I had some chili cheese fries along with it. Which, were just average. Tasted like the same stuff you'd get from any coney island around. But, it hit the spot. For my partner I ordered a house Got Burger for her, and she didn't have any problem eating all of it including the fries. We just got done bar hopping depot town and we're perfectly famished. So we decided to stop by since most places around this "NICE PLACE", as the locals would call it, have their kitchens close hecka early. So this spot as the bartenders would say, would be one of the only spots to grab something to eat at. The venue is a little rough to put it lightly. Bulletproof glass partition, maybe for a good reason. Clientele was sketch, I'm sure they're good people, but still gives that heavy drug use vibe. Staff, was direct to the point. Not an issue, BUT, it's an open kitchen and I can hear all the conversation that the kids were discussing. I'm sure it's buddy talk, but openly talking about getting fellached or trying to get fellached just isn't proper when there are proper clientele in the dining area. My double Got burger was alright, nothing to brag about. The husband's mushroom burger was lackluster as well. It would probably be my last choice if ever I were to be in the area again. Way down hill from the past, at least the third time management and or ownership has changed since opening. Staff seems to be only interested in hanging out, sitting on prep tables when you walk in. A very popular place. The inside leaves a little something to be desired; there's pipes and other wiring that's exposed, thin wood bench style seating and dim lighting seems dirty. TV and 2 Electric fireplaces on the walls but nothing works and there's an inch dust on it all. But The food was good. I got the regular "double got burger" which was great. Well done. Not my preference but how it comes. I also got the mushroom burger with cucumber wasabi. I got the single (definitely spring for the double) though it's real hamburger and Patties are quite thin. I didn't really taste much wasabi but I could taste hints of the cucumber when paired with the pickle and thinly sliced tomatoes was good though I did a little doctoring once I got home. I got the seasoned fries which just tasted like spice and needed a tad bit more salt but were crispy and potatoey inside. Overall I would go there again. I would definitely get a double patty and extra of whatever sauce you want and have salt packets in the car and you'll have a nice tasty filling lunch for around 10 bucks. read more

Went here late one night hanging out with friends in Ypsilanti. This is probably one of the only late places that serves food and we were trying not to do fast food. A lot of people order online and just do a pick up as there was several people who were coming in and out. We did not do this and ended up just ordering there and waiting for our food. The wait was not bad and they were pretty fast for the most part. But this was the only positive to this place. The burger itself was bland and had no taste. The fries were soggy and just not right. The people working were fast but you can hear their conversation behind the counter. Trust me when I say you did not want to hear what they were talking about. Very inappropriate stuff. I would definitely not go back to this place, nor recommend. But hey if you want to try it then that is on you. read more

I been here a few times now, and I really think this place is a solid burger place. They cook all of the food in an open kitchen, so you can see how your food is being cooked from the bar seats. I was working late, most places were closed, and I found the GOT. I walked in, was warmly greeted and ordered the double "Egg, Bacon and Cheeseburger" with seasoned fries. Talk about "red hot off the grill" - I had to wait for that one to cool down a bit. And awesome presentation! Based on the reviews online and word of mouth from people who've tried this place before, I decided I had to finally come here for myself. My friend and I came here around 12 am which is a convenience since this place stays open late. Since it was our first time we decided to go for the Got Burger! (Double). We made it a combo with spiced fries and a drink for only $2.99 more. The total meal cost was about $10.50 which is fairly good. The wait time wasn't too long. We received the burgers as soon as they were off the grill. The meat tasted fresh and the burgers really hit the spot. The manager there was actually also super kind. His name was Kas and he checked up on us midway through to make sure we were enjoying the burger. Super nice guy. Overall, I would come here again. It's really 3 1/2 stars I had a real bad experience with Got Burger over a year ago, still I was dying of hunger and this was the only place open after 11 so I made my phone order. I used to love the food here but the last few times it has been terrible. Today was my last attempt to get a good burger here. The burger I got today was overcooked, grey steamed burger with no seasoning it was GROSS!! They only have 1 type bun now (even though they have many on the menu) it's a white sesame bun that is thick & dry. I also got sweet potato fries that were unsalted, totally burnt & nasty!!! The burgers are ok at best. The restaurant is very dirty and it's an environment that I would never want to sit in and eat my food. I've never had a great experience there and I have tried it 3 times. What's sad is that this place could be a great little burger joint, it's clear it is poorly managed, and that they have no idea what they're doing there. They should feel lucky they are located in a college town full of students who only want to spend $5-15 on a meal, or else they wouldn't make it. The very first time we tried it we placed an order and waited 50 minutes inside the restaurant for our food. There was nobody even inside the place and it was 9pm at night on a weeknight. I was so confused. I like to give places chances because sometimes things happen and I am guilty of not being on my A-game everyday of the week. I once ordered an online delivery, about 40 minutes went by and I tried to call and follow up and they wouldn't answer the phone. I drove up there and they said sorry we didn't get it and we won't be able to make the food because they were closing in 40 minutes. I could understand 15-20 minutes but 40 for two burgers? Get lost. The customer service is inconsistent and unpredictable. I tried to order a delivery to my apartment. We started to state our order and he cut us off 3 times asking phone number, name, etc. there were so many moments of silence we thought it was time to actually start ordering but he had yet another question. He was rude and flat on the phone. I asked for the lettuce and tomato on the side and he said they couldn't do it. I was so confused because I have worked in the restaurant industry for years now and that's a request I've always been able to fulfill. He acted like I had asked him to borrow his car, or sprinkle gold on my fries. Unfortunately, this will be the last time we attempt to eat at this establishment. Such a good food place!! I usually get the chili dog -- great chili and the perfect amount of mustard and onion!! The best part: they fry the dog! In addition to the normal snap of the dog, this is fried before it goes in the bun!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the fries are not always 100% on point. We still get the fries, but it's a toss up as to if they'll be 100% done. The burgers and hot dogs are always 100% on point!! Its a nice and clean spot with a couple tv's for watching sports. I went with the single patty GOT burger and fries. Everything was made fresh so the food came out in about 5-10 minutes. I didnt mind the wait if it was fresh. The fries were crisp and hot. Not bad. The burger was pretty good overall. I liked the spring mix greens on it. As an aficionado of the art of cheeseburger, I have been looking forward to going out to the hyped-up Got Burger! and trying their food for the first time. Now that I have tried it, here are my thoughts. The service is very good and friendly, and the dining area is clean and interesting; the food is great, but I expected that from all the reviews I read previously, which is why I was anticipating my first foray into the Got Burger! world. Their dining area isn't huge but it seems adequate since I gather that they do a lot of delivery business based on the 3 delivery cars in the parking lot. But having said all that, you can definitely dine-in; or take-out for that matter, and if you are within a 2.5 mile radius from Got Burger! you can have your food delivered to your door. All in all, very good job for the team, and the burgers are simply terrific. Their meats are both halal and kosher, and for gluten-free people, like myself, just have your food bunless or in a lettuce wrap and you're good2go. read more
