We have tried legit Korean fried chicken in Korea and tried BB.Q in California. The one here is pretty good. Of course nothing can compare to Korea. From the moment we sat down, the waitress checked if we had any food allergies (their menus also have a note for people with allergies). She also let us know that it would take 25-30min for the food to come out (which is average for a korean fried chicken place). We ordered the Half & Half Whole Chicken (half golden original and half secret sauce). They have kpop music videos playing all over the screens so it creates a legit Korean restaurant environment. The golden original was good and had a good crispiness to it. It stayed hotter longer when it was brought out. The secret sauce was my preferred flavor. I liked that it was sweet tasting and the texture was crunchy too. Both chicken platters came with radish and it had good flavor and cut up to a good bite size. The owners and waiters checked on us a lot.

My favorite is the cheesling wings - they make it better than any of other bb.q restaurants. Friendly staff, plenty of seating but wouldn't allow anyone to sit in the booths, supposedly for a reservation but no one showed up after a couple hours. As patrons came in the servers kept telling them sit anywhere and if they chose the booths, the servers quickly and politely told them to sit elsewhere. Whatever, the wings were still good.

This was my family's first time trying a Korean BBQ chicken place. We didn't quite know how it worked, but the waitstaff here was super helpful. We tried the honey garlic bone-in chicken wings. They took a bit to prepare but came out quite hot, crispy and HUGE. We ordered 16 wings for three people and had leftovers because the wings are easily double the size of wings you'd get anywhere else. The staff provided gloves and a bucket for the bones and both were very helpful. The wings were flavorful, crispy and delicious and I think we've found a new favorite place in Ann Arbor. Thanks bb.q Chicken for a great experience!

Their food is great. One thing I didn't like though was how thick the rice cakes were for the Rose tteokbokki, I was used to eating at the Troy location and they usually use a less larger rice cake. Service can take a while here but overall still good quality chicken.

Ok so here we go!! The food was good , the only complaint my partner had was the skin was "slimy " a bit so keep in mind some other texture might be under the crispy crunch . The options of the menu were very limited ... which I don't personally find favor in , u only can choose 1 no sauce on the side no half and half just 1 Prices were ok- could be a bit better in my eyes especially for the limited options and quality of food (Sorry I didn't include pictures of food)

It seems like Ann Arbor is being bombarded with Korean Fried Chicken joints, which is blessing! Placed online order for Spicy Original wings and Secret Sauce wings - all 8 pcs for pickup. bb.q is on top of my list when it comes to Korean fried chicken joints. The reason is their spicy original wings, my favorite and must get whenever I order from bb.q chicken, even if I get other items! The other sauce I get is the secret sauce, love that sweet and tangy flavor. I also only get wings, because they are 1) easier to eat and 2) the sauce to meat ratio is a lot better. I would recommend you order online and do pickup. They do offer dining option, but it was busy when I stopped in to pick up my order. They have tables to the left and right side of the entrance and bar seating area at the back of the store. The app told me the order would be ready at 6:15pm, got there little early, but the order didn't come out until 6:25pm. If you order using their site, add extra 10 minutes before you go to pick up the order.

I came ravenous after a long workout . I'm not usually a fan of fried food, but I'm Glad I tried this pace! The inside is neat and clean. I chose to dine in and the service was wonderful. There were so many options of fried chicken and many Korean variations. I got the golden delight, which is their basic. I ordered the ddeok-bokki as well. They were both fab! The chicken was perfect. Hot and crispy. The rice cakes were the rose version which was creamy with the perfect amount of spices. I particularly loved that the chicken was accompanied by pickled radishes to balance the richness. The only thing I think would improve the experience is to have more vegetables to balance the heat and richness of the other options. I will definitely return to try the other flavors and exotic drink options.

I'm SO glad I finally could try this place! It had been on my list for awhile and I finally went. We were warmly greeted and told to sit wherever we would like. We were brought menus and water for the table. The waitress was quick to point out the best options for non-spicy chicken since we had a young child with us. That was incredibly thoughtful. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food. The portions are great for the price. This is not popcorn chicken - it is basically full chicken thigh pieces. The flavoring and crispiness were perfect. The kimchi rice bowl is quite spicy but delicious. K-Pop concert footage and music videos were playing on all of the screens. The waitress and another staff member checked in on us a few times to make sure we were doing well. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. Parking can be a little crowded as there are two other busy businesses sharing the same space. Will return.

So glad this is finally open!! I live nearby and I've been excited as soon as I saw their coming soon storefront. I've had bb.q chicken in California before and it was so delicious so I knew I had to come check it out for their soft opening. It was definitely busy but we were seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered the Mala Ddeok-Bokki, a medium order (16 pc) of the secret sauce boneless wings and an order of French fries. There definitely was a bit of a wait to get out food and I think there may~ have been an issue with our order having gotten input correctly in their system. But of course they just opened, were backed up with orders and super busy so I'm sure they'll get all the kinks sorted out in time. The staff was super kind and friendly despite how busy it was. The food was so good! The chicken was amazingly crispy and super tender and juicy! I remember their Secret Sauce having a tad more heat to it but ours was definitely more on the sweet side. Will definitely order more spicy ones next time. The mala Ddeok-Bokki definitely had all the heat we were hoping for. Perfect level of spice - my partner was even sweating a little. The French fries were also really good and we made use of the extra sauce to dip them in! All in all a terrific meal. Definitely look forward to come back and try more sauces/flavors!

Galbi wings and Caribbean rice bowl.
    Tom S.

This has become our new go to spot. We havent had anything we didnt like here, our current favorites are spicy gal-bi wings and gangnam style wings, Also really like the Caribbean rice bowl. Online ordering always just works the way it should and its always ready when it should be "only the first month or so was this not the case" Staff is friendly and efficient and the Maple road location is always busy, always a good sign. We tried to mix it up and get our fried chicken fix once again at Popeyes on Baker rd last night and were once again reminded why this is always a bad idea.

    Non spicy Kalbi wings
    Christopher F.

Ann Arbor is now really becoming saturated with Korean wings and that is not a problem for me. These wings are fried to perfection definitely double fried and juicy on the inside crispy on the outside. Korean wings usually take some time, I would recommend ordering in the app first even if sitting inside to eat. 8 wings were $15.99 comes with one small side we choose the radish. What I like about this place is they have more sauce options than most Korean wings places I have been to. Our favorite sauce that we have tried was the gochujang wings not crazy spicy but nice kick with great flavor. The kalbi was good reminded me more of traditional American bbq, did not remind me of eating grilled Kalbi but the sauce was ok. The cheesling fries were good, but I did prefer Noori's magic fries. The drinks were good and refreshing will definitely do take out here again nice convenient location close to 94 and good parking options.

The selection is not extensive but the basics are here including BBQ. Side dishes are decent, Kimchi, which is fundamental to any Korean meal and varies by region, is always included and people have strong opinions about. Theirs is OK but not top notch. Other side dishes are decent. Whatever we ordered, BBQ, Yuk Gae Jang, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (Rice. We used to go almost exclusively to Seoul Garden near the mall off Boardwalk but after ownership change stopped as the taste changed significantly and not for the better. Its nice to have The Seoul is an option. They have beer and soju (Ubiquitous Korean liquor in Korea that along with Kimchi is many Koreans blood) Environment of the restaurant is modern but still a bit cozy. Overall, definitely worth a try. While we are at it, I have spent allot of time in Japan on business (some vacationing too) and I know it's trendy to go there now especially with the exchange rate, and by all means go, allot to see and experience (and eat!) there. But don't overlook Korea. The two countries have a torrid history and don't want to admit they are similar in many ways....but they are and Korea is loaded with great places to go and food to eat. Per my friend's request, the order did not come with the Shishito Peppers or Garlic Chives, but it also didn't have the potatoes. After asking for the potatoes, our server went back and we could hear her yelling at the kitchen staff. Minutes later she came out with a bowl of 3 potatoes, not mashed and not hot. My roll was great and I'd definitely order again if I come back, but I'm honestly not too inclined to after this experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was freezing. It was a cold day but it was way colder inside than it should've been. We ended up keeping our coats on for most of dinner. I really do want to like it here because the vibe seemed very modern and clean, however the service, food, and level of professionalism fell short of my expectations.

Definitely my go-to entree. Thai-Style Calamari (5/5): One of THE main reasons I love Pacific Rim so much. This is the best calamari appetizer I've had. Lightly breaded and fresh. The sweet chili sauce is perfect. Thai Peanut Noodles (4/5): The noodles had great texture and the Thai peanut sauce was delicious. The tofu wasn't really crispy and I personally would've loved the option to add some meat. Lamb Dumpling (4/5): Lots of meat in the filling and didn't taste gamy at all. Limited time special. Shrimp Shumai (4/5): Really enjoyed the wonton wrapper. Shrimp flavor came through nicely. Limited time special. House Salad (4/5): Light and fresh. The soy based dressing was sweet, slightly acidic, and not at all overpowering. Warm Chocolate Cake (4/5): Delicious cake with a warm, gooey inside. I personally don't like coconut or chocolate and fruit desserts, but I still enjoyed this a lot. Creme Brulee Tasting (4/5) : Green tea, pumpkin spice, and ginger creme brulees. Loved getting to try a little bit of each flavor (green tea was my favorite). Spiced Caramel Pear (3/5): Not my favorite since I don't generally like cooked fruit. The mascarpone cream and shortbread were good though. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)
