I love living close to Ann Arbor so I can check out all the great spots to eat. Sava has been on my list for quite some time. I was in the area and stopped in for a quick bite. The atmosphere is classy and chic. I sat at the bar and was exited to see they have a happy hour!!! Cocktails and appetizers were half off, but the Sava Smash Burger was calling my name. It was absolutely delicious. I will most certainly be back for dinner as they had just released new menu items. If you're in the area, this is a great spot to eat.

Had a wonderful brunch experience at Sava's. The ambiance was excellent, and the staff was all very polite and friendly. The huevos rancheros were excellent and a great portion size. Tried the Sava cakes as well, found them to be a bit grainy but the flavors were good

I stopped in for a quick eat during happy hour while staying in town. I sat at the bar, and the restaurant was buzzing with a mix of young and middle aged professionals. Under the bartenders suggestion, I went with the bang bang shrimp. It is something they are known for and I've had a similar dish at a chain restaurant, I was intrigued. This bang bang shrimp is served on a slice crispy rice, toast with spicy sweet sauce. I can say it was a joy to eat. I also selected the fried green beans. I really enjoyed these as they were not coated in a batter of anything, and were truly fried green beans with a garlic soy like marinade. I plan to return on my next visit to Ann Arbor!

Great food and service. I was here in December and where I was seated was cold given the door opening and closing repeatedly for guests entering/leaving. It'd be nice if there was some workaround for that. Will likely go back to try other menu items.

Sava's has been a mainstay in Ann Arbor since 2007. The interior is elegant, and notably has two levels. The cuisine is primarily American, but there are some Mediterranean options, as well. It's also worth mentioning that brunch takes place on Sundays. The fried dill pickles are a simple, but great way to start a meal. The half order of the mac & cheese is another great option. It's baked with 4 cheeses and topped with bread crumbs. As for entrees, Sava's burger is legit. The dijonaise and shallots on it are what stood out to me the most. Although they don't come with the burger, I recommend ordering the shoestring fries. I've also had the lamb shank. This is the most expensive dish on the menu, but it's worth it. The lentil ragout and veggies the lamb is served with compliment it so well. The dessert menu occasionally rotates. I've tried the raspberry pot de crème and the blueberry cheesecake. The bites of the pot de crème with raspberry were significantly better than the ones without. As for the cheesecake, its fluffy texture was the highlight. The combination of the beautiful ambiance and the high quality food make Sava's a desirable destination.

I came here with a few friends for a birthday. We had a couple rounds of drinks which were $12-15 each which I've learned is on the pricey side for Michigan, but they were decent. Service was extremely nice and the inside was modern and clean. I got the Sava's burger and it was really delicious, the fries were very thin and just alright. My friend got the capellini marlon and thought it was great yet heavy. My other friend got the lamb ragout and we weren't expecting a pasta, but the lamb was delicious. We bought a cheesecake for dessert for the bday girl which was very sweet but good. We all agreed that the food was decent, and I wasn't impressed with how they celebrated my friend's bday. No singing, free dessert, writing on the cake, which is fine but just left me wanting more. Overall: nice upscale place for dinner with decent food and drinks on the pricier side. Would go somewhere else to celebrate a special occasion.

We came for a graduation celebration dinner and our server was very kind and thoughtful since he knew we were celebrating! The food was very tasty and the pairings on all the entrees were great. We were very impressed. The cocktail also used local RoosRoast Coffee and it was delicious What a delicious treat of a dinner! The pistachio tiramisu was less tiramisu like and more pistachio cream layered cake but still yummy. Our server even added a little candle on it to celebrate the grad.

We came for brunch and it was a great meal! They have a good variety on the menu. I got the loaded hashbrowns which was really good. I tried the bang bang shrimp as well and loved it. At the end we all shared the French toast which was delicious. Definitely a solid brunch spot

This was our first time here. We ordered the loaded hash brown, sweet potato hash, and smoked salmon toast. The loaded has brown was not what we expected. The hash brown was buried in a bowl of cheese. After you eat the hash brown, what do you do with all of the cheese? We would not order this again. The sweet potato hash was ok, was expecting it to be a lot tastier. The smoked salmon toast was good! Great portion with plenty of salmon. The fried capers is a nice touch! The service was sub-par.

A Truly Memorable Experience at Sava's We brought our aunt here while she was visiting from out of town, and it was such a great choice. From start to finish, the service and food were top-tier. Our server Laura was phenomenal -- warm, attentive, and gave some of the best menu suggestions we've had in a while, she truly added to the experience. Appetizer: We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp -- WOW. That crispy sweet rice underneath paired with the shrimp and sauce? Absolute perfection. I could totally see this as a brunch dish with a shrimp & grits-style twist. Drinks: I had the Beldam of Barbados -- refreshing, light, and perfectly balanced. My husband had The Connoisseur -- a rich, cozy bourbon + coffee cocktail with no dairy, which we loved. So many coffee drinks default to cream, but this one let the bold flavors shine on their own. Our aunt had the Harvester -- citrusy, light, and really easy to enjoy. Entrées: My husband and I both had the Filet Mignon -- tender, juicy, and flavorful. The zip sauce really elevated it, and the grilled asparagus and smashed potatoes were a great pairing. Our aunt had the Capellini Marlon -- large shrimp and great flavor, but it did need more sauce (which they brought right away). She also wished a roll or ciabatta was offered alongside. Dessert: We ended with the Oreo Cheesecake -- and listen, I don't even usually eat dessert... but THIS? Incredible. The chocolate glaze and Oreo crust were on point. I'd love to see a version topped with whip and crumbled Oreos -- but even as-is, it was rich, creamy, and sooo satisfying. Now I love Oreos so for a Oreo lover - A MUST HAVE!!! Bonus Note: I had the Birria Tacos here last fall and I'm begging the kitchen -- please bring them back! Tip: This is one of the most popular restaurants in Ann Arbor, so reservations can be tough to snag -- book ahead. Totally worth it. Cocktails. Cravings. Curated vibes. A Carted & Curated review.

I LOVE Sava's. Their appetizers, entrees, and desserts are all so delicious and filling, it's a must-visit in Ann Arbor. The service is also friendly and the restaurant is quite spacious! Both indoor and outdoor seating are comfortable.

My friend made a reservation for us on Sunday afternoon and good thing - it was hopping in there! There are two levels and an outdoor area, with lots of fresh flowers and cool art on the walls. We didn't have to wait at all and ordered fairly quickly. Our server was amazing; she memorized our order exactly with no mistakes and the food came out hot and quick. We got the labneh and granola to share - the honey on there made this super delicious!! I ordered a breakfast plate with scrambled eggs (yummy but covered in chives - if I would have known that, I would have ordered them without), bacon (crisp and delicious), hash browns (sooo good; crunchy and well seasoned) and sourdough toast. I also had a strawberry lavender lemonade, which was tasty, but I didn't really taste any lavender. Definitely would go again.

    Is there outdoor heated dining?

Yes, but we currently have outdoor seating available for carry-out only.

Do they have a separate kids menu?

No, and actually the only "kids" that I have seen there are the college "kids". Great restaurant, but if your kids are young then this is probably not a great choice.

Do they take reservations for a group of 30 adults on Saturdays?

    lol. Sure.

Can you order a la carte Sunday mornings during the buffet hours (is the buffet choice required)?

You can order off the menu if you want to skip the brunch buffet.

Do they have frose'( frozen rose')?

I was there on Sunday and the Saturday before that and I didn't see it in the menu...

    Do they accept Discover cards?

    Yes

Do they still offer a brunch buffet on Sunday's?

    Yes

    Do they parking?

There's street parking infront and garage parking north west of Sava's on E Washington St (1min walk) right across First Baptist Church.

    How late is lunch served?

    3pm

    Is it kid friendly?

That depends. It is certainly not a stuffy, formal restaurant, but doesn't have a tremendous variety of simple, kid-friendly foods to my memory. That said, the Sunday brunch has enough breadth for probably all but the most picky kids, and it is… Read more

    Are they vegan friendly here?

Yup! On their menu they have a little symbol next to all of their vegan options.

What I do love about Ann Arbor is that they balance out the drunk haunts of young adults with great restaurants and high end bars for the people looking for more than a pitcher of cheap beer. Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. Another nice surprise was that it wasn't some crazy price on the drink (I mean any crazier than other places and quite cheaper than around my home), especially for Ann Arbor. Walking away from the bar is a dance floor, and surrounding it are booths in a separate rooms and tables on a level up from the dance floor. There are also two hallways that lead to more booths and tables in different areas of the bar. As you can imagine this is a huge place.
