I did NOT have this place service my laptop, but I did bring in my computer for help. I'm giving…read morethem only 3 stars because their advice wasn't correct -- at least in my opinion. I brought my laptop in because it would no longer boot up correctly after running Norton Utilities and the automatic repair tools wouldn't work. I was told that the prognosis was pretty grimm and we could recover the data, but would have to restore the OS an reinstall all of the software, etc. They were very friendly and just trying to be honest, which I appreciate. They said they would try a few things, but weren't optimistic. Well, I'm glad I didn't listen. I did a 5 minute search on Google that led to an article that took me through (step-by-step) fixing the problem in 3 minutes. My computer was immediately back to being FULLY functional with no loss of data or programs. I guess this would be a 5 start review had someone said: those are hard errors to fix, but we can look online and research to see if there are fixes out there for this type of problem. I would have left them my computer. But would they have searched or just come to the conclusion that a wipe of the computer was the only fix? Note: I consider myself to be very computer literate and only went looking for "expert" help when I couldn't figure out a resolution. In hindsight, I now realize i could have done a google search earlier and saved myself a trip.

Wang PC fixed my computer in two days for way cheaper than any other repair center would have given me. Martin is also incredibly nice, and there is a "every customer is important" vibe that other repair centers don't give. Martin also went above and beyond replacing the fans and also cleaned the inside of my keyboard (in two days) for no added charge. Needless to say they have earned a lifelong customer.

I had never used a computer repair service and was very reluctant to give my laptop away for repair. I was almost certain that this would not get solved and was worried about my data being lost. I was definitely proven wrong! I read the great reviews about WangPC and dropped my laptop off. Martin gave me an update with the problem and gave me a reasonable quote for the repair. I received my laptop back in a timely manner and everything was working great! Martin went above and beyond to repair other longstanding issues in the laptop that I didn't even ask for (and he did not charge me for this). These weren't easily perceptible issues, but Martin was able to spot them /fix them immediately. Martin is truly and expert/professional. I am very impressed with this service and would recommend to anyone. Really saved me a lot of time and headache. 5/5 stars.

After speaking with a gregarious (easy to speak with) man on the phone for less than 5 minutes, I…read moreknew uBreakiFix was the right place. I dropped in soon after, and the gentleman at the front desk (probably the owner) FIXED my blocked iPhone USB port -- which now works with all peripherals and for charging -- and they did not charge me a dime! Give them a call without hesitation -- no holding; no, "your call is very important to us" B.S. In those precious 5 minutes' time, I felt that the person on the other end of the conversation was knowledgeable technically and able to explain Apple's (probably illegal in the E.U.) restrictions on third-party replacement power port replacement, while empathetic, freely explaining the cumbersome process of having to deal with the Genius Bar post-warranty for my iPhone given Apple's propensity to prevent its customers' Right to Repair. Thank you uBreakiFix, I can use my peripheral hardware now without issue; and it was nice to meet you! I'll let everyone know about ya'! P.S. The man at the front desk is part engineer part detective -- he's not a sales guy, his expertise is not soothing your frustration, it's solving the actual root of the problem: fixing the tech. Having read others' experiences, I think people need to get out more. It takes a village!

And his costs were 'below modest' (I have NO COMPLAINTS - though I was sad that his best efforts - even his expert referral to a DriveSavers in California - could not save precious family data and photos). He succeeded most of the time at jobs thought to be hopeless; his prices are low, his speed very fast, his courtesy heart-warming, and his thoroughness and professionalism are impressive!

to be concise: Positives:…read more * fix laptop hardware *fair price * decent communication Negatives: * took much longer than expected. To be long winded: my 1.5 year old gateway laptop decided it did not want to turn on, - after calling many repair shops I discovered many places do not even work with laptop hardware issues- iTech did! so Plus 1 for them. I took my computer here and Rich diagnosed it with a faulty motherboard. If you chose to get the work done with them, the diagnostic fee is waived which is good, and the labor/parts were fairly priced. Rich was good at staying on top of communicating with me about where my laptop stood on the repair, unfortunately I kept being told it would be done friday... then on friday... o no, maybe Monday. Then once the motherboard was fixed, it turned out the touch pad had also somehow went- In the end it took 2 months to fix! And was a lot more money than the initial estimate. To be fair- that was not their fault, there were unforeseen problems that kept delaying things, and most of the hold up was waiting on parts. Rich did discount some labor in lieu of making me wait so long. and now here I am typing on my once-again-wonderfully functioning laptop! and restored some needed data for school before the fix for free. Just a warning if you go: the Office is in a house. Its a white house, on a random side street with a red door, you have to go to the side door and press the doorbell labeled "B", which I didn't figure out until I got there.
