10/10! What an awesome hole in the wall! Servings are huge and delicious. Menu has something for everyone. 10min wait for a group of 6 on a Saturday morning so not bad at all. Restaurant is a little tight inside but they make it work. Service was friendly and quick. No complaints here! read more

Met the family here for breakfast. Everyone loved it. I had the chile rellano breakfast. The rellanos were great as was the green chile. It did not come with tortillas which is normally standard for a chile rellano breakfast. It was awesome though. Exactly what I wanted. The green chile is not super spicy but does have a sort of peppery spiciness that had many people coughing/sneezing. Our table ordered a wide variety of food. The breakfast burrito, chilaquiles, breakfast quesadilla, etc. It was all great. The service was great as well. Everyone was polite and the food came out pretty quick. I will definitely be back. This is a great breakfast spot. read more

This type of breakfast spot is my favorite. I try my best to look for places like this on my trips. The place isn't huge so if you have a big group I would call ahead but great place for a nice quiet breakfast. Feels like a family owned business not like a chain restaurant. Food is delicious and huge portions! I was so stuffed leaving. Prices are super reasonable! The workers are so sweet and amazing. Will definitely go out of my way to come back again. read more

I am SO impressed. We were a two top on a Sunday around 11, and waited almost 45 minutes for a seat, but it was so worth it! Service was really friendly, and it's a restaurant in a strip mall so the decor is about what you expect, but the FOOD. If you are looking for some down home cooking with serious flavor, this is the place. We had the biscuits and gravy, which had nice chunks of sausage and perfectly seasoned gravy. The supreme smothered burrito was a little spicy, but just as flavorful and really meaty. The food came out quickly once we were seated too. Heads up, they do charge $1 to use card, so cash is better. Highly highly recommend! read more

Seafood omelette was a huge dish. You have a choice of a side: french toast, biscuits & gravy.. I have no idea what else cause I got stuck on the biscuits and gravy. It was a big portion. Biscuits were from scratch. Buttery. Melts in your mouth. Gravy has chunks of sausage. Winner! Omelette was stuffed. Imitation crab, mushroom, onions, shrimp Half order of French toast was perfect for the 12yr old Full order of French toast was a big portion. Great flavor Blueberry cakes was 3 stacks of 12 inch cakes. Moist and flavorful. No syrup needed. Family of 4 with drinks :$67 read more

On our drive from Denver Airport to Estes Park, we were dying from hunger after our flight and desperately needed brunch. We searched up diners on Google Maps and Mr. Egg was conveniently on our route and had the highest rating. We pulled into the parking lot and got a table for four. It was great. The portions were huge! The food was great! The staff were super friendly, kind, and hilarious! It had a "family restaurant" vibe that wasn't pretentious. The place was clean with a good amount of seating. We didn't have to wait (though we came on a weekday). Did I mention the great food in huge portions? We all loved our dishes (which ranged from pork chop to biscuits to skillets to sandwiches) and we all took leftovers with us. I was a particularly big fan of the pork chop, which was seasoned to perfection and not too dry. I'm not sure when we'll go back to Colorado, but Mr. Egg will definitely be a stop! read more

This came as a highly recommended place by a local and as out of towner's we gave it a shot. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entry. Staff was so extremely friendly right off the bat. We ordered the breakfast burrito supreme and chicken fried steak and eggs. Man oh man was this food delicious. The green chili on the burrito was bomb! Bursting with flavor and a wonderful amount of spice. Nicely filled with plenty of meat and extremely filling. I couldn't finish the entire burrito but gave it a good shot. The chicken fried steak was nicely seasoned, eggs wonderfully cooked and the gravy tasted amazing. So glad we stopped in for this meal. Next time we are in Denver, we know what's for breakfast! read more

The employees here incredibly nice and super friendly you can tell they work as a team, and I have to say the portions were very generous and very delicious overall. A bit hidden but that's the best part about being a gem. I definitely recommend it. However, the place is small so there might be a bit of a wait! read more

If you're in the area, a great place to stop by for breakfast/brunch! They're very busy, but also very efficient. You won't expect to wait too long to get seated even when it's crowded. This place has soooo many options to choose from, so I'm sure the pickiest eaters can find something on the menu that they'll want to eat. I chose the healthy route and ordered a healthy omelette. I was pleased! However, if I were to come back I'd definitely order their French toast read more

My family has been coming to Mr. Egg for quite some time now, so I feel it's time to leave a proper review. Mr. Egg is a locally owned and operated restaurant in the old Thornton/Denver area and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've personally only have eaten breakfast here, which is always amazing. Nothing flashy-nothing fancy, just great breakfast! I have tried quite a few of the breakfast options which are all equally great, but my go-to is the breakfast platter with French toast. On occasion I'll get a Chile Relleno (smothered in Chile verde of course) on the side to offset the sweet syrup with with some spicy flavor! The service is always great as all of the waitstaff that I've encountered are friendly. The food is always cooked to order and comes out fast and piping hot. The ambiance is that of any local diner, so no frills, just simple dining. This place tends to get busy no matter what day of the week it is, so be prepared to wait for a table. You'll be glad you waited though. Two thumbs and two toes up for Mr. Egg! Happy eating, my foodies! read more

Oh my! This place was seriously amazing. The service was the best. So attentive and helpful. I ordered the omelette but couldn't possibly eat all the extras that came with it. They let us get to-go cups and we're seriously wishing there was one where we live. read more

Personally I think the food isn't good, it has a weird taste to the mouth and the wait time is terrible. I sign up and we have to wait hours even though we were first. I understand it's about how much people, but people behind us with more people entered first. The ambient is warm and small. Personally it's overstimulating. read more

You have to sign in yourself on the waitlist. They call every person on the list whether they are physically there or not. Wasn't much of a line at 12pm on a Sunday. This place looks busy though. Had great reviews so wanted to try it out. Orders the steak and eggs.... SOO BOMB!! Nice big piece of steak. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was great too. Amazing this place and the food itself is very delicious service was great it was my first time here and I'll definitely be back ! (:

If you like authentic Mexican food, especially awesome green chili this is well worth the wait! No reservations, just a sign in and there is a wait. It's a small joint but as light and cherry as the staff and patrons. The food is so good, won't go wrong with whatever you decide and it comes out quick and hot. There is plenary of parking so no worries there. read more

I got the BLT with fries and it was pretty AWESOME. Everyone was pleasant and kind, even if I was ordering 15 mins before closing. They were pretty quick with the food. We were told by a friend in the area that this place is great. We really enjoyed the down home, no pretensions atmosphere. Good people watching, friendly service. We ordered the wrong food, namely a french dip sandwich and a tuna melt. The good stuff here is Mexican food (CHILE RELLENOS looked delicious) and breakfast. We need to come back and order to their strength. read more

My husband and I stopped by here for a late breakfast last month. We have only had takeout for the past year and we're planning to do the same here until we noticed that they had outdoor seating and no one was sitting out there. Since the weather was nice, we figured we'd stay and enjoy our meal there. I ordered a veggie skillet, which was delicious. There were tons of vegetables and the portion was huge! With the side of pancakes that it comes with, I had more than enough food for two meals. Not bad for less than $10! The food also came out so quick and their waitstaff was so friendly. My coffee cup never got below half. My husband had Italian sausage and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy. He loved his food as well. He said the sausage had great flavor and loved how large the "side" of biscuits and gravy was. We can't wait to introduce this place to others once we feel safer doing dine-in. read more
