Quick feedback for those looking to a storage facility 1…read more Place is brand new and clean 2. Entrance is really easy to get large trucks in and out, especially in Chicago cold winters 3. Manager of the place was super nice and accomodating (in terms of the millions of questions I had) 4. I needed something a little bit out of the ordinary and they were really helpful 5. Prices on the the same square footage vary..do your math 6. Take a photo of the access code in your iPhone bc you'll never find that card when you need it. One thing on the potential negative side...you need to use a barrel lock vs padlock. If you don't have one of these, it costs about $14. I ended up buying two, but only used 1. I gave my extra to the manager and asked him to give it to someone who was "down on their luck and needed it"...if you rent from here and finish with your locker, I'd hope you would do the same thing (or give it to a goodwill, that can give it to someone needy) FYI - my comparison storage facility is one I have used in Sydney Australia, and while the staff were friendly and easy to work with, the storage space was grotty, would only give that one 3 stars if I'd have to review it

They claimed this was not set up and started charging late fees within a couple days of the past the due date. I was able to provide the email showing I had set up autopay but there was nothing they could do with the late fee. To make matters worse my rate was increasing 80 dollars. 65% increase is simply unacceptable. This is bait and switch tactics that should not be legal. I will be canceling here and moving to another provider. Edit: Within 5 mins of leaving this review I got response to please call however it is just a generic national number that eventually leads you back to local store you are at. I had already spoke to the store before this review and they were unable to help.

You check in and scan your ID into a link they email to you as your checking in. I use AT&T and I had next to no service. When I asked if they had their own wifi the employee said I would be better off using my phone data since their wifi wasn't good. I walked outside and tried to get better reception for my Data, but still had little luck. I had to use my boyfriend's phone as a Hotspot. Somehow his Google Fi was getting better service which is rare. We were instructed to inspect the truck on our own. No one walked us through it. Also, next to no spaces to park your car when you pick up the Uhaul rental. Surprise same all phone pictures and using your data when dropping off too. I moved almost two years ago and didn't have to do it this way. Both times were an after hours drop off. After a long day of moving taking multiple pictures, writing in the milage and all into my phone was unpleasant. All at night and in the dark. Not sure if this was a change with Uhaul in general or just this location. Not a fan!

Now the place was empty and the only thing in the way was the trailer I was picking up, so I moved my van. And he said he should of given my trailer away ( even though there were 2 more there) So at this time I snapped and said do what the F you want!!! "New customer" would get the same room for 40% cheaper. Yeah, just get the new people in and then 30 days later, they can hike the price up. There is nothing stopping them to do this.

I was never told that the rate was a promotional rate - if I would've known that, I would've never booked it. We could rent a garage for that! Additionally, there were all sorts of fees that were never disclosed until everything was finalized and I went to pay. Also, I have my own insurance - the person who helped me said we had no choice but to pay for their insurance the first month, but after that, I could just send in my insurance documents and she would take that charge off so the following months I wouldn't be charged. Never happened; I've been charged every month. Just a total scam everywhere you turn. Can't wait to get out of this place.
