Dinner Specials

We came in with a very large group for a team dinner, and the wait staff did an outstanding job handling the size of our party. They stayed on top of drink refills and provided attentive service throughout the evening, which was impressive given the number of guests. The food experience, however, was a bit inconsistent. My mac and cheese was noticeably dry, and several steaks at our table were cooked to different levels of doneness than what was ordered. While the service was excellent, the kitchen seemed to struggle with consistency across the group's meals. Overall, a positive experience thanks to the staff, but there is room for improvement on food execution.

****Zingerman's Roadshow**** This is a regular stop for me when heading into work downtown. Not weekly but often enough. I appreciate the consistency in the menu items and quality I get from Zingerman's. Breakfast burrito with side of their house hot sauce is choice. Today I opted for a pound of THE BEST butter outside of France, and a large horchata. The drink is only available for a limited time so indulge and enjoy the hard work to make such a delicious and decadent drink. My final bill was $37 before tip. I try not to look at the prices when I visit as each visit is such a treat and the quality in everything is unmatched. Worth it. The convenience of the drive up is also a perk. Easy in and out without having to leave my car. Love it.

Great place and good sized portions. Definitely lives up to the zingermans name!! Mac n cheese is super gooey.

This was our first time but certainly not our last. Wow was it a trip to flavor town! Each of our dishes tasted so amazing! We were walked to the encased patio which gave us views of the snow gently falling as we started our lunch. Pretty and fancy adjacent- like a nice place to dine without feeling stuffy or pretentious. Our server, Nathan was a class act. He was really helpful in explaining the menu while giving some much appreciated tips. He stayed on top of the meal service from start to finish. He was fantastic! The breadventure made us laugh in name, but is so worth exploring. We ordered the large one with several add on sides. The whipped goat cheese, local honey, and pimento cheese were all delicious! I should have asked where the honey came from because it was THAT GOOD! The fried pickles are so seasoned here. Get it with the ranch or the pepper ranch. Those dipping sauces were great too. I had the Pirogies. They were on the specials menu so they are not always available. Divine! The cabbage and onion bed they were sitting on was also quite good but a little salty. Everything was good to perfection. Honestly this was one of the best meals of the trip. Go here- ask for Nathan- get a breadventure and ride the wave of flavor from start to finish. Highly recommended.

We saved the Zingerman Roadhouse for our last meal in Ann Arbor. It was a Monday evening so we got good seats on the covered patio right away. The staff was friendly and helpful and were able to serve the hungry 8 year old right away while the adults made a menu plan. There were so many choices and I wanted to taste a lot including dessert this time. I wanted to taste their Pulled pork sandwich and sides to compare with a favorite place at home in Boulder. But it had a huge order of fries with it and I really cannot have them. Another person in our group who is a regular there ordered a of grits instead of fries, so I did too. The warm mushroom and spinach salad sounded wonderful so we got the large version for the table. It was such a hit for me that I made note of all the ingredients and will attempt to recreate it at home tonight. For dessert, I had the classic cheesecake, a perfect rendition. Every thing I pressed was perfect though such a big meal I chose to eat the pulled pork with a fork in order to indulge in the salad, the grits and the cheesecake. Everyone , including the 8 year old neither fried chicken drumstick and sides an especially her brownie Sunday enjoyed the dinner.

It had been a long time since I had a visit to this location. I decided to choose this place as a meeting spot for brunch. I reserved a spot so I would not have to wait. The parking can be crowded but there are also spots in the back. I was quickly seated on entering. I did not realize they had a bar but good to know for the future. The host offered us drinks and explained the specials and the menu. She also offered recommendations. I decided on the French toast with sausage and sausage. I also got the latte with almond milk. The latte was great. Strong like I like it. The French toast came with 3 thick slices and had a great taste. Too much so I had to take it home. Te sausage patty was good and it had a little spice. It was explained to me that they were freshly made. I am glad I had a chance to check out this place. It is a Michigan staple and I will visit again in the future.

I've been here a few times and really enjoyed the breakfast food and especially the earl grey tea- it's extra delicious and feels special with the little tray with cream and honey. Breakfast was fresh and simple, pricey but good. I didn't like the seating with the heat lamps, some parts of my skin were too hot, but it was unique.

Zingerman's was a feast for the senses as well as a dinner experience. What I mean by that is this place has a ton of charm and character. You can see it on the walls, you can see it in the service and kitchen staff. It was busy. People were moving. In the chaos it was a pleasant home style hearty meal that was a fun experience. I sat on the stools facing the kitchen. A very fun spot to sit at and watch the cooks go at it. I would guess they excel at Americana food, hearty bbq plates and southern type dishes. I ordered a bbq combo plate to try a variety. The meats were ok, but honestly I loved the greens the most. The menu is massive so makes it a bit challenging to make a decision. Service was fast and friendly. Dishes were a bit overpriced in my opinion, but a decent meal. Definitely a must visit for anyone in 2A.

Great Brunch, good Lunch, but menu could use more variety!…read more Savas is an adorable restaurant with a really welcoming atmosphere; the space is cute, the environment is lovely, and the staff is genuinely amazing every single time. My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.

Ok, so I was so pleasantly surprised by this place! I can't believe I had never been here before!…read more We made a reservation for 4 and were seated right away at a cute table with booths that were tall so it felt a little bit more private. The wait staff were super friendly. The drinks were also really good, and the spicy margarita may honestly be my favorite one in Ann Arbor! Their ambiance is really nice with saxophone music playing, unique wall paper, and pretty lights. Our server was really friendly and helpful. I will say, my plate had a stain on it when I first sat down so I asked for a fresh one. The waitress let us know that typically dinner takes a whole of 1.5 hours. She said she times it based off of how we eat. For example, she brings the drinks and appetizers out first and then once we finish that, she brings the salad or soup. And then from there, she brings the entree's. Their beignet bread was delicious with the garlic butter (I even asked for seconds later on)!! Their salad was also really tasty (I got the lemon dressing one) and it comes with croutons that are just like the beignet bread but made in smaller sizes and slightly crispier. We enjoyed calamari and fig with bacon appetizers. Everything was very tasty! We will definitely return! Bathroom was clean but the seat was just super low (like for a child). We parked at the nearby lot and it cost $9 for about 2 hours.

Stopped in for lunch today, we ordered the tuna on sourdough and a turkey Reuben and a local IPA. Sandwiches were fine but the fries were absolutely horrible. Cold, chewy and uneatable. They tasted like they were made the two day ms before and left under a heat lamp overnight. A nightmare for our tastebuds. The waiter never returned to check on us so we decided to just forget them and finish the sandwiches. It was after 1 pm the bar was mostly empty so it wasn't a busy place. Eventually the waiter came with the check and we told him about the fries and he shrugged his shoulders and said it was maybe the cooking oil. No, they were ice cold. He offered to send out a new order of fries but we were done with our meal and had enough. Asked the waiter to at least take them back to the kitchen to let them know but he didn't do it. Asked we walked to our car, two kitchen staff were relaxing by the back door, taking a smoke break. Post Covid Ann Arbor restaurant service has declined but Casey's really have/had the best fries in town. Hope the get back on track.

We were pleased there was live piano music in the beautiful wood ceilinged dining room. Our server gave us a brief history of the Weber's restaurant and gave us time to produce the menu after delivering our drinks. We couldn't agree on any appetizers so we stuck with just the bread plate. There was a lovely salmon spread, and butter. Some of the bread was toasted with garlic butter and some was soft. I can't say the bread was the best part of the meal, my preference is for a crusty artisan loaf. Salads came with each of the entrees, although son doesn't eat salad he didn't order soup either. My husband and I ate all three salads. He ordered the Cobb, I had kale and the third was the house salad which was very pleasant with dried cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette. Both men ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon, medium rare, which came with carrots and mashed potatoes. The steaks were perfectly prepared. They let me taste a sliver and it was very tender! The carrots however were not very tender, and could have used a little more time on the heat. Son also ordered a side of roasted asparagus, it was perfect crisp tender and they left the bread crumbs in a dish on the side without even me asking. We didn't eat any of them! I ordered the miso sea bass, which had the same carrots but a side of butter soy sushi rice. I loved the sear on the fish, it was a very simple preparation that let the quality meat show through. The rice was delicious and I ate most my carrots. After slowly sipping my delicious large $20 Meiomi Pinot Noir through dinner, I developed a sweet tooth and attempted to order a creme brulee for dessert. The men were too full of bread, steak and multiple salads to have dessert. Our server warned us that there was only one creme brulee left earlier that evening, and they were likely out. Indeed, as requested she promptly brought the check without dessert. A chocolate pudding at home for me, oh well....we were all stuffed anyway! The quality of food is excellent at Weber's, and the service was on point. We did not feel rushed but because we didn't order multiple courses we were in and out pretty quickly. I think I would like savor the time better with a leisurely happy hour in the bar on a weekday next time.
