem is the portion size. I added on the mashed potato's and my meal was already expensive for what it just came for which was not enough for me. So I think if they included and extra size with this meal for the same price it would deserve a 5 star! read more

The burgers were a big hit, the quinoa dish was a delight, and the spinach chicken salad was perfectly adequate. Christian was a terrific server. We arrived 30 minutes before closing but didn't feel rushed or like regrettable patrons. He was very attentive, friendly, helpful, and our food came quickly. My husband and I had moved into the area about a month ago and had spotted this restaurant in World Golf Village. We were really excited to try it because of our love for the movie Caddyshack and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is really cool and gives you a good sense of the humor from the movie. But that's not what makes this restaurant a hit, the food was tremendously delicious and the staff were so kind to us given our wild almost 2 year old child who refused to sit down jn the booth the entire time. I would hands down order the Teriyaki Burger again and my husband said the fish and chips were the best he's ever had. Not to mention our son downed the French fries. We actually did not come to eat, but watch UFC. We were seated near the bar where the only TVs were located, but the host was very insistent on getting one of the stations changed so we can watch it. We eventually found the channel and the bartender was very willing to put it on. Christin was our server. She recommended the golf balls as an appetizer, so we put in an order while we decided what to drink. They had cute specialty drinks, including the yummy one I ordered, the Pool Water Martini. It was Pinnacle chocolate vodka, Frangelico & blue curaçao with a plop of mini Baby Ruth (yes, the candy bar). It was yummy and humorous. It represents the "doodie" from the movie "Caddyshack", which stars Bill Murray, one of the owners of the establishment. Our golf balls came out and they were tasty! Dipped in the horseradish sauce, they were perfect. We even got an order to go. We didn't stay for the fights, so we didn't order food, but I did have a Bloody Murray before we left. It was perfect. Had dinner here before an IMAX movie. Our server was very pleasant and as quick as she could be. Her section was full. There is lots of movie memorabilia all around the restaurant. It was fun looking at everything but it's all a bit dated. The menu is great with lots of good choices. Something for everyone. The portions were pretty big. Nothing spectacular but very tasty. The Ruben was insanely good. The fish was a little greasy and the batter wasn't cooked all the way through. The salad had all fresh ingredients and was delicious. The best part was we left room for dessert. The monster sundaes we ordered were amazing. Overall a good place to grab a quick meal before a movie. Plenty of parking in the lot. I have been to Caddyshack in St Augustine several time and they never disappoint. We frequent a resort close by and Caddyshack is our go to spot for a drink and good food when we are there. It is a laid back atmosphere with fun memorabilia overlooking the gorgeous golf course. They have indoor, bar, and patio seating. The bar serves a good amount of beer options and they make delicious cocktails. The food is not what I would label as bar food, it is better quality than that, but has many of the options you would enjoy in that category. Their fish and chips are delicious and the spinach and artichoke dip is one of my favorite appetizers. The service is fast and friendly. I would highly recommend. read more
