Buddies is our go to. The owner is so kind and pizza is always amazing!! Sebastopol special is a must try.

It's a little tiny place but the food is amazing. My son loves this place. I liked the wings. They didn't complain about customizations.

Absolutely delicious pizza, took a trip to bodega bay and on the way back saw the sign and was hungry so we stopped by. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly. Ordered the Sebastopol special. Feta cheese, pepperoni, garlic, and olives. There is a table outside so we waited, and shorty after our pizza came along with the bread sticks. From the first bite to the last every bite was full of flavor. I will make a trip to Sebastopol just to come back to Buddies read more

Buddies is a local hidden gem. The owner is nice and friendly. I personally think it makes the best pizzas in Sebastopol and I'm picky about my food! Their pizzas reminded me of the regular crust pizzas I loved while living in Chicago. Their pizzas are generously covered with toppings. The pizza crust is delicious! That's why my 2 year old grandson would always eats the pizza crust first. Their salads are huge! Their family size salad could feed 10 people as a side. I've been ordering the regular Caesar salad and sharing it with 3 adults and 1 child. Here's a tip: Since we couldn't eat the pizzas there, we would warm them up in the oven as soon as we get home so the crust would be crispy again and the cheese would be gooey. read more

This is a fabulous neighborhood pizza joint. The service is great and they always remember me even though I've only been there 3 times in the last year. It's just a counter so there's no decor to speak of but there is some outdoor seating a few doors down. This is a great spot particularly if you like big, soft dough around the edges. Great for dipping. A medium pepperoni pizza can feed me for 3 days which is saying something considering how expensive food is these days. Pro-tip: if you aren't eating it all in one sitting it freezes great and comes back fresh and tasty if you warm it back up in a cast iron pan with the lid partially on. read more

The wife and I have a Friday and Saturday night ritual. We have dinner and watch On Patrol Live. Tonight happens to fall on our 31st anniversary, so we decided to get takeout so my wife didn't red to cook. We have a local pizza place in forestville where I live, but they wouldn't answer the phone and I'm glad they didn't. Scrolling through the internet my wife saw Buddy's Pizza and we decided to try a new place. I knew right away as the gentleman answered the phone that we had a Winner. He had a sense of humor and sounded like someone that enjoys what they do. The website said they close at 9pm. It was 6:50 and he asked if we could be there in 15 minutes.. We were informed that if we weren't there in 15 minutes that he was going to eat it( there's that sense of humor I mentioned). We luckily made it in 13 minutes and were rewarded with a very good pizza!! We added pesto breadsticks and a chocolate chip pizza cookie. Really good pizza at at a reasonable price. Our only hometown pizza place to go to. Pizza is filled with flavor and ingredients are kicking. I love this place. The crust is really thin, but he back is a huge bread stick. Stick some cheese in the crust and it's perfect. It's a small little shack this place is so don't come to eat out unless it is summer or you brought your parka. read more

Locally owned and ran this is a staple for us. They are always pretty fast, always consistent, and quality. Other spots like Round Table have continued to go down hill for years and years. I'm so glad that we have local spots to give our business to. Intently purchased a huge order for 2 soccer teams and the owner was nice enough to carry everything to my car for me without me even asking. No real seating other than a tiny table outside so this place is really a to-go spot. read more

I have no idea what they've done in the last 3 years since I discovered them. They went from "okay at least they deliver to Freestone" to "Holy cow I've never had pizza this good in my life." I've become dependent on Buddies for those nights I just don't feel like cooking (I threw a pork loin in the freezer this evening.) Every time - it just keeps getting better. I finally found the perfect combination, so that probably helps, All Meat with extra sauce extra cheese, half with pineapple and jalapeño. I swear to god if I didn't care about my weight I would eat this every night for the rest of my life. But sometimes you've gotta splurge! Tonight's highlight was the dough. I'm actually going to eat the crust this time. They did something new. It's only been a couple of weeks since I ordered, but now I'm remembering it was pretty spectacular then too. I love you Buddies. Thank you for your exquisite pizza and being willing to drive a few miles west from Sebastopol for this adoring customer. Buddies can't get the order correct: when a person is unable to eats tomatoes and asks for pesto, then is given a pizza with tomato sauce and no pesto, he would expect to get a refund. Instead he got an argument: you did not specify this pizza. Buddies cannot even do the refund correctly, he claims that he did it, but it never happened. He promised but did not do a refund, and the pizza went in the garbage. Never going there again. What an effing moron. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Went here recently and I was really disappointed. I got some pizza and wings based off reading other reviews. I went in and ordered with a young man who had hickeys literally COVERING his neck. He was VERY nice though. The place was literally trashed, I don't know who runs this place but they need to get it together. The floors were DISGUSTING piles of dirt EVERYWHERE! A ton of food containers were sitting on top of the fridge for the whole 30 minutes I ordered and waited, who knows how long all that food sat out. Over machine where wings and pizza was heated up was covered in old food with an old pizza sitting on top of it. Then 2 more teenagers came in, girl and boy obviously a couple and they just looked grungy and not clean were touching things without gloves. I was STARVING and it was late so I ate the food and it was pretty mediocre . Wings were good but I only ate one because of how grossed out I was watching them get set on a dirty conveyor belt with no tray and heated up then put on a box for me. I was pretty disgusted by the condition of the place where my food was being made and I'm pretty tempted to call the health department honestly. I want to give a star to the front desk boy, just because he was very sweet and nice despite looking very dirty . But the owner really needs to be there with these teenagers and for God's sake clean this place up. I will not be back here and I suggest looking inside of this place before you order ANY food from here. read more

I swear this place is almost like a hidden treasure. There are so many pizza spots in Sebastopol that I feel this one often gets looked over which is a shame for everyone else but awesome for me. Less wait time ! This pizza is not only well priced but is truly finger licking delicious from the sauce to the cheese to the fresh toppings and soft doughy crust. Went in on Sunday because we got sandwiches at the deli next door and they were terrible. I was hoping to get the 2 slice lunch special but the really nice guy who was working said they didn't offer it on sundays. Thankfully we ordered a pepperoni pie because it was much better than we expected. The guy not only was really nice but he made a mean pizza and made sure we had cheese and peppers. From now on the go to pizza spot in Sebastopol is Buddies! When I was a kid the place was a dominoes and in the decades it was open they didn't make a single slice worth eating. Buddies has been around a long time, it's become a family favorite for pizza delivery, which is super special to us, since Sebastopol has so many rural areas where delivery is impossible. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available, their fish is baked, instead of fried...delish! Gyros galore! I love the steak one if I am not feeling like pizza. I sincerely appreciate Buddies employees, especially whoever made up the chocolate pizza! I have been hoping/wishing/praying for dessert by delivery and this year I am super grateful for their newest invention! :-) Yum! It even has sprinkles and my son begs me to get one every time we order! Something else I love, they are prompt and consistent. If they say your pizza will be there within the hour, it will be there! The place is built more for takeout, but wow this is a pizza. The combo comes fully loaded with generous helpings of garden fresh ingredients and each slice feels and tastes like a pound of goodness. This is an excellent establishment, my girlfriend and I have been coming here for the last 3 or so years. Every time we get delicious pizzas. The dough and crust is so good.
