Still one of our favorite BBQ places in our area. We visit when we can, which is typically before a movie next door. The potato skins are choice but surprisingly the smoke chicken salad is amazing. Candied bacon with the smoked chicken is an incredible pairing. I don't go for the big meals but rather the BLT, or the Texas rueben are just the right size. I came here thinking this was similar to the Bone Heads in Willis but it's completely different and not nearly as good. Unfortunately, ranch came out moldy and the lettuce on my sandwich had gone bad. The mozzarella sticks are worth a try, though! I'm glad I tried it, but I don't need to go back. read more

This has become one of my favorite BBQ places!! SO many menu options!!! They are always friendly when I arrive and I've even had staff suggest some cool menu items. I am picky about the meat I eat bcuz of grizzle and fat chunks lol! I have never had a problem here at all and the flavors are out of this world. The food was good but everything that we ordered was missing something. For example, we had to ask for cheese for our salads and I ordered corn bread with my dinner and didn't get that until after we got the check cause she forgot about it. The lady was nice, but we were the only people in the place and were missing things and almost never saw her. Not to mention there were spider webs next to our seats. I've been to both Bone Heads locations and this one is totally different as far as atmosphere. This location is updated and very modern yet casual. Whereas the Willis location is a little outdated and very homey like. I came here for lunch and they were very busy with dine-in and carry out. There was one waitress for the whole place and she was busting butt! I was seriously impressed with her ability to balance everything going on. There isn't a lot of seating here so I could see there being a wait time at busy periods. I ordered the pulled pork dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. The pulled pork was really good - tender and flavorful. I enjoyed adding their bbq sauces on it. The potatoes and beans were both just all right. I wouldn't order those again. I did really enjoy the corn muffin though and was awfully tempted to order more. Of the two locations, Willis is closer so I would go there first. I really enjoy their meats so I will be back. Just gotta find some sides I really enjoy. read more

I had been to the Willis location before and was glad there's a closer spot. I went with a friend for lunch and had the pulled pork sandwich lunch. It came with coleslaw which personally didn't agree with me but sweet potato fries can be substituted for an extra charge. I will try those next visit. My friend had the dinner and she chose baked beans and cornbread as her sides. It looked great also. The waitress was friendly and the seating area is fun and casual. I like the Coke freestyle machine also. read more

Bone Heads, thank you! I needed a side dish for 50 people and with only a couple hours notice Bone Heads in Saline came through with a massive tray of mac and cheese. I wouldn't expect them to always be able to save the day at a moment's notice but on this day, they came through like rock stars. Their mac exceeded expectations, cheesy, warm and creamy, delicious with curly noodles and plenty to go around. Lots of folks asking where it came from, it was the perfect side and very much appreciated by all. Their BBQ is also high on my list but for this review, it was all about the macNcheese and the stellar service from the Saturday crew. Thank you Bone Heads! read more

The food was great and the only server was great. I do take exception to the fact there was one cook and one waitress and restaurant was packed. It took over an hour for the two people to wait on my table and serve our food. The owner needs to secure more folks to work before their customers go somewhere else. read more

normally i don't like leaving negative reviews but this place (specifically this location) was NOT good at ALL. i had the mac & cheese meal with brisket and a side cup of chili. the chili was lukewarm at best, with what felt like old stale shredded cheese on top. it tasted like a worse version of Wendy's (yes, the fast food) chili. absolutely killed the vibe from my first bite alone. but the mac & cheese + brisket was not great either. the brisket itself is pretty good but the portion size felt like i had maybe 4-5 bites worth... and the mac & cheese felt more like mac & cheese soup... the cheese was soupy and and not flavorful at all.. just overall extremely disappointing. oh and the side of toast that came with it was dry and burnt... and wasn't even garlic seasoned or anything. service was also incredibly slow and it felt like none of the actual employees even wanted to be there.. just a very pathetic atmosphere. they are narrowly avoiding a worse rating from me just for the sake of my pity, but i would definitely avoid coming here again. do yourself a favor and opt for a better bbq place where you know the food and environment will actually be worthwhile. read more

Great new BBQ joint in Saline but not new to the area. We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night - they have dine in or carry out. We dined in. The place was clean and nice. Great classic rock music in the background. I chose the BBQ combo and my hubby the ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and juicy with a nice Smokey flavor. My sampler - yum. The smoke was present in all. The chicken juicy, all the rest very flavorful. Our waitress was so nice. We'll be back! read more

Best bbq in Ann Arbor so far . Brisket was dangerously ono (gd) moist rich tender great brisket. Smoked prime rib sandwich on Texas toast . Sides were really good and I'm glad they had a variety of options for sides Mac n cheese Fries Corn bread Collard greens Cole slaw I'll try others next time fo sho... Appetizers we only had the Brussels this time and they were worth taking up room in our stomachs before the main course . Again , we will look forward to trying more of the appetizers next time. BBQ chicken had great taste but was a bit too moist probably better as a pulled chicken which is offered on the menu Not many bbq joints have the menu options of appetizers/entrees/and sides like this place. This place definitely doesn't have a pit master working there. I ordered the combo, and they managed to overcook everything! The service and ambience was average. Do yourself a favor and purchase any precooked bbq from the frozen food section of Kroger's, you will have a better meal. read more

Portions are not worth the price. My 1/2 rack was 5 small little ribs with barely any meat. What was there was tender & fell apart. Everything comes in disposable containers w/plastic silverware. Collard greens were some of the best I've had in awhile. Others ordered sandwiches which were small for the price. They didn't even try to make up for the lack of sandwich sizes by over flowing the empty space with French fries. There was barely a handful on everyone's plates. Food was delicious but almost all of my brisket was just fat (the BBQ sauce covered that fact but i didnt complain because i had plenty of other food to eat). I shared a sampler combo with my husband and we were pleased with the portion, the taste and the price. Friendly staff. Also food came out quickly. Would definitely return. read more

I have eaten in the restaurant several times and have gotten takeout as well. This place is average. There's really nothing special about the menu or the experience. Sometimes the food is subpar... today the ribs were dry and they gave us very little fries. The chicken was over cooked.
