Very solid list of beers, sours, fruited seltzers and more. I visited Homes twice in the span of a few days in Ann Arbor and was able to sample almost everything off the tap list as well as some food items. Everything was great. I'd say they excel at IPAs but also the Smooj is a must try as it is the most unique fruited sour I've ever had (just don't look at the nutrition facts on the can!). Food-wise, they do a sort of Asian fusion style. One night I had the chicken sandwich which was delicious and came with a side salad that was dressed up with some tasty dressing. I also ordered the bulgogi fries, which are probably better for a group of people as it is a HUGE plate. My next visit I had a shrimp poke bowl that was decent, but not as good as the chicken sandwich (duh). This is probably the best brewery in Ann Arbor and I'd venture that it is top 10 in the state of Michigan, which makes it a must visit for anyone in town. Thanks Homes!

We came here to meet up with some friends before a game and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and of course the drinks! I don't really have much else to say except it was chill!

What a wonderful indoor/outdoor spot in Ann Arbor. Went here after work to check out their flights and this place was hopp'in! Our bartender was chatty and described all the different types of ales they have and he was so insightful! There's definitely plenty options to choose from that are unique, including food options! Picnic tables line outside and the seating dynamic couldn't be better. This place is cozy and wonderful for a date or with a group of friends or family! Parking was a bit trickier and we had to walk a little bit to get here but it was well worth it!

Amazing drinks and food. Can't wait to come back to try the beef bulgogi burrito. Plus the old-fashioneds on draft is a smart choice. Also recommend the boozy hot cider with whiskey

Do yourself a favor and come here. Where it is for a great beer, their unique Smooj drinks, or the amazing food - it's a win! It's my first stop when I come into town, don't tell my family and friends. The space is chill, clean but also has a lot of character. On warm days, the patio has great seating. When there's a chill, the fire pits help to warm it up. There's always the indoor and bar seating too. If you need a recommendation, treat yourself to the bulgogi fries. Not sure that you'll want to share them :) I also love to do a flight of beers, even if I don't get the full 6.

Inside and bar. Tons of tvs.

A bit out of the way, but a welcome break from campus craziness. Fun variety of beers, mixed drinks and good. Bulgogi fries are a can't miss. Come here for football Saturdays if you aren't going to the stadium. Simply scan the QR to order drinks and food.

Finally made my first trip to Homes. I've been drinking their beers for a while, this was the first time visiting in person and enjoying their food as well. The menu is a great Korean based concept. Everything was delicious We ordered Bulgogi fires, wings, Arincini and a burrito. Everything was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

You HAVE to go to Homes if you like good beer, exciting new drinks, excellent food, and fun vibes. I go here every time I'm in Ann Arbor, and it's always really good. I recommend the salmon poke bowl and any of the topped fries!

I enjoy each and every visit to the brewery and brewpub! Yes, the beers are delicious. Yes, they have other options to drink. Yes, the place is spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and dining options. But what makes this brewery stand out over others for me is the food! Love the creative Asian fusion twists they offer. My absolute favorite thing used to be the Khao Soi (no longer on the menu) but really you can't really go wrong with anything. Love the wings and fries if I'm feeling like indulging, but also love that they have lighter options as well, another unique quality for brewpub food! On-site parking lot is a little small but there is plenty of parking in the area surrounding.

So delicious! The burrito - are you kidding me. Very tasty 10/10 recommend. Low maintenance place with delicious foods and great beer

Out of town visiting on a Hallmark holiday and this was the place to go for a relaxed dinner out. Good beer, chill environment, and good space to enjoy a winter evening. We tried their bimbap bowls for dinner. Quite Americanized, but it was a clean and good bowl filled with all the essentials. Egg rolls were decent but the filling kept falling out when trying to dip into the sauce. Overall good pick for us. Nice place for a large group gathering. Good seating both for private groups and communal if you're feeling particularly social. Of course also bar seating as well. It's always nice to enjoy local beers while traveling to a new town.

Ask the Community - Homes Brewery

    Is the brewery kid friendly?

Absolutely as long as I oh can keep them entertained

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Though I don't have a dog myself, I've seen a number of them out there over the years. Thus I'd say it is.

Is there a good hotel to stay at nearby?

Yes. Weber's Inn is right around the corner. It's a first rate boutique hotel.

    Does HOMES serve wine?

Yes! Both a white wine and a red wine, as well as a cider. Not a huge selection but enough to not deter someone from wanting to come because they don't drink beer.

What is the meaning or significance of their logo?

The five negative spaces represent the Great Lakes, everything else about it is just meant to be a cool design!

We did, and shortly heard a voice inviting us to come into the adjacent tasting room (open only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). On premises, you're limited to tastes only--four ounce sample pours, drawn from open cans, are available. Beer to go comes in cans, which you can purchase singly, or in six packs with whatever selections you like. Six pack purchases earn a 15% discount, which is nice since the beer is a bit on the expensive side (see menu pics below). Our favorites were the Marzen and the rye barrel imperial stout (the one that really knocked it out of the park!). The brown ale was excellent too. The man behind the bar was very pleasant to talk to and knowledgeable about beer generally. He told us their beers are available at about 20 local stores, as well as on tap in some bars. I hope to see some of those in the future, or perhaps some extended hours for the tasting room.

This is a super cute spot that specializes in smoked meat and sausages... yes please. We ordered at the counter and the employees were very friendly and helpful with great suggestions. I got the Michigan asparagus, onion, and cheddar brat, and Nate got the currywurst. We also got a cup of chili to share. We got a buzzer for our order and then sat down in the heated outdoor space. They have a lot of outdoor seating and some firepits, so I really want to come back in the fall or summer. Our food was done quickly and we had fun picking stuff from the toppings bar. They had chopped onions, jalapenos, banana peppers, sauerkraut etc. and lots of sauces. I LOVED the brat. It was easy to bite and not super snappy which I didn't mind. The bun was perfectly toasted and the flavor combination was delicious. Kind of like a broccoli cheddar vibe. I had some of the currywurst which was also delicious! The chili was packed with brisket and pulled pork, and was really tasty. There is a bar so you can enjoy a beer with your sausage, but we just grabbed some cold drinks from the cooler. They even have ice cream and floats!! There are lots of great items for sale as well, including lots of pickled things, frozen pierogi, meat sticks and jerky, and they even have Trenary Toast (#iykyk). I am already planning my next visit to try more brats and the brisket sandwich. This is such a great concept and I really wish we had a place like this in Grand Rapids.

We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.
