She was pleasant enough, but she continually flew by our, and everyone else's, table. She didn't stop for a second. When we made plans to visit the Healdsburg, Geyserville area for our celebration, the second thing we did after making hotel reservations was to reserve a table at Catelli's. We knew that was going to be the shining star, and it was. Unlike another Italian restaurant we visited a couple days later (see my review if you're interested), Cameron spent time with us, as he did with all his guests. Everyone there was in for an experience and Cameron made sure of it. No wonder he's been there 11 years. We started the meal by splitting a Ceasar salad, which they split for us on 2 plates and the plates were loaded with delicious salad. Next, I had the Chicken Parmigiana and it was to die for. The smoked polenta was fantastic. I'll be honest and say that I don't remember what my wife had, but I remember her saying she loved it. They sat us upstairs which was fun for my kids (they love stairs for whatever reason lol). Such a cool little cozy spot! They served bread and olive oil to start, Yum! We got the beef carpaccio for appetizer and it was wonderful. I had a few glasses of house white with dinner. I got the orichette pasta with sausage and my husband got salmon dish. Kids got pesto pasta. All our food was top notch! Delicious! No complaints. Portions are huge!!! We got dessert of course!!! husband got tiramisu (he's a tiramisu snob and this was one of his favorites), I got the chocolate cake with ice cream!! They came and sang me happy birthday in Italian. My two favorites are the Roo's and the Po-Tay-To. I love how the place is laid out. You can see into the kitchen, and the eating area is exactly what I think a pizza place should look like. It just feels comfortable. One time on my birthday, my wife picked up the pizza and didn't realize that they gave her the wrong one until she got home. She called and went back to get the right one, and when she got there they had forgotten to remake it, so she had to wait. She was honestly pretty mad at that point after making two trips, which I don't blame her for at all. But they were so apologetic that they ended up giving us the pizza for free, and that honestly made up for everything and turned it into a really nice surprise. She got over it pretty quickly after that. Funny enough, it worked out as two trips for two pizzas, and my birthday is 2/2. We started with their delicious house bread served alongside an olive tapenade--such a great way to kick things off. We also ordered a bottle of the Tom Mackey Cellars 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired nicely with everything that followed. For appetizers, we shared the grilled polenta and calamari, both of which were excellent. For my main, I ordered the house special seafood risotto, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Spaghetti Pescatore--loaded with wild prawns, clams, calamari, fresh scallops, and fish of the day in a light tomato, garlic, and olive oil sauce--and it was just as good as it sounds. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance via our resort concierge and we arrived early to walk around Healdsburg. There is plenty of free street and parking lot parking in the area. We went in the restaurant about 10 minutes early and we received a really warm greeting from the restaurant hostess and they showed us to our table. From the restaurant bus staff to the servers, they were all so warm and welcoming. They came by first and brought us water and a drink list. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, they had a range of wine selections available. They also allow you to bring a bottle of wine, but there is a pretty hefty corkage fee, so for us it made more sense just to order a bottle of wine at the restaurant. The server also came by and brought us fresh bread and olive oil. We ordered the Caesar Salad to start ($16) and the salad was really good and fresh. For entrees, we ordered two pastas to share (one of the pastas on the specials menu for around $30) all including local fresh ingredients, and the Tagliatelle alla Carbonara ($23). They also came by and gave us more bread upon request, and everything was so tasty, we really enjoyed all of the food and very warm and welcoming service!

Spaghetti Bolognese: Got the upgrade on the Vitello Parmigiana, where this pasta replaced a plainer pasta. Love that the spaghetti was fresh and tender. The bolognese was meaty. It was *almost* too much food, but I was hungry. Limoncello Mascarpone Cake: I asked if they had limoncello as an after dinner drink, but they did not. However, they had this cake. It was creamy and had that nice tart and alcoholic limoncello tang. Chocolate Temptation: Several layers of different chocolate things. According to her it tasted the way it looked...boring and a bit bitter. My Cioppino's was wasn't much better though the fish sauce was pretty good, ever thing else was over cooked and again, only 2 clams. My bowel was only about three quarters full, and out guest bowl was almost over flowing. Worst part was that I only got 1 whole shrimp one shrimp head. On the plus side, the lemonade was actually fresh squeezed with just the correct amount of sugar...yeah. When we left there were only 4 more guest. All in all a very bad experience and expensive at $250.00 plus a generous tip of the wait staff. Hope they don't have to share it with the chef.
