Bread was kind of soggy and cheetos on top were a bit stale. Meat wasn't that flavorful. The service was fast.

Quality has gone down. :( It hasn't been as good lately. Pretty sloppily thrown together.

I ordered 2 set of egg rolls and by the time I got home I realized it wasn't fully cooked( probably because it was about to close and they wanted to go home. So I had planned on calling the next day but it slipped my mind so I called 2 days later and someone there told me to either come back or they could refund me and I said I'll just come in tomorrow which is today and the guy I spoke to was not there and the people working and it was 3 at the counter literally arguing with me about when I called and when I came in when I was told to come in when ever! But it was the audacity of this man trying to intimidate me. And they lady saying you should of called immediately as if they were open smh Sam is the only professional there.

So those who read my reviews know I don't really eat meat, that being said I decided to try this place before I do my fast. I wanted to go out with a bang, so why not try a cheesesteak hoagie and Mac and cheese egg rolls, sounds delicious right!! I ordered the new hoagie with the liquid cheese and hot Cheetos on top (southpaw)(don't judge). My mom ordered corned beef egg rolls, Fries and a cheesesteak hoagie as well. First, this place is pretty pricey for the quality of food they serve. The Mac and cheese egg rolls were awful, they were greasy and flavorless. My hoagie was just okay, decent flavor and was edible however the cheese on top just wasn't good and had a wonky almost moldy smell. My mom said her egg rolls were greasy band flavorless as well and her French fries were fried in old grease and super over cooked. Overall, I'd be okay never visiting this restaurant for the rest of my life. Oh and I can't forget.. after watching someone walk out the bathroom I asked the cashier if I could use it and she told me no.. wow!

Food was not pleasant.... I ordered the Southpaw hoagie with fries... and the hot Cheetos where STALE!!!! And disgusting!!!!!!! The curly fries they gave me I bit into a rotten curly fry, I could taste the rotten brown stuff that is usually on rotten potatoes it smelled like a bag full of rotten potatoes I am pregnant and was completely dissatisfied with them never eating from there again! Also extremely overpriced for the food not to be good.

The first thing I noticed about Lefty's was that they don't seem to have air conditioning. The second was that they were crowded. Good for them! I hope business stays good. The staff was super friendly and kind. I was impressed by how quickly they got our freshly made food out. We ordered a cheesesteak with spicy peppers (extra $0.25), a Reuben, curly fries, and onion rings to go. Of the two sandwiches, I preferred the Reuben. Reuben was good, stuffed full of corned beef, but the Russian dressing was a little on the mild side for my taste. The cheesesteak leans traditional (meat chopped small with just onions and cheese), and I thought it could have used more seasonings (or bell peppers, so shoot me). The onion rings were p e r f e c t. Arby's has better curly fries. Overall, I liked my meal but didn't love it. I probably won't be back any time soon. The prices are just too high for okay sandwiches when A2 has so many alternatives.

Ruined my lunch because YHEY decided I MUST have cheese. Greasy spoon idiots.

idiots!!! this isn't the first time you have put cheese on my gd hoagie but this is the last time. i am done with you and going to tell everyone both online and off that you dont listen and your cooks clearly cant read.

The only difference between now and then, as the cheese steaks were much bigger but I'm not complaining. You have to always have a fork because the meat falls out there's so much of it. I always get a cheese steak with extra cheese and pepper's on the side and a small root beer. The service is fast as long as you get there before the lunch rush. But I don't mind standing in line. This time, I'm going to take home a lunch meat sub for later tonight. I don't think I've ever had one. My father was friends with the original owner. My dad worked at the Ford Rawsonville plant. He would take orders from the people on the line and go to Gabriels and pickup sometimes 20 hoagies or more. He told my dad for every ten that he ordered, he would give him a free one. My brother and I like to stop by there at least once a month. Do yourself a favor please go check this place out. You can thank me later.

The steak and cheese hoagie was seasoned well and hot so I can't say much about that other than it's good. The bread was interesting, it reminded me of the soft buns they used for sloppy joes in the best way. It was soft and almost instantly melted/broke down with the meat and cheese so that you get everything melding together. The only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that fast food places have conditioned me to expect some side like fries for $13-14. My order came out to be around $14 with the hoagie and a medium drink but no sides so that's why it's a 4 for me. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.

So here we are today in Ann Arbor to check out Mr. Spots! Atmosphere/Appearance: It's as simple as you want it to be and as unchanged as ever. University of Michigan sports memorabilia and pictures plaster the walls. There's the quintessential drop-ceiling, light wooden paneling on the walls, rounded bench seats and TVs for menus. I don't remember music playing, but there had to be, right? Service: You just go to the counter and order your food then it's brought right out to you. Nothing crazy and we had no issues. Food: I started off with their Philly Original which pays homage to, well, you can guess. Lol. Their own cheesesteak version has like, marinara, onions, peppers and all kinds of stuff on it, but I'm here for the Philly! I got their 10" and the bread was soft, the meat was cooked well, the American cheese-wiz was tasty, but it was fine. It was pretty standard for a cheesesteak, nothing crazy. I was also able to try their Suicide Sauce with both a waffle fry and a wing. It was HOT. About a 7 on the Weavi Heat Scale (I.Y.K.Y.K.). I could definitely handle it and went back for extra dips. The sauce had plenty of good flavor alongside the heat. Value: Cheap eats here man. I'm happy Mr. Spot's has been able to keep the prices low-enough for college students to be able to have a decent meal here without breaking their bank. In conclusion, I liked it here! Would I go out of my way looking for Tom Brady's favorite cheesesteak that got him through college? Nah, but the food here IS GOOD! I wanna come back and check out their other flavors of wings! But there's a reason Mr. Spots has been here so long! Make sure you come and check out why.

We were fortunate to find street parking on Oakland Ave to the East of the restaurant. They claim this is Tom Brady's "favorite cheesesteak." There is a lot of memorabilia on the wall (see photos) including some of Michigan bball but surprisingly no Fab 5. I posted the current menu. As for the food, it was good but not the greatest. I recommend getting a side order of the hot sauce and jalapeños to add. The cheesesteak was good but the chicken Philly was a little bland. That is where the side of the hot sauce come in, worth the nominal additional cost.

We ordered 3 large cheesesteaks, 2 fries, and cheesesteak rolls, plus paid extra for add ons like cherry peppers on the side. Not only did they forget the extras entirely, but the "large" sandwiches were a joke. They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak.
