We just paid $75 at Lefty's Cheesesteaks for what might be the saddest excuse for cheesesteaks I've ever seen. We ordered 3 large cheesesteaks, 2 fries, and cheesesteak rolls, plus paid extra for add ons like cherry peppers on the side. Not only did they forget the extras entirely, but the "large" sandwiches were a joke. They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak. read more

The service is a bit sub standard. Staff was rude and matter of fact and the sub took way too long to get out. You can't argue with the results. The taste was excellent and the volume, huge. The bun was warm and fresh. I can't tolerate stale bread. The Beef steak sub with mushrooms and cheese (onions). Had a lot of beef. Almost too much. Maybe a mistake based on what I've been reading. I very much enjoyed the food here. I ordered a Lefty's Cheesesteak and Big Poppa Fries on Uber Eats. The cheesesteak was very tasty and had ample amounts of cheese. The Big Poppa Fries were alright. It had a very generous portion of steak but was a bit heavy on the Thousand Island dressing and I thought it could have been cheesier. read more

I've been meaning to try Lefty's for some time... always drove by it after going to Meijer. Finally, ordered to go for dinner. Ordered online the following: - two Cheesesteak Hoagie 8 inch with spicy cherry pepper on the side. - Reuben on Rye - Cheese Sticks - Onion Rings - Curly Fries The cheesesteak was good, the meat was mostly in the center of the bun and the bun was bit narrower then what I had expected. The cheese is on the bottom of the bun - in case you wanted to know lol. The Reuben was decent - could have used more sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Fries and the cheese stick was good... the only draw back was the onion rings... some were burnt and two large onion rings - if you opened it up - you'll find the dry batter inside.... Outside of that, decent experience. I'll have to try their wings and hamburger next time. read more

Can't read or dont care to read their own grill slip, order a cheese steak no onions add mushrooms, receive cheese steak WITH onions and cherry peppers...... no mushrooms. grill slip attached with mushrooms no onions clearly printed on it. and they want tips and $15/hr minimum wage??!! My friend and I went here after the football game and we are glad we did! Just got a couple of cheesesteaks and fries and we were not disappointed. Bread was soft, sandwich was hot, meaty, and flavorful. Fries were good, but I would try other options next time, like the curly fries. Maybe I would add lettuce, tomato and mayo to my next sandwich? Ok this is THE BEST CHEESE STEAK in the world they melt the cheese which the onions and they make the steak sooooo good. And the place is so chill on the walls the have photos of left handed people but other than that it reminds me of a normal fast casual place to eat. The service is good it's quick and simple it's really nice to door dash from cause it stays together and also u might be drawn away by the cheesesteak from the bad smell and taste but if you add ketchup it tastes like heaven so just eat it ik some of these reviews are bad cause they didn't have ketchup on it. Just had my last Lefty's. As they reach 5 Guys level of pricing, there just isn't any value left here. The sandwiches are mostly bread and the fries are worse than what you find in the freezer at the grocery store. It would be adequate at maybe $12. The subs are ok. I ordered a Winfrey. I was not wowed. The curly fries were good. The reason I won't be back is because they priced me out. Way too expensive for what you get. There are a lot of photos of celebrities on the wall. At first, I thought they all might be Philly natives. This is a place with an average atmosphere. Mostly a take-out restaurant. The crew were nice. I got two foot long cheese, ribeye Philly sandwiches. For the size of the sandwich and considering its ribeye, I thought the price was fair. Half a sandwich is enough for a person. The taste, well average. We took our leftovers home and nobody would eat them. Even my 14 year old son who I call the garbage disposal would not finish them off. So I had them for dinner so nothing would go to waste. The cheese was just a greasy texture and the bread had to be the worst of it; no flavor at all and an airy spongy yet papery texture.. Service is prompt and restaurant clean. Original Philly cheesesteak and an order of Chili fries. Portions are well-sized and suitable for lunch. Chili fries are tasty. Chili isn't too runny. No added toppings such as diced onion. Do not recommend re-heating them. The cheesesteak sand which is tasty as well. They do a nice job here. The meat wasn't salty; it's flavorful and cooked well. Cheesesteaks are pretty good not as good as Gabriels in Ypsilanti but pretty good. I went to the South Lyon store. ordered cheese steak with mushrooms . couldn't tell it had mushrooms cause you're a chopped so fine. Ordered a fry and they were almost raw. Nothing like the picture that they show on their advertising. These were white and soft. I told my husband it was as good and messy as the ones in Philly. Super nice people. We are not from Michigan and was disappointed when we could not social distance and dine in. This was a great alternative and delicious. My husband had the Big Poppa (because he loves thousand island dressing) and I had the South Paw (minus the fire Cheetos) We enjoyed them both very much.
