$4.50 fried pickles. As provided to me without any eaten.

I ordered online for pick up. This is a food truck currently located in an auto repair/gas station parking lot. The location and placement has a strange vibe. The food truck is oddly facing away from the parking lot, so you have to walk around and step down off a curb. This would not be accessible to anyone differently abled or who uses a wheel chair. I tried the grilled cheese at a medium heat level. Also, fried pickles. For $4.50, I received 8 individual pickle slices. The photo I posted is without any eaten or removed. I did decide to test them out, so I didn't return them and ask for a refund. Although, in hind sight that would have been smarter. The pickles were not very crispy but were instead very oily with oil in the bottom of the paper tray. 0/5 for the pickles. If you are going to serve them like this, might as well remove them from the menu. The grilled cheese was very yummy. The toast was crispy, gooey cheese, and I ordered the medium level of spice for the chicken. I'm not sure if it was a sauce or what was on the chicken, but it didn't taste like Nashville hot chicken. Instead, it had more of a smokey sweet BBQ flavor. I'm not sure if that was the "coop sauce" that came on the sandwich or a part of the chicken seasoning. I tried to investigate, but couldn't find ingredients of the sauce anywhere on the website or nutritional facts. The chicken wasn't at all spicy. I would have considered it mild, not medium. If you like it spicy, start with the hot or higher level of spice. 4/5 for the grilled cheese.

I LOVE Nashville hot chicken. When I saw they had a food truck near my work, I had to try it. They're located in the shared parking lot of the Shell gas station and North Side Auto. I ordered the 2-piece tender basket. When I picked it up, I could smell the deliciousness through the bag! I did medium spice level to test it out before getting too wild. The flavor was out of this world. Not sure what spices/rub they use, but I'm hooked! The sauce was also delicious and I even dipped my fries in it. Lost one star because the chicken isn't as crispy as I expect for being "fried chicken", but the flavor compensated for that a lot.

This was a perfect Sunday afternoon stop. I'm from the south so I wasn't sure this chicken would live up to my expectations and it did!!! Chicken was flavorful and juicy, everything was fresh and hot, and the portions are huge. I love that you can customize your spice level. We got one mild and one hot to compare and they were both perfect. Hot is properly hot. Mild has some kick but not too much. The loaded fries are a must. So good. We will definitely be back. Only thing we needed more of was napkins because it's messy.

I have been driving past this place for many days and finally made it for lunch. Located right off Huron parkway parked at shell gas station across from Whole Foods. Their chicken sandwich is not cheap at $11.99, however it is restaurant quality. For comparison Hopcat Nashville chicken sandwich was $13.5 and, I thought this chicken sandwich was significantly better. Their take on the Nashville chicken sandwich is different from what I have had as theirs has much more spice, and I am talking spices not heat. You can order the heat level to your liking have 5 levels of heat to choose from. The spice they use in their chicken batter taste like old bay to me, I ordered medium and enjoyed the sandwich. It is served with cole slaw, pickles, and their coop sauce. Everything was great, but I could have used more coop sauce. They give you a packet of honey, I am glad they leave that up to you prefer my sandwich more savory than sweet. I tried to order online but would not allow me, had to order in person, which took about 12 minutes there a couple of spaces to park your car at shell as you wait. I really hope they improve their online ordering other than that a solid spot for Nashville chicken sandwich.

The food was great!! We got medium spice level and it was perfect! The chicken was fresh and juicy but not too crunchy. The sauce was a standard canes, Dave's hot kinda sauce but very good! The service was fast! The staff was kind, friendly, and patient. There was seating which is perfect for sitting down with family's! I highly recommend!!

She felt bad and apologized and we reacted fast so we only had to wait for a table to be disassembled and re-set up. The menu is relatively small but had plenty on it that we were interested in. We ultimately ordered the west bloomfield onion soup, the fried artichoke appetizer, a walleye dish and the duck. The entrees were tasty. But the soup and the fried artichoke with Peruvian teardrop peppers (my fave) were the highlights. Price wise it was on par with most nice restaurants in the area. And I'd definitely come back.

We truly enjoyed our dinner: in the appetizer, escargot, the pastry was fluffy, and the snails had just the right amount of butter, garlic, and herbs; the whitefish in beurre blanc was tender, delicate, and mouthwatering; Delmonico steak was juicy and perfectly grilled; the lamb chops were perfectly sautéed in port tarragon sauce. We finished our fantastic dinner with the skillfully prepared raspberry almond cake and chocolate Chambord mousse. To celebrate our happy event, the restaurant offered us the complementary drinks and 2 gift certificates toward our next visit. The joyful atmosphere was enhanced by a talented trio of jazz musicians who created a unique ambiance for our soirée. It was a marvelous experience. We cannot wait to come back. One giant raise for her, please, thanks. At least 10 extra dollars an hour. I got the uhhh. Brioche... something. Basically fancy French toast with caramelized apples on top with a really good whipped cream. Super good. Might start caramelizing apples for French toast all the time now. My friend got the duck slow cooked in oil, forgot what it's called. But I tried a piece and it was really good too. Oily, but that should be expected of something submerged and cooked in oil. First time trying duck, and I think it's more fatty than chicken, so that probably contributes as well. Still good though. The lemon financier was good too, reminded me of like a lemon pound cake if you aren't sure if you'd like it.

The restaurant is decorated very nicely with warm wood trim. The bar area looked stellar and very French-bistro like. I will sit there next time No so Highs Food was good, but just OK. Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced. So I will have to consider returning for a full meal. I would come back for a burger and beer at the bar.

Maybe there were better things on the menu? But I have to judge Cafe Zola on the food we had. To be honest, it was just ok. The steak was more rare than medium-rare, the spinach side wasn't seasoned, the calamari was too salty, the chicken could've been brined and more juicy. I'm not a hater. I'm just being honest about what I experienced. Still, our server Maddie was so bubbly and sweet. She was the best part of our evening.
