Pricing per hour, number of guys, that they are licensed, all the details that I would have had to go back and forth numerous annoying times if I used other moving services. Once we established the date and I filled out the inventory checklist, all I had to do is pay the reservation deposit and we were reserved. Super easy! I even had to call to clarify something and Veronica was very thorough, explained and corrected what I needed. The guys came on time, were very pleasant, efficient, respectful and careful with all of our things. Everything was wrapped well and carefully transported. We were quoted for 2-5 hours and managed to wrap everything up in less than 3 hrs. The fee was absolutely appropriate for the service and quality. Move4U was highly organized with its quote and procedures that I felt safe going with them -- this way I knew exactly what I was paying for and what they expected of me to make my move easier. Three guys showed up (I'm sorry I forget their names!) and were very efficient up and down two flights of stairs to unload my old apartment, and were so nice helping set up furniture in my new house (including attaching the headboard to the bed frame and setting up a five-piece sectional). They also had the hard task of moving a heavy wood dining table that is difficult to take apart, as well as a large, heavy elliptical ... and needing to navigate in and out of my bedroom with a warning to me so I could be sure my cats didn't get loose. May sound silly, but I truly appreciated that respect so I could be sure to keep an eye on the cats in the closet and be quick for moving items into the new bedroom. The move started late because of the big snowstorm, and it was extremely cold (single digits), but they kept me updated on their timing, showed up only 1 hour late and kept chugging along with wrapping and unwrapping everything to protect items from snow and slushy water. It was a longer move than anticipated (I'm sure the two flights of stairs didn't help), yet they kept going. I would be happy to have them help me move again! read more

They were very responsive from the estimate request all throughout the move! It turned out the day I was supposed to move was the day the snow storm was coming in. I called to see if they would want to change the move date, but without hesitation they insisted the weather would not be an issue. A great moving company is worth every penny. After my last cheap moving company fiasco, I put a premium on professionalism and care for my belongings. From initial contact and throughout the entire process, this company exceeded my expectations. Mike, Denys, Nazar, and Sergiy were awesome. The day consisted 90+ degree heat, a thunderstorm with lightening and serious downpour, and navigating about 10 flights of stairs (2nd floor to 3rd floor walk-up). Yet, these guys were super polite and efficient the whole time. They wrapped my couch in crazy amount of plastic wrap, and thus not one iota of moisture or dirt or a scuff could be found. Because they adequately staffed my move, they actually did help me arrange furniture in my new space. In fact, they moved a very heavy 6-drawer to different rooms while I figured out the lay of the land. They're communicative, transparent in their quotes and pricing, show up on time, are very professional, have polite and hard-working movers, and take care of your items. Both years I paid for packing and moving (loading/unloading) services, as well as some materials. All my items were transported without damage, and the movers were working nonstop to get the job done in an efficient manner. They are thorough, which also means they use some amount of time and materials to pack things properly, but it's a balance I'm happy enough with. I'll definitely use them again next move. We received a call just before our scheduled pick up time that the crew was running a little behind, but only 20 min which wasn't an issue. This review is long overdue. I used these movers back in June after finding them through Yelp's request a quote feature. They responded promptly and their estimate was seriously half the price that I got from some other companies. I'll admit, I was skeptical since back in June they only had 8 reviews on Yelp. But, I am so glad I hired them and extremely happy to see that their have maintained their well-deserved 5-star rating. On moving day, the team showed up early and ready to go. My boyfriend and I were totally prepared to help out and drag some boxes out of the building, but the guys came in like a tornado and we found it best to stand aside. I swear, they had all of our stuff organized and in their truck faster than we could say "can we help you with that?" They did an excellent job of helping us arrange and reassemble our furniture in the new place as well. They were clear in their pricing and our final bill was exactly what we were quoted - no hidden fees for wrapping the furniture or anything. My experience was nothing like the five star reviews I've read here; I was disappointed with the service I received. Their website claimed they would make my "moving process a lot less stressful by packing/unpacking all the items and transporting them in a fast and efficient manner." My experience moving from a condo to a storage unit: 1. No moving expertise: -- "safe and sound handling of your valuable items." I had to ask many times just for things to be wrapped up at all, or things like large holes in the shrink wrap to be fixed. One mover replied "oh I didnt know it was real leather." Huh? It is, but so what if it wasn't? Even if it wasn't real leather, you should protect/treat all my items like I wouldn't want a scratch or breakage on/in it! They said "packing solutions" - literally they packed things haphazardly into boxes WITHOUT adding packing material or folded up the edges of artwork if it didn't fit into the box...at a slow pace. Not sure if it was laziness or incompetence but I got a lot of pushback when requesting disassembly of furniture, in the end they only disassembled 2 bed frames (one of them at my strong insistence) and my dining table (but only the table top from the stand/legs). They didn't disassemble the bottom stand telling me "it will still fit in the truck this way." So dressers, bookshelves, desks, etc... all just shrink wrapped and moved without disassembly. During the disassembly of my dining table, the foreman managed to strip a screw and spent a good 15 minutes ($50 of my money for his time) trying to get it unscrewed. I ended up using a wrench and removing it for him after watching him struggle. I am NOT a handy person, but this guy had zero clue. 2. Careless-- countless times I heard loud banging and crashing as they dropped things onto the ground with no care to my wooden floors. I watched speechlessly as they placed an item on a dolly and rolled the dolly in circles to shrink wrap the item, again with no care to my floors. They tossed and threw things on top of each other in the storage unit. A wooden cube/shelving unit was cracked after they used it as a base on the dolly to load more items on top and one of guys argued with me that that was an "old crack not a new one" and that I could still use the shelf damaged. 3. Expensive hourly rate despite no expertise or professionalism--happy to pay a premium for good/efficient service but these guys had ZERO hustle. They spent a full 8 hours packing basically half an apartment (I had already packed and moved the other half) and moving it into a storage unit. On a rotating basis, 2 out of 4 of them would disappear intermittently--ostensibly to move the truck (there was an issue parking in the back alley that day) or to load the truck. However, they would come back with snacks from 7-11 (and leave their trash for me to clean up) and/or smell of cigarettes. They also found the time to go dumpster diving at another apartment for a chair to take home. One guy spent a majority of the day on the phone with a wireless earpiece, which I have no problem with if you were packing things well/efficiently and moving with speed. Also, despite leaving 10 minutes after them for a 25 minute journey to the storage unit, I arrived 15 minutes before them. They showed up with some additional soft drinks in hand. Another 30 minute break that I paid for for $100. During the unloading process, they lackadaisically formed a production line, if you will, in which one guy was moving the stuff from inside the truck to the edge and one guy received the box while two of them looked on. 4. Disorganized--I have no idea where different pieces of my bed frame are as they didnt see fit to group and move them together. I watched as they unloaded and stored random pieces of the frame and had to remind the foreman multiple times to make sure to bag and tape hardware to the furniture item it was being removed from. 5. I had $40 in cash on the counter that I couldn't find later. They guys insisted it wasn't there and I wouldn't have bemoaned this point if I hadn't subsequently experienced points 1-4 above. All in all, I felt compelled to leave a review (which I RARELY do) bc I wanted others who will be misled by reviews/website description to know that I would think twice if you're going to use them for packing or moving anything (especially if valuable). Maybe I got the B team but these guys did not seem like professional movers. Perhaps the experience is different if you just had a few boxes prepackaged for them to move. They're not cheap and not worth the price at all. I still tipped all them as I felt one out of the 4 actually treated my items with care and moved relatively quickly and didn't want to penalize him for the rest of his crew.
