I was surprised to find on Yelp they have a lunch buffet. I'm new to Mountain Mike's so a good way to check them out. The buffet was so much better than I could have imagined. The food was fresh and quite delicious. I took more pics than usual. lol. Salad bar just the right size. Pizza selections also, just the right size and delicious. Reminds me of the old days in a really good way. Bringing my granddaughters here first opportunity we have. I almost forgot to mention how kind and helpful the staff are. The best! Coming here was a last minute decision for our party of 8, we wanted to sit near the bar so we had a good view of the football game. We walked in and there was inly 2 other people in there, none of then at the bar, they had a table. Ordering drinks was your basic, tab open and let the girl handling the bar know if you needed another. For ordering, you walk up front order at the register and pay there, get a number & they bring it to you when ready. Of our 3 groups we go first, order come back with our number. Quite possibly the best pizza I ever had. We are on vacation and the concierge at our timeshare recommended this location to order a pizza to be delivered. We ordered a custom half and half and scheduled it out to be delivered about 2 hours later. At some point unrealized I entered the wrong room number for delivery so I called to make the correction. The person who answered the phone was polite and updated the delivery address. The pizza arrived with 3 minutes of when I had requested, hot and so delicious. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I asked for a side of ranch after my pizza was brought out to the table after a long wait with no one else in the restaurant, only to be countered with a scoff and a "yeah..." and the worker walked to the back and didn't bring out what I had asked for. I have not been to a Mountain Mike's in probably 20 years. I wanted pizza, since our local in Guerneville is closed for renovations, I suggested Mountain Mike's in Windsor to Mr. WC. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he replied...I remember Mountain Mike's as a decent place with decent pizza, how bad can it be? Pretty bad. The only thing I can compare it to is frozen pizza. Frozen pizza on sale. Frozen pizza on sale because it's a year past the expiration date. Frozen pizza on sale because it's a year past it's expiration date and discontinued. The large is greatly exaggerated, the slices are a mere half size of any other respectable pizza restaurant. Much to my surprise there was a full bar, which is why I gave them 1 star. (the first and only time I will ever go there) The salad was so so, (some of the lettuce was brown, but not all of it) but the pizza was all from the night before sitting under warming lights... When walking into this establishment a man was walking out with his arms full with pizzas. He had ranch dressing in cups that fell off the top and splattered on the ground. I picked up the ranch for him and he came back inside to replace the ranch that fell. I put the cups on the counter and let the girl know he needed new ones. She got the new ranches for the gentleman and then instructed me to pick up the old cups and take them to the bar area and throw them away. I'm not on the payroll but I did it anyway. She didn't bother to clean up the spilled ranch outside the door so other customers stepped in it and dragged it through the restaurant. We then ordered our pizza. I asked if they could cook our pizza a little longer because a few weeks before our pizza was raw and undercooked in the middle. She looked at us with a stone face. Another couple came in after us and they ordered a pizza and Dr Pepper. When their pizza was ready they asked where their Dr Pepper was and she said "when did you order that?" After a few words she flung the Dr Pepper on the counter for them. My husband was waiting to get a Togo box and she walked into the back so he just grabbed the box himself. Clearly this young lady hates her job and even more so hates people. I've ordered the Everest a few times years ago and I don't remember the artichoke hearts being marinated. I'm a frequent customer of here and been ordering for years from this location. Unfortunately it has slowly deteriorated in service and quality. My last order which was a delivery order took almost 2 hours, I did receive a call but only telling me they were under staffed and would send out a driver as soon as they could. There was no compensation, no apologies and seemed like no cares for the lack of service, on top of it all the pizza wasn't even hot or fresh. The Mountain Mikes in Winsor is terrible. I generally go to Santa Rosa or formerly, the one on Cleveland. Tonight, I paid $26.00 plus tip for a horribly under cooked pizza. The vegetables were raw as was the crust called the manager thinking he would want to know. He told me he would credit my card $5.00 and that was all he could do. Then he called back and said he would send another one in 20 minutes. When I hung up I realized that with a 10 minute drive time, there was no way that was going to happen. By now it is 8:30 and I have to be up at 5:30 am to get to work. I called him right back and told him to just forget it, it was too late. He got very rude and told me that it was already being made and did I know how much food I would be wasting. Since he actually wanted the old one back, the food wastage would have been the same. Plus I am out my money as well. I don't understand his logic. There are many bad reviews for this location and they are true based on my experience. I attached pictures that may not show the raw dough or raw vegetables in detail. I have better things to do with my time, but just couldn't let this slide. This was a terrible experience. He ended the call by telling me to never call there again. At no time did I raise my voice, I just told him that I didn't want another one. Considering that he would have to send a driver out and that he got my money for the first one, he would have been ahead just letting it drop.
