Stopped in for lunch. We visit quite a few times a year but first time since new menu was released. Nice additions and some changes to the options for those who cook on the stone. Service was standard, it's lunch time. A good place to eat at reasonable prices. Large draft menu and full bar. TV's all around, so if looking to catch a game it's a good spot.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars because Black Rock is always consistent and slightly above average, never lets me down. The service has been good every time I have gone and who doesn't like cooking on a hot stone? Lol The Monster French Onion Soup, Bubbling Shrimp On A Stone, Lobster Dip and Crabbed Stuffed Mushrooms got the job done.

I came here on a Friday before dinner time, and the place was practically empty, so I chose to sit at the bar. I had previously patronized a different Black Rock Grill and had the excellent volcanic shrimp tacos, and before I knew about the 755-degree cooking stones. This time, I ordered the "Super Duo," an 8oz fillet medallion paired with the signature bubbling shrimp. The entree came with a choice of two sides. I chose a loaded baked potato and a garden salad. The bartender/server, Benjamin, was very helpful in describing how to cook the steak and said the stone maintains its heat for 30-40 minutes. The medallions and shrimp were fantastic(maybe because I cooked them myself.) Large lot with free parking. Booth, full bar, and outdoor flat-top seating. It has a classy atmosphere with cloth napkins and steak knives. Great service. I would highly recommend it.

For what it was, it was fine, though they need help with organizing and planning for a Mother's Day brunch. Our reservation was early to avoid the big rush, which worked fine. We sat on the patio at a high top. It was a nice side area away from the Smokey dining room and near the setup buffet. It's brighter with a nice fireplace and TVs. We were greeting by our server (Cam?) and she was great for our whole visit. Walking up to the buffet, it was in a cramped area with an odd layout. It made it inefficient for people to get their food and move along. They had eggs, bacon and sausage, potatoes, French toast sticks, biscuits and gravy, Alfredo pasta, black rock chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, chicken nuggets, shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, ribs and salad. The desserts and fruit were in the dining room set up on the end of the bar. Brownies, apple crisp, fresh fruit, and GFS mini pastries. The food was good, except for the eggs. The eggs were powdered or seriously over cooked sitting on the hot bar, full of water. The drink specials, and shrimp options made up for it. We had the $6 steak add-on and I did order the comp Lobster bisque. All in all I would recommend as an affordable holiday brunch option but make sure you sit in the patio. The dining room was VERY smokey and thick with a cough inducting haze from all the grilling.

My husband and I tried this place at the recommendation of someone we know. It was a big airy restaurant. When we went, a Sunday night, it was not very busy and we were seated right away. Although it was a high top table that was not very comfortable if you are wearing a dress. :) We ordered the lobster dip and it was not good. It was so oily and greasy that it was not edible. The pita chips were good but the dip was tasteless and so oily that it wasn't worth it. We got the crab cakes which were good. I also enjoyed my dirty martini. We ordered a filet and cooked it on our "black rock." It was cool for the first few times but then started to feel like too much work. I did enjoy most of the dips though. I realized that I don't want to go out to eat and have to cook my own food. However, it was cool to experience it once. We will go back but when we do, we will just have them cook our food and no dip.

It's one of those fun experiences that you try once or twice, but it's so lacking compared to like kbbq from the meat quality and side dishes. The fall old fashioned was sooo overly sweet. I got the sirloin and ribs, and it was ok but the quality of the sirloin is meh

I decided to check out the bar/lounge at the nearby Sheraton and have to say, no wonder Marriott decided to buy these guys! They have great beers on tap and great food. I had the sliders and the Santorini salad, which has fried artichokes on it. The sliders were great. Straight up beef patties on a brioche-like bun. No filler, slightly thin, but still tastes great and beefy. Just what I wanted. The Santorini salad is about twice as big as I thought it would be for $9. I really liked the greens which included butter, red, iceberg and romaine lettuces. It also had goat cheese, olives and fried artichoke hearts. Yum, but I couldn't finish it. Since I'm at the Res Inn I just took the rest with me. I also had the Blond ales on tap. Their big deal is supposed to be the wine selection, but the beer selection is very good. Perfect for slider night! Full, refreshed and ready for he long plane rides home tomorrow.

The food and service here are really good, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Located in the lobby of the Sheraton, you almost miss it because it is so quiet. The ambiance is a little dark but not really dark - so perfect for relaxing. There is an unobtrusive TV above the bar for sports enthusiasts, but it is quiet to allow for conversation. The food ranges from quite good to really, really good. The bruschetta is distinct and fantastic. The mixture is served separately from the crustini, ensuring that the bread doesn't get soggy. And it has little pieces of fresh mozzarella in it to add even more freshness! Their fried mozzarella is also quite good, clearly freshly made. A friend had their salad and got blackened salad on it and really enjoyed it. They are happy to customize orders, whether that be food or drink. And they are happy to make drinks extra strong, so that's never a bad thing!

What I do love about Ann Arbor is that they balance out the drunk haunts of young adults with great restaurants and high end bars for the people looking for more than a pitcher of cheap beer. Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. Another nice surprise was that it wasn't some crazy price on the drink (I mean any crazier than other places and quite cheaper than around my home), especially for Ann Arbor. Walking away from the bar is a dance floor, and surrounding it are booths in a separate rooms and tables on a level up from the dance floor. There are also two hallways that lead to more booths and tables in different areas of the bar. As you can imagine this is a huge place. Definitely a bit confusing to figure out where to go. I wish I had been given some direction. There is seating against the wall throughout the winding halls. There is a dance floor and a couple bars. I loved the look which would definitely bring me back if I had also loved the Cocktails. The drink I ordered was way too sweet. I was underwhelmed. Most of their drinks looked on the sweeter side even the bartender mentioned. For my second I just ordered a glass of bubbly. It was also on the sweeter side but an improvement. For the prices, I really don't want to have to get up, find my way back to the bar to order my drink, then walk back to my seat avoiding the people and trying not to spill.

I stopped in with a group on a weeknight recently, and even on a cold December night, we found that there was a small crowd inside, with groups of all sizes grabbing drinks and catching up. The inside of the establishment is a mix of super high ceilings and surpisingly limited seats. There are a fair amount of tables and bar seating as well, but just less than you'd expect by looking at it from the outside! There are a ton of TVs inside, so I could imagine this would be a good place to watch sports -- while we were there, they were playing a Lord of the Rings movie and we heard from the bartender that they often have movies of such high caliber playing! Now onto the important part - the cocktails! We tried a couple of cocktails from their menu and found that though they tasted good, they felt somewhat lacking in alcohol... either the bartender did an amazing job with the mix, or they were light pours. I will say I got an old fashioned after that, and the old fashioned was excellent! Handmade, not pre-mixed, and both the flavor and presentation were excellent. Overall, I'd say we had a pretty solid experience - I'll be back to try out some more drinks for sure (both cocktails and coffee!)
