Their Philly was good, cheesy, juicy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the 10 inch Philly Original and a side of chicken tenders and a side of ranch. I ordered via DoorDash because I was having a tough time staying sane after work. I was waking up around 5-5:30 which is 2-2:30AM PST to workout and head to the office which means by 3PM EST, I was itching to hurry up back to my hotel room. Anyway. I am glad I ordered from here that night. I wanted something easy to eat and filling. I think my meal allowance is $70 a day but I didn't come close to the amount because I skip breakfast to not feel lethargic at work and I cannot eat lunch and dinner because though I have a weight problem, I cannot eat that much food in a short span. How odd! I try not to eat so late. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. I throughly enjoyed the chicken tenders and ranch, too. It was not over cooked and they're rather thin which made it not overly over the top as a side. This place, Mr. Spots definitely hit the spot.

Cool local college spot that we chose for hot wings and they delivered! Small space with lots of signed sport memorabilia on the walls. The wings were hot, fried hard and spicy! The service was fast and with a smile.

Mr Spots is hands down one of the best hole in the wall gems in Ann Arbor. I usually get the steak hoagie (minus onions) and a sack of waffle fries. This is an absolutely delectable combination. The cheese on the hoagie is perfectly melted and piping hot, with the fresh tomatoes and lettuce as a nice contrast. The line can be long at times (especially when there's a sports game going on), but Mr Spots is definitely worth the wait.

My fiance and I came to Ann Arbor for a weekend trip and stopped by here because we heard Tom Brady liked it, and my fiance loves Tom Brady. You walk in and it's very casual, with cool photos and articles of different athletes hung on the wall. We got to order right away. Service was very friendly and patient as we figured out what to order. We ultimately got a Philly cheesesteak, chili cheese fries, bbq wings, and a lemonade. All were simple but tasty! Exactly what you would expect. It was fun to read about Tom Brady's experience here and have an affordable and delicious meal!

OMG! Soooooo good. If you could only get one item off their menu, make sure it's the cheesesteak with extra cheese. The meat was tender, the cheese was cheesing, and the roll was soft. I also got the fries which were delivered cold, but seasoned. I'm that toxic person who has to get something sweet when I eat something salty/savory so I also ordered the chocolate malt milkshake and that was great as well. If only my stomach was big enough to finish it all, but at least I have leftovers. This was easily one of the best cheesesteaks I've had outside of Philly.

I dig dingy college food joints and was truly hoping to love this spot. Wings and cheesesteaks? Sign me up! One might suggest that Mr Spots makes good drunk food, but the flaws in their main offerings would not pass muster even if I were three sheets to the wind. The only thing that elevated my experience beyond one star was their willingness to serve my six piece wing order as all flats, without an added premium. Flats rule. Drummettes drool. Actually, I should not cast aspersions about drummettes. The more people eat 'em the more flats are left for me and the rest of the chicken wing cognoscenti. But I digress. The best part of dingy college food joints is typically the low prices. I get that food costs are drastically on the rise, and wing prices in particular have gone through the roof. So I did not let a $10 order of six wings dissuade me. However paying an additional buck fifty for blue cheese and celery, felt punitive. And north of $7 for a six inch cheesesteak? If the food is good, I'm certainly willing to pay for it. Except the food is not good. It's not just not good for the price. It would not be good for even half of the price. To be fair, the wings smelled great. I ordered the food to go, but parked right outside the front door. It was literally seconds between getting the hot food in my hands and opening the styrofoam lid in the card. The wings looked great too! Large, well-sauced, and with crispy edges. While the wings were certainly crispy at some point in their lives, something awful must have happened to them along way. At the tips of the wings, there was still a little crunch, however the skin of the wings was flabby AF. Additionally the wings were barely warm in their center. It seemed as if these wings had been fried in advance and were simply reheated. My wing loving daughter, who I've seen tear through a pile of wings, tried one and simply could not go on. Then she tried a bite of the cheesesteak, and was done with that too after her first taste. I cannot abide wasting food, so I dutifully finished our order, but it was without an iota of pleasure. The cheesesteak improved a bit when it was dragged through the wing sauce and drizzled with the blue cheese dressing. But even that magical combination of flavors could not make the sandwich anything better than edible. When I think that people are ordering wings at Mr. Spots when they could be going to the newer place down Packard, I weep a bit for humanity. With chicken wings being ever more precious and in reduced supply, I feel it's more important than ever for wing places to respect their ingredients and do good things with these delectable morsels. This was more than a little disappointing. At least now I know and never have to return.

Great place to go if you're craving something quick and cozy. I regret not coming here as often in my undergraduate years. You can tell that this place is a frequent location for a lot of students. Definitely give it a try if you want a nice meal after studying!

Can I get a heeeeeeckkkkk yeah?! This sandwich is BOMB. I have to add, I ate this sandwich 4 hours after I got it and it still tasted amazing. $11 for a 10 inch cheesesteak, gooey cheese, and a ton of steak inside - can't beat it. I ordered it at about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was finished in less than 10 minutes. Best cheese steak around!

I ordered the 10 inch Philly cheese steak. I usually order the 10 inch Philly original. This time I wanted to try something new. I was very disappointed to find out that the Philly cheesesteak is nowhere near as good as the original. I feel wronged and this should be taken off the menu. NEVER AGAIN. Tom Brady was wrong.

This place was unassuming from the outside, but super neat when you walk in. The owner is obviously a Michigan/ Patriots fan because his Tom Brady fan gear is all over. I have to say, I wasn't expecting great things from this place, and they wowed me. Expect to fight for seating or take it to go on game days- there isn't a lot of "real estate" but it makes it up for it in food taste. I got the cheese steak with sauce on the side & onion rings. Hubs and I shared a chocolate shake and I munched on a chocolate chip cookie on the way to the hockey game. The cheesesteak was cooked amazingly, but when I picked it up, some hot grease spilled out of the meat onto my lap, so that wasn't cool, but it tasted great. It had an amazing savory taste. I thought they should have offered some au jus with it, that would have sent it over the top. I wasn't fond of the watery marinara and glad I got it on the side. The shake was great, but not $5 great. Same with the onion rings, nothing to write to mom about but a plentiful serving that we couldn't finish. I want to try the cheese fries and brownie next time I'm around. The cookie was a shrink wrapped and not locally or hand made. Overall, this place was unexpectedly great.

First things first, this is Ann Arbor staple and a must try for all the Mighty Wolverine faithful. I was recommended this place from an alumni and he did not miss! Mr Spots is the SPOT for Wings hands down! I ordered the boneless wings with garlic Parmesan and a side of hot sauce. Every piece was a hit! I highly recommend this place if you haven't been already and for whenever you're in Ann Arbor craving wings!

While I hate Ann Arbor, I love Mr. Spots. This place has killer wings and even better waffle fries. If you're in a wing & fry mood, you could do worse that Spots. Personally, I think this place has better food than Buffalo Wild Wings, though I prefer the wings at Hooters. Can't beat those waffle fries though. read more

This is an Ann Arbor junk food institution. Filled with Michigan history on the walls, Spot's feels like a mini-museum of Michigan sports memorabilia. The cheese steaks are very good - I have been to Tony Luke's, Pat's, Geno's, and other Philly cheese steak meccas and Spot's is on par with them. The prices aren't dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for. The staff is hands-off after they bring you your food, which is fine, because you'll probably be too busy stuffing your face and watching sports on TV to care. read more

Love the food here. Cheesesteak, waffle fries, and wings.....perfect combo! Prices are bit high but I think the wings here taste better than most places. The portions are big so you'll definitely get full. read more

The cheese steaks and waffle fries are excellent. I can see how they would be a great hang over cure. What pisses me off is that they don't deliver 2.5 miles away. Apparently the downtown dwelling students are who they cater to. Oh well, their loss. read more

Ok food. A little pricey. But good if you're craving greasy onion rings, wings, and chee steaks. CAUTION: suicide wings are very hot. I always eat the spiciest level, but this really put me to my limit. Not the spiciest wing I've ever had, but too spicy for a recreational eater. Still good though. read more

Cheap and quick to go food that always hits the spot! Not the best food in town but when you are feeling something greasy spots is a good choice. The boneless wings are always a good choice in my opinion. Half a dozen wings and a 6 inch philly original will fill you right up. Delivery is pretty speedy as well. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of cheese steak hoagies, but their suicide wing dings with a side of their beautifully seasoned waffle fries definitely hit the spot every time I go there. Also what makes them really unique about their delivery is that every time I order delivery I get it just as fresh and hot as I would if I were dining in. Most definitely my new to-go spot for wings in Ann Arbor. read more

My favorite hoagie in the whole world. Discovered during my undergrad years, went back during my graduate years and continue to go back every time I am in Ann Arbor. My favorite is the steak hoagie. I say easy mayo because otherwise it's just too much. My tailgate friends love the wings but I keep to the hoagies! Waffle fries are the best, too!!! read more

The Cheese steaks here are pretty good now the best that I have had, but they get the job done fairly well. I had their Chicken cheesesteak and fries. my bigest gripe is with the fries but other than that it is a fairly good restaurant. The atmosphere here is decent. despite looking kinda trashy it is fairly relaxing. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Mr. Spots is awesome for all types of greasy food. Most people will tell you about how good the wings or the Philly Cheese Steaks are, but the hidden gem on their menu is the BURGER. It's puts Quickie Burger to shame. I'd also rather go here over BTB anyday of the week. read more

Friendly staff, good value for the dollar and the only good cheesesteak in Ann Arbor. On a first trip I'd highly suggest getting 2 different sandwiches (just to try a few different things) and getting an order of waffle fries. Parking is a bit iffy so I'd suggest a carryout order if you don't have time to kill. read more

Order was chili cheese fries, chicken fingers, 2 doz hot wings with bone and a full Mr.Spots cheese steak. What was good: Ccheese fries. Chicken figers... just fine. Who can't make those? Not so good: Wings were WAY overcooked making them leather-like. Was more like eating wing-jerky. Spice however, was good. Sandwich lacked flavor and doesn't deliver well as the bread was soggy to the point where you needed a spoon to eat it. I didn't want to Yelp this but their website has no way to provide feedback directly. They should change that unless they want 2 star reviews to end up in the public eye. We might try them again but there are many other places that can provide similar offerings so it will be a while before we dial there number again. read more

I went to Mr. Spots a couple of weeks ago with a friend for lunch. The atmosphere was simple and nothing special. The service was very friendly and quick. As for the food....I always a fan of philly cheese steaks. The sandwich wasn't good but could have been better. The sandwich definitely would have been better if the bread was toasted and if the cheese was more melted. read more

I had a certificate from Restaurant.com that I hadn't had a chance to use for quite some time. I'm not plugging restaurant.com here but it is a reputable site. I brought the certificate to Mr. Spots looking forward to some wings and a steak'n'cheese hoagie until I was told that they would not honor the certificate. Note: these certificates do not have an expiration date. Why not just honor the certificate that you were registered with and keep the customer happy? On the other hand, why bother being honest and honoring the commitment when there are plenty of customers coming through the door.... read more

Mr. Spot's, what can I say? Awesome cheesesteaks, wings, and the waffle fries are the best in town! Dip those fries in some of Mr. Spot's famous hot sauce and you'll be back for more. The owners, Tim and Keith are nice local guys who really care about their business. The inside is decorated with all kinds of sports stuff and you can tell the store really cares about the University and it's students. A true blue restaurant. read more

I ordered a hoagie and a drink. It came to like twelve bucks. I felt like I just walked out of the bookstore, especially after I ate it. I asked for a receipt, and they don't even have itemized receipts. I think the fountain pop was like three bucks. The sandwich was not bad, it just was not worth the money. I think that people sometimes equate high price with high quality and good taste. I was not impressed. read more

Let's be very clear, the only reason this place isn't a 4 star is because there are better cheesesteaks out there. Not by much, but Gabriel's in Ypsilanti and Pat's in Philly both have a better sandwich. Spot's differentiates itself by the mountain of waffle fries they provide, the fact that they deliver (slowly), and the in store dining experience promises sports on TV and all the ketchup your bun and fries can soak up. I've been to this place over 50 times, maybe closer to 100. I've picked it up and had it delivered in the same day. Spots is the ultimate hangover cure, and by hangover cure I mean sleep-inducer. They might as well have a disclaimer on the aluminum foil that says "may cause drowsiness, do not eat while driving or operating heavy machinery). Eating spots cheesesteaks requires at least 2 hours of napping or 4 hours of TV to shake-off, after which you'll be ready for a night out at Rick's or the Jug. I recommend the Philly O with mushrooms and Wiz but the Wings are also awesome. read more

I'm not a fan of this place. The cheesesteak was nothing close to the Philly original. They don't offer a Cheese Whiz option; you can't call yourself a Philly Cheesesteak place without that. The steak was under-seasoned; the American cheese wasn't completely melted; and, the onions were undercooked. Then, there is also the issue of cleanliness. I got a Sprite from the soda machine, and when I looked at the cup, there was brown organic matter in it. The food sucks, and the restaurant is diirty. Stay away from this place. read more

The layout is a bit awkward they only have window seating which is another reason I would just pick up your order and go, not a lot of room to eat inside. Also as soon as you walk in you hit the pick up window and have to make your way through a bunch of people before getting to the ordering line. Being from NY, I had to try their Reuben called a Rick's Reuben on a Black Russian bagel which is like a rye pumpernickel bagel. The bagel was solid the sandwich is just ok for 13-14 dollars only put in one slice of corn beef, the maize n blue deli across the street offers better sandwiches at a better value. I would come back for their bagel and cream cheeses, but avoid ordering in house and pass on their deli sandwiches

If the owner is there, the quality is decent and the bagels are made better, but very different than when the owner is not there. ...the quality has been really bad last three times... and the owner was nowhere to be seen. Like it's two different bagel spots... Won't be back for at least 6 months. Hopefully it's better next time.

So I approach the counter and place my order: iced banana foster with peanut butter cold foam (up-charge). Before ordering I did ask if the banana flavor was subtle or more forward tasting and she stated it was subtle so I asked for more banana flavoring as well. When I got the drink - I first noticed the foam was missing - so I asked about this and she said it was because the cold foam frother was broken. So I asked why was I charged for foam if it was broken and she said she forgot and didn't offer a refund or anything and I was running late, so I left. I take a sip in the car and notice that there's absolutely no banana flavor to the drink - it tasted like a basic iced latte with cane syrup. Overall, just disappointed with the service and drink itself lacking flavor and the up charge for something I didn't receive. Maybe this was a one off but I don't I'd return.

Despite them having online ordering they don't have a drink menu online and the happy hour is advertised (as of May 2024) as "up to 50% off drinks). My vodka soda during happy hour was about $5 which was fine (even though it was small, made with well, and served in a plastic cup) but it does seem concerning that the full price for said drink could be closer to $10. A bit egregious considering many places in the area have happy hours with real, good cocktails for the same price. The real draw of the happy hour menu imo is the list of $5 apps. I got two sliders with fries and they were good and the portion size was great for the price. While I was there, I saw a bartender making two drinks. He knocked one over and about half spilled out and he topped it up with ice and mixer. I'd be pretty pissed if that were my drink, ngl. For the vibe and the cheap eats I'm being a bit generous with 3 stars, otherwise it would be a 2. Overall much better places to drink in AA.

Naked Chicken Wings Cooked very well. This is a somewhat unique feature of Mr. Spots. Have been visiting here intermittently since 1995 (2016 now!!) PRetty consistent recipie, its is a somewhat sour vinegary striking flavour for the Naked wings. Slightly overcookes, Made just crispy enough , which most restaurants can not do without battering /deep frying. SO in conclusion their unique naked wings making system is very specific and provenly consistent and unique. IF you can take sour and hot, then this is the best. Very very casual, mostly bench seating in a small area. My Favorite order: 2 people SHARE 6 wings, fries, celery, and share a soda, comes out to about $10,and decently healthy(ifyou chew SLOWLY on the well cooked bones, even healthier!!) Awful Customer Service Experience 2pm - called in order for 630 pm delivery 330pm - received call that delivery would not be on time, but would be on the early side. 545pm- called and told me they were very busy, order would be delivered by 8pm. 815 pm - I called and they said my order was actually for pickup not delivery, and they refused to deliver it. (clearly lying, they had contacted me 2x previously that delivery was not going to be on time.) I will NEVER eat there again, nor will any of my roommates. Shameful how they treated a long time customer, from the poor service to the outright LYING. read more

I was there on Saturday before the game. It's become a Saturday tradition that when my wife and I come to town for a few games a year that we do our pregame meal at Mr. Spots.
