Homestyle fried chicken sandwich

This place has great food at a good price. They aren't afraid to experiment with flavors and combinations. They make it fun to try new things. The food is always cooked to order, and the staff is always friendly. Blazin Burgerz quickly became a family favorite.

I was really craving a good burger, so of course I searched Yelp and found Blazing Burgers in Ypsilanti. The restaurant is small with a few tables but I'm sure most their business comes from carry out. I ordered the Roadhouse burger and hubby ordered the Blazin' Burger. I loved the uniqueness of mine with the fried pickles, fried onions, and turkey bacon. Definitely great flavor but I felt left undone because the hamburger patties were so small. I had such a craving for a burger but was left wanting more! It's not that I could have eaten two, especially at the price, but just a little more meat would have done it. For our side we had fries and they were right alright - I suggest trying a different side like seasoned fries or sweet potato fries. The other thing that was disappointing was that they were out of shakes! Hubby rarely agrees to sweets so I was excited...only to be left undone again. I'm not saying this isn't a place to try, but with so many others we will keep trying. Good luck to Blazin!

Super tasty, highly highly highly recommend the garbage fries and jalapeño poppers as sides!!

The food was absolutely delicious! The jalapeño poppers and garbage fries were outstanding, and they paired perfectly with my burger!

Warning Flavor explosion!!!!! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally ordered it through Grub-hub. Best decision I made today! I ordered the chicken garbage fries and they were superb. They are loaded with onions, jalapeños, cheese, chicken, and peppers.. it's a must try.

Giving 5 stars because they managed to completely satisfy a family of five with very different likes and dislikes. Our dinner included burgers for most, (one with nothing but cheese), a hot dog, macaroni shells and cheese, seasoned fries, regular fries, homemade lemonade and soft drinks. This place is set up like a fast food restaurant with a walk-up order counter and grab your own drink and seat, but the food is worthy of more. Since burgerz is in the name, let's start there. I wasn't brave enough to try the Blazin' Burger with its spicy pepper jack and jalapenos. But, I'm a girl from the South that loves her some onion rings and fried dill pickles, so I opted for the Roadhouse Burger which featured both along with cheddar, bacon and a slightly sweet BBQ sauce and the regular trimmings of lettuce and tomato. It was great, full of flavor, moist, perfectly cooked and seasoned and stacked so high with its goodies that I almost couldn't get my mouth around it! The fries, both regular and seasoned were hot, crisp, very tasty and surprisingly light despite their slightly thicker cut than your standard burger joint fry. The Plain Jane hotdog was also a hit with one of our young eaters. She added "that yellow stuff" (mustard) and wanted us to order her a second when she was done. Staff was very friendly and helpful and quickly accommodated us with extra mayo, "that yellow stuff" and lots of extra napkins! Our food arrived really fast. I also ordered a burger to go for the guy left behind at the house and it traveled well and was just as tasty at home as in the restaurant. Excellent new find in an area of town not everyone gets around to. Locals should make the effort. Easy on and off I94 too. Travellers looking for a quick bite should stop by. There's no drive-thru, but you can call ahead and your order will be waiting.

Great burger might be my favorite burger place in metro Detroit. Great quality ingredients, they didn't overcook the patty, seasoned really well and the beef was high quality.

Onion ring in burger. Crispy & legit.

Great food. Highly recommend the Roadhouse burger. Crispy onion ring and fried pickles set it off. Funny, funky interior. Flat top burgers & loads of fries per order. Order 1 & share. Def recommend. ESP for the price.

They have great burgers and fries! They even have the option to make any burger vegetarian which I really like. Every time I've gone, the staff has been super friendly too. It's very filling also. Good prices

Mac n cheese squeeze burger

We ordered the roadhouse and the Mac n cheese squeeze along with seasoned fries. Pros: lots of options to choose from (toppings, bun choices, patty choices, sauces). Quick service, large portion of fries. Cons: burger patty didn't have much flavor and was cooked "well done". Fries seemed like they had been sitting for a bit. To be fair we got our food to go and took it to a park a little ways down the road. Not the worst burger I've ever had but not the best.

We were escorted to our table by our lovely host, and when we arrived at our table in the back of the restaurant, there was a cute "happy birthday" table card waiting for us. This was incredibly thoughtful and a nice touch for our celebration dinner. Also, I love how this restaurant is decorated - the art work, the furniture, and plants - all come together to create a welcoming, cozy, warm atmosphere for any dining experience. I also love how the menu continuously rotates and highlights fresh produce from local suppliers. We both ordered a different dish and shared, plus we had some leftovers, so the portions are very generous. We also tried some of the oysters with vinaigrette they were fresh and delicious. To conclude our dinner, we were gifted with a DELIGHTFUL banana pudding with a scoop of ice cream and a candle to make a wish (though our wish for a wonderful meal and dining experience was throughly satisfied already ) Thanks again for a great time bellflower!

According to our server, it wasn't supposed to be spicy, but for someone like me who doesn't care for spicy food, it was definitely hotter than expected! It was also served piping hot, so I had to wait quite a while before I could eat it. By the time my guest finished their meal, I had only managed to eat about a quarter of my chowder, so I took the rest home. Rather than letting it go to waste, I rearranged it with a little yogurt to mellow out the spice. That did the trick! It turned into a creamy, milder chowder that suited my taste much better, and I really enjoyed it. If you enjoy a spicy gumbo-style seafood soup with plenty of rich seafood flavor, you'll probably love this one. But if you're sensitive to spice like I am, I'd recommend choosing something else or asking about the spice level before ordering! Sometimes a little kitchen creativity can turn a dish into something you truly enjoy. Our conversation was so much fun that I completely forgot to take photos!

The food took some time coming out, my wife enjoyed all three of her tacos. My shrimp taco was good and the corn tortilla was good not overly dry. Two salsas come to the table both were very good. The Gordita was solid liked the lettuce and cheese along with the meat. The thicker corn tortilla goes a longer to fill you up than a taco. Overall a good place, did not blow me away , but solid.

I also wasn't sure if I should sit to order my food or order at the counter. Eventually the employee handed me a menu so I sat at a table. There were other tables with native people at them so I figured the food must be good. I ordered a combo meal from the menu written in Spanish. It had two tacos, a tamale, and rice and beans. A short time later I was told they didn't have tamales. I was bummed about that so I ordered three tacos with a side of rice and beans. I was surprised at how long the food took to come out. And the portion of rice and beans was tiny, especially for $4. Of the tacos, the beef was a little tough, but the chicken and pork were good. The rice and beans were both tasty. Just not enough. Overall for over $14, I didn't think the food or experience was worth it. Maybe the tamales are the star of the show.

We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.
