This has become my new fav Friday spot. Not only are the staff so nice, but the food is top notch. I have yet to be disappointed. Meatballs in sauce were delish and flavorful especially with the focaccia bread to mops up the rest of the sauce. Very bright and not heavy. Prawn paradise is light yet creamy. The lemon garlic Alfredo sauce hits the spot especially with the prawns. Pesto penne lunch portion is huge and quite filling. Stopped by on a Wednesday evening they close at 9pm we walked in and it wasnt crowded but they still had take out orders. This place is an absolute gem! Not only was our server Brenda so friendly and efficient but the food was amazing and so reasonably priced. We split a chicken Caesar salad which was delicious and ordered the Fettuccine diavola and papparrdelle bolognese. Both were delicious and really large portions. Came here for dinner on a weeknight. We made a reservation to be on the safe side but probably didn't need it. There were other people already at the restaurant even though they just opened for dinner. It's nice and clean inside with cute centerpieces. I was pleased that they served focaccia bread with olive oil and vinaigrette to dip. All the food we ordered was pretty good. Their happy hour is really solid! We came on Friday around 5 PM, and even though it was busy, we got a table easily without a reservation. Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the french fries and fried calamari, which came with ketchup and aioli - both were tasty. My girlfriend had an arugula salad and a burger. She loved the salad, but the burger was overcooked (she asked for medium rare). She much preferred the meatball she ordered in the past. OK, honest review I tried this place one time during restaurant week when they had recently opened and they were out of a few of the dishes we wanted to try. However, after months, I decided to give this spot another shot, and I ordered the pasta instead this time. This pasta that I ordered was absolutely delicious. I think it is my favorite pasta that I've ever had at a restaurant and that says a lot because I have been to a few Italian restaurants in my time. The garlic bread was also good. The wine paired well with my dish in my opinion. Service was a bit slow. I will say me and my sibling didn't get our drinks for about 20 minutes. I understand that a big party came in, but we after a while we had to ask another waiter for our drinks since our original waiter went to help with the big group. Our original waiter did apologize, though, which was appreciated and the other worker was able to get us our drinks after we asked her for them. I love the picture that they have with the dog drinking wine and the cheese for me. It's a cute restaurant inside. It is aesthetically pleasing. We decided to head back and give Eddies another try. My daughter, me and my granddaughter on Xmas eve wanted happy hour. Unfortunately they weren't offering happy hour due to it being a holiday. Service was good even though they got our order messed up but in the end the food was fantastic!! I had a salmon pasta I have since gone home to recreate. My daughter was raving about the pesto too. We really enjoyed Eddie's Kitchen. We arrived over an hour early due to a hole that opened up in our schedule and they were kind enough to accommodate us. Parking was nearby but NOT next door so don't try it (the lot belongs to another business to be forewarned). Service was prompt and pleasant, multiple people checke on us throughout our stay. The restroom was clean, the meal particularly tasty (my wife, a San Francisco native complimented all aspect of it, and she knows calamari and Italian food). The ambiance was quite and pleasant. The restaurant is really cozy. Only beer and wine. We arrived at 5:50 for our 6:00 reservation. We were served our salads promptly but then it was a good hour before our dinners arrived. Totally unacceptable. We were told there was a problem in the kitchen then we were told they were understaffed. My husband and I enjoyed our meal, pasta paradise, but the other couple did not enjoy their meals at all. They said the pasta bolognese was bland, I agreed after tasting it, and the short ribs were not good. Our server was not very friendly maybe because of the situation but he did bring us an appetizer and a dessert to make amends. We arrived here for a New Year's Eve dinner. The reason we decided to eat here was because we wanted to keep the tradition alive to have Italian food for NYE. The streak has been going on for a few years now. Starting the New Year with Italian food is always a great thing. Eddie's Kitchen is located in a nice area in downtown Santa Rosa. Parking was free, easy, and plentiful in the parking lot next door. The vibe was inviting and cozy. It had a mom and pops owned restaurant feel to it and that's how comfortable I felt. We enjoyed the complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious. I'm a big fan of chicken parmigianas and this parmigiana ranks right up there. My Caesar side salad was scrumptious as well. Our server was kind enough to let us order a half order each for both of our kids's entrees. The half order portion was still hearty and fulfilling. For dessert the cream brûlée was sweet and tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the great service for a NYE dinner. Our experience at Eddie's Kitchen was top notch. I've been four times and each time come away with the similar feeling. It's a good restaurant with good food and good service. Consistent. I haven't necessarily been "wowed" but everything has been tasty. For me, service has always been great! Friendly, efficient, helpful with suggestions, etc. Having tried everything from pork chop valdostana to chicken piccata to chicken parm to fettucine alfredo... everything was just fine. :) Most recent visit was during happy hour and I must say, their prices were quite good for what you get! I had the 1/2 arugula and beet salad, a meatball, and truffle fries for about $16. (No alcohol this trip.) My friends both got the papardelle ragu (off happy hour menu) and enjoyed it. Salad hit all the notes it claimed. The shrimp taco was flavorful with the fresh salsa. Oh and after we were seated they brought us fresh house focaccia, with olive oil and vinegar. Always a classic fave. For dinner I knew I needed something that would be good as leftovers so I went with the pappardelle bolognese. Pasta tasted freshly homemade and the Bolognese was rich and well rounded. Mom enjoyed her shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce, and the chef met her request of light sauce on her pasta, so she was happy. My wife and I made reservations with the help of Yelp for New Year's Eve dinner. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted quickly. The menu has a lot of great choices. While we were deciding, some soft cubed focaccia bread was served with olive oil and balsamic. Tasty! We ordered the garlic bread, big beans and fried calamari for appetizers. All were delicious but I thought the calamari was the best I've enjoyed in Santa Rosa. My wife is vegetarian and liked her mango ginger spring salad. I had the NY Steak. Ordered up the chicken piccata, they had so many of my favorites...what a great choice, I did substitute the veggies/potatoes for angel hair pasta. It was scrumptious! This was my birthday dinner so we had a large group so I understand things get busy but that too wasn't too bad but our waiter acted very odd with us. I could hear the other wait staff talking to tables about the specials when our waiter came to the table he never said one thing I had to ask, no hi no welcome in it was odd but that was okay too. Then the appetizers came out. I ordered the salad special and never came. After we ate the appetizers, he asked me did you order the salad? I said yes then he brings the salad and he goes. Are you sure you didn't already get it? I thought that was odd but I said no I just told you I did order it and it never came out yet. He put the salad down and he looked at me and he said no seriously are you lying? did you already eat it? I started to laugh because I thought it was a joke. He wasn't joking. He started to walk away with it. I said no I never got the salad. He said ok and put it down like he didn't believe me. Then when the food came out again, we had a large table. He started bringing that one by one in a different times then at the end he explained sorry the heat lamp was broken. OK we understood things happen. since our food came out. He never bothered us again not ask us question not asked how we're doing if we need drink refills. Towards the end my family told him it was my birthday granted I had gifts that my family brought me there too, and when they told him he said yeah, right and started laughing. I am sorry all of that combined made us all feel a little off! He barely spoke to us and when he did he seemed bothered by us! It was very awkward and kind of offensive. There is only a little to look at from the outside but very nicely decorated on the inside. We came at 5:30 on a Tuesday and there were plenty of empty tables for us. First off, the service was fantastic throughout the entire meal. Brenda was our server. The place looked great and the tables were not crowded together. Brenda greeted us as we were seated and took our order for our drinks. She brought out some small pieces of bread along with oil and vinegar. We ordered eggplant parmesan and chicken marsala. I noted that the eggplant parmesan was baked, I like it crispy but decided to order it anyway. The meals were delivered quickly and hot. My eggplant was flavorful of tomatoes, herbs, mozzarella, and parmesan. The eggplant could have used a little more garlic and basil for my taste but was a good solid sauce. My wife liked her chicken marsala and would order it again. She makes her own so that is a compliment. To top off the meal, I ordered a bread pudding and it was good but not great. A little dry in the middle and not a lot of flavor. We are looking forward to going back in the future and trying some of their other meals.
