Yikes. I've heard from others that this pizza is great! I've seen some write ups that agreed. Cannot disagree more. My husband and I ordered two different pizzas and we thought that the price was amazing. Little did we know that when we got the pizzas home, they would be missing part of what was ordered. I ordered the Vegi and added chicken to it. Since it didn't give an option for how much or any sauce, I added a note in all caps PLEASE no tomato sauce, extra-virgin only please. Unfortunately, when I got home, it was a very sad pizza without much in the way of toppings and a tiny amount of chicken for an 18 inch pizza. When I bit into it, the crust was as hard as a rock. There wasn't really much to it, which proves that you get what you pay for. My husband had the all meat 18 inch. Comparatively, his was absolutely loaded with pepperoni and other random meat. When I asked if you liked it, he made a face and said "meh". He noted that it didn't taste of much except the meat on the pizza and found the crust hard and lacking. The pizza at this place is quite delicious. I ordered one slice of regular pepperoni pizza. The slice was quite big. The crust is rather thin, the pepperoni and sauce is tasty and overall is a pretty good pizza. The service was friendly and quick. They heated my pizza in the oven which made it warm right before I was going to eat it. The ambiance is comfortable and relaxing. Would recommend this pizza place. read more

I love me some Mambo's pizza and I recently (2 years ago) discovered they have burnt ends. a barbecue dish, traditionally made from the point end of a beef brisket. They are known for their rich, smoky, and intensely flavorful taste, achieved through a slow smoking process. The "burnt" part refers to the crispy, caramelized edges that develop during cooking. And they don't cost much and they are delicious!! Mambo's has a friendly staff and their pizza is delicious It reminds me of pizza back East! I've been coming to mombos pizza for as long as I could remember. Apart from NY pie they are the only spot you can kinda get a pizza by the slice. To be honest, I don't like salads from basically anywhere, but I love their Caesar salad. I feel like it's always fresh and if you add grilled chicken to it, it is literally a great lunch or like dinner. I like how they always have a variety of pizzas at the front and you can choose basically any pizza that they have there. The customer service here has always been great. The workers genuinely seem to enjoy working here. Everyone is always smiling. It's definitely a mellow spot ever since it got renovated. It has kind of like a bar area, which is kind of cool, but I normally just do takeout. Either way they have a ton of flatscreen TVs where people can watch the games or watch a TV show etc.. What happened to this place when it changed hands a few years ago? It was our favorite pizza place. We tried shortly after they changed. Asked for our usual mushroom pizza.It had sweet ricotta cheese that was awful(I know..it sounds good.)It wasn't. So, we figured we would try again. We just got a plain cheese pizza. Can't go wrong with that. It was awful.Crust was super thin (we usually like thin) Hardly any cheese or tomato sauce. Like eating nothing. Frozen would have been better. Asked for some ranch but it was an extra charge..ok, but they charged a 70 cent fee for credit card. I could have used cash possibly had they told me. My friends mentioned to me that Mombo's was good! So for the superbowl we ordered from them. I love the crust! Its thin and airy! A bit soggy in the middle but expected if you dont eat your pizza right away. We got half and half! I got my half with chicken and pesto and my husband got his Hawaiian half. We had it for pick up. The wait was fast and the people were friendly. The price is reasonable. I liked it and was satisfied and will definitely order again! read more

I really enjoy mambo pizza. No pics right now, but the sauce is delicious, the crust is perfect thinness and crisp, the Italian sausage is delicious! My favorite combo is sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom. Also they are open late, which is great for those late work/family situational nights when no one got enough food at the store to cook, there are no leftovers, and all the restaurants are closed! This is absolutely the best in Santa Rosa! We were stopping by in town and looking for pizza for dinner. The place is great! When you first walk in you can see pizza slices that you can choose from. Staff was so kind and energetic asking if we were ok if they put two different flavors touching in the oven. I love how it has a bar like setting with tvs to watch the game. I hadn't known too much about Mombos Pizza, but the first time I've tried it was through a winery event where they had catered. The Friday soon after I ordered from Santa Rosa, and it was delicious . The Bombos BBQ is everything I need to fulfill my guilty pleasure when I need some comfort food at night. It's great without, but with a little ranch and hot sauce. . Oof. Mombos definitely adds more creative in their menu than other pizza joints, something I can appreciate, and it goes to tell you they know flavor profiles. Classic and new. In Santa Rosa it's got a good dining hallway next to the counter. Not too big, so maybe don't expect to find a seat during busy hour. You can also grab a slice if you're just in the area and need something to fulfill a craving . The staff inside, very friendly. Feels like everyone enjoys each other and has never had a bad day. They actually have pizzas ready, once you order they then put your slices ordered in the brick oven so that it's served hot. I love the fact the pizzas are thin crust. The staff are super friendly and gave excellent customer service. I could tell from all the foot traffic this is the neighborhood go-to for pizza. We are pushing 45 minutes now. Either they have out grown their ability to serve at this location or they are trying to drive down their customer service score. Either way this is the third time and this has clearly taken a nose dive. The last time I was able to cancel the order and walk away and get food elsewhere faster. We ordered delivery and got half mambo mondos with pepperoni added, and half roasted veggie. The flavors worked well I'd say for both sides. The pesto came through nicely tho I'd say some of the veggies were over which made for some inconsistencies in bite and detracted overall. That ricotta tho. Spent $100 here on Togo food tonight. I had to recook the pizzas because it was so undercooked. Like disgusting soggy raw dough. We ended up getting sick after eating it!!!!!DIARRHEA AND VOMITING! had to throw everything away what a waste of money. I also got the pesto bites which were $11. Only 1/4th of them had cheese the rest were just cooked plain bread. My salad came with no dressing at all for $9 with no dressing I could barely eat it.
