Really enjoyed the location and service of this restaurant. It was the first coney dog I've had. We ordered the coney plate each, a mini Greek salad, and a bowl of lemon rice soup. The salad and soup were outstanding. Very fresh and hit the spot. The fries were steaming hot and crispy. But eat them fast cause these are the kind that will get dry yet soggy quick (dry interior potato, soggy exterior). The coney dogs were excellent. The buns were soft and springy with a good bite and held up against the Detroit chili. As this was my first coney dog, I only ate one of the two and gave the second to my partner. Onions, mustard, and chili cover the dog. I wish the dog itself had a snappier texture and that the chili had a little more bite. All in all, good first coney! read more

The food is good. The service is good. Every employee is friendly and there are several regulars there in the morning. My problem with the place is the coffee! Its WEAK see- through coffee. Obviously cheap Robusta and watered down to save money. Never skimp on coffee! It's so bad I am going to have to go down the road to the place that's opens early in Saline. I hope the owner tries his own coffee and sees what I mean. An upgrade is needed. There is no coffee drinker on Earth that does not notice this I assure you. Ordered a salad online with Greek dressing. Upon arrival- asked the girl handing me the bag to make sure there were utensils and napkins in the bag- "yup". Run back to work- utensils and napkin However, no dressing- get back in my car- in the pouring rain again. Return to the counter and ask for salad dressing. The sea hag at the front offers no apology and says "oh, if you order online, the dressing choice doesn't print out on the ticket" and shows it to me all smug like it's definitely my fault for not knowing this information- again no apology at all for taking up my whole lunch hour and making me drive back and forth in the pouring rain. Just so I have this straight- being my fault and all- I'm curious, either it never occurred to you that no one wants to eat a dry ass salad, or you just don't care enough to ask? Judging by your other reviews- I'd say just plain stupidity and arrogance. While we had mediocre service today, what compelled me to write a review was the following. I was horrified to see that in between serving customers she was eating at the bar and putting her fingers in her mouth, without washing them and afterwards touching plates and serving food. I had two coneys and fries and they were exactly what I expected and very tasty. Dogs are Dearborn sausage company dogs and the chili sauce is national coney. The fries were perfect and the waitress was super attentive and conversational. Nice place! read more

I'm just going to boast their service but the food is good too. Sharna is the best but the other wait staff is awesome too. I brought my granddaughter for chocolate chip pancakes and bacon but I chose the Greek skillet with spinach and English muffin. Delish! I recommend Marks. Been coming here for years. My go to breakfast and lunch spot when in Ann Arbor. Great diner food. Have been many times over past 20 years when visiting Ann Arbor, past two days I went for lunch (coney platter) and breakfast (country breakfast). Saturday I went had breakfast and was very pleased and wanted to say so the lady at the counter had a bad attitude, rude like she did care what customers thought all she wanted was the money owed and you to leave. Always fast, good, reliable and consistent, Mark's has a decent enough variety of diner-type food at excellent prices. You are sure to find a favorite. They are willing to customize as you desire, from whatever ingredients they have. I typically get the chicken salad sandwich on wheat with the cheddar sprinkle cheese instead of Swiss with lettuce and tomato added, for example. They have nice Side snacks, such as onion rings and mozzarella sticks. These are not handmade here, but are they are a worthy accompaniment to any lunch. Breakfast gets pretty busy here so be prepared to wait. Their chicken lemon rice soup is one of the best in the area so if it is on the menu today, order it! read more

Stopped in on Saturday for breakfast with a friend. We were there at opening and service was spot on. Waitress kept the coffee topped off and our meals were out quick. Eggs, bacon, toast and OJ for him and I had the Philly skillet with toast. Delicious! This place, location off State St and I 94 was busy from time they opened. Plenty of staff working tables. Definitely a place to stop and I will go again. They were topping off our coffees for the 2 hours we were there talking and catching up on life. The service was stellar. Our drink orders were taken within moments of us settling in at our booth. Gloria gave us just enough time to survey the menu. (We had been here 1x two years ago and they didn't disappoint this time either! They offer their coneys a few different ways but we prefer the traditional-coney sauce, mustard and chopped onion . The slaw was mayonnaise based and fresh and crisp, I did add some black pepper. It was good. The meat hot dogs didn't have the natural casing that I prefer and the Coney Sauce wasn't pronounced enough for me. Gloria checked in with us to ensure our meals were ok and offered to refill our beverages. I overheard a conversation that if the state doesn't open up the seating capacity, this establishment may go by the wayside. I left Glotia a generous tip! Been coming here for a while now. I normally don't leave reviews but after today's service I felt the need to leave a review. Our service is usually phenomenal but today we had a server by the name of Danielle that was horrible. She brought our pops and then ignored us the rest of our time until after we finished our meals. We had two different servers bring us our food and then our refills. Danielle didn't come back until she gave us our bill and then said to us to wave her down if we needed anything. Why would we have to wave her down? She's supposed to check on us and never did. She completely ignored us. The place is clean and very spacious. The food was cold though by the time we got it but it's normaly delicious, but it had been sitting up on the counter while Danielle was standing over by a different counter staring off into space. Next time I go there and get Danielle, I will be asking to be sat elsewhere or for a different server. She's horrible. read more

I've been working on a parking lot down the street from this place and we decided to grab some coneys a few times for lunch. Each time we've gone the food was great and service was excellent. Loved this local diner! Employees were so kind and food was delicious. Loved watching what seemed to be regulars hugging staff bye at the end of the night. Mark's impressed me... We stopped in for a late breakfast on a Sat'day and walked out totally satisfied with the service and blown away with the quality of the omelettes. My wife ordered a modified Western Omelette (with sausage instead of ham) and I checked out the Veggie 'lette with Swiss. We asked that both be cooked soft and light and true to form, our plates came off the grill exactly as requested. My omelette was also stuffed full of deliciously sautéed veggies including onions, peppers, tomatoes and fresh 'shrooms. I also loved the way the chef put a solitary mushroom on top of my omelette (a piece pf sausage on the wife's) to help the server know who gets which plate. This was the first time I saw this secret code used in a restaurant. Very creative! Four stars...I'll be back for sure. read more

I was greeted promptly after i sat myself. The menus are waiting on the table. The tables were clean, the busboy is constantly walking around tables checking them, which made me happy. My waitress was very energetic and friendly. I was brought water and silverware when she came to my table. I was ready to order, so she took it then, food arrived within 5 minutes. I had a southern style omelet that tasted awesome, the sausage gravy was probably the best part. Comes with two piece of toast.
