I'd like to strongly recommend PC Nerds to anyone that has computer problems. Paul is super professional, efficient, and responsive. He was the only one that responded me and told me he could help after I described my problem and asked for a quote. The others either didn't reply or told me they couldn't do it. Due to the covid-19 situation, Paul even offered the pick-up and drop-off service, which save me a lot of time and trouble. He kept me updated on my laptop. Now, my laptop can work again, and even runs more smoothly and faster. Mostly important, the cost is very reasonable. I'm very happy to find PC Nerds and with the outstanding service. read more

Post for my best friend's elderly mother: "The nerds should rule the earth! Paul came to save me after I was hacked. There are such terrible people out there feasting on a 90 year old woman like me!! He got rid of the download ability of the hacker who clinged on to me long ago. Then he put on Malware protection. Now I have security and peace of mind. Paul and PC Nerds gave me a new beginning." read more

WORTH EVERY PENNEY AND THEN SOME!! Paul literally worked over time on the holiday weekend no less on my Uncle's computer and he did not even charge the amount of hours I know he actually put in. My Uncle is 92, and the amount of patience and kindness he had towards my Uncle was amazing! He was even going to purchase new speakers for my Uncle, bring them over and install them because he was trying to make things easier for my Uncle who was wearing worn out earphones, and he was not going to charge us for them or his time. I ended up ordering them myself as I did not want him to be out of pocket any more, and he even made himself available for ME when I had trouble installing them on my Uncles computer. He is seriously worth every penny and you will not be disappointed. I know who I am going to call when I have problems!!! Thank you soooo much Paul! read more

Where do I even start? First of all, all the recommendations you read that are negative about Paul, those people don't know how to appreciate. Paul is one of the most empathetic, caring and thoughtful people I have met. I explained to him the importance of getting my brothers music before his anniversary (passing away three years ago) and he dropped everything else to come through. Paul will get anything you need from him done regarding data recovery. I cannot recommended him stronger to be your person to help you get your data back, or anything else related to data storage/hardrive. Paul is simply the best. read more

Had a wonderful experience with Paul. My 2016 Macbook Pro needed a new battery; the price Paul quoted me was a little under half what it would've been if I'd done the repair with Apple. Paul was easy to reach by text and he let me know when the part came in, an update I appreciated. I got my device back in just five days, good as new. The next time I have need of a tech repair, I plan on reaching out to Paul again. I highly recommend him. read more

My son's hard drive needed to be replaced, so after reading some great reviews here, I called Paul. He responded immediately and was even able to pick up the laptop the same day. He went above and beyond in servicing the machine, cleaning the dust from the interior as well as replacing the hard drive. He was great about updating us on the progress and explaining the details of the job. Very highly recommended! Thanks, Paul! read more

I was very happy with Paul's dedication and expertise. He was able to retrieve my outlook files after Microsoft messed up the upgrade to 2021 office from 2007. They uninstalled 2007 without saving the data file. Paul was able to find the .pst file and then migrate the data to the .ost file, the format used in 2021 outlook. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have my outlook files back. They were also some issues with the Word documents that he found work arounds for. I highly recommend Paul!! Thanks again, Paul! read more

Paul was outstanding...very knowledgeable, accommodating to schedule; thorough, responsive and incredibly easy to work with. Highly recommend his services! read more

Paul was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable! I recently encountered an error with my laptop where my battery was bloated, and I was encountering the blue screen of death whenever I turned on my computer. I contacted Paul about the issue, and he responded within an hour saying that he was happy to help out. Within 2 hours, he had arrived to my location and described the problem and the next steps for my laptop. He quickly ordered all the necessary parts and was able to successfully switch out the battery/SSD! By the end of the following day, I had received my laptop in full working condition! It truly was brand new, and he was texting/calling me with updates the entire time. I would definitely recommend Paul and PC Nerds to any individual looking for repairs. His prices were fair and his customer service was phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back with any additional errors I encounter. read more

I hired Paul since he said he could fix my issue in 2 days and it took him 7 days. He constantly made excuses for the delays and changed his story when I asked him for a status update. We agreed to a certain make/model for a hard drive and then when he returns the PC, tells him he installed a different hard drive. I asked him to not bother recovering files from my broken hard drive and he does so anyway and charges me for the time. By the end of this ordeal, I honestly felt like I was paying him to return my PC and f* off. I get the impression that Paul is knowledgeable but can't deliver on timelines and is taking on more work than he can handle. The biggest takeaway I've had from this experience is that it's probably more cost effective to start replacing PC parts than to hire a professional. read more

Paul is refusing to give me my computer back. It's been a month and a half since I gave it to him I'm an immigrant woman of color. Life is hard enough to have this business steal the only computer I had. So disappointed! read more

My laptop of 5 years experienced a crack in the screen. As it turns out, while waiting for a replacement screen, Paul ran some tests and realized that despite my having Norton "protection" via Xfinity/Comcast, I had quite a few viruses and, as it turns out, a damaged hard drive. After a couple of weeks, I got my laptop back with some add-on's, a serious malware anti-virus software added, and my machine is running like new ... better than new. Great company, nice people! read more

****HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paul is the best! I foolishly stripped a screw while trying to change my laptop battery myself. I ended up calling Paul who fairly quoted me (after some other bozos tried charging me 80 bucks) and conveniently set up an appointment with my the very next day. I went in and hung out with Paul while he swapped the battery. He also answered all of my many questions with extreme patience and professionalism. read more

Paul was great communicating and making sure I knew what was going on with my repair, cost was fair for the parts and work done, laptop seems brand new after! Over all, great work and customer service! read more

Paul was superb! I contacted several local computer repair shops to fix/replace the battery in my Surface Book 2, but nobody wanted to do the job. After some messaging back and forth and a phone consultation, Paul took the messy project on. He came by himself and picked up my laptop and it was fixed the day after. While working, he sent me multiple photos of the progress he was making. A+ service! read more

PC Nerds had my laptop up in running in now time after it took an unfortunate free fall, which required a mother board change. Paul went out of his way to find the most affordable replacement and did the work at a reasonable price. He was flexible with my time and had the courtesy of picking up and dropping off my hardware at my door. Very professional and responsive to my questions and concerns. If I have any PC issues going forward I'm coming right back to PC Nerds. Thanks again! read more

I recently lost my job and my computer is now my office and lifeline to employment. A rogue virus attacked it this past Saturday and totally shut it down. I usually bring my computer to a large well known chain store but they are quite expensive and take forever to repair. I found PC Nerds and Paul, the owner by accident in the yellow pages and boy am I glad I did. He picked up my computer and spent hours fixing it, rebooting it and adding more security to it , all for a very very reasonable price. He dropped it back off yesterday and it works great. He was very professional and efficient and called me to update me on his progress with the repair. I would use him again in the future if needed (hope not to have anohter repair need). I would reccomend him and his company highly. Patty read more

I found Paul the owner of PC Nerds through multiple outstanding reviews like the ones here. I had spoken to him once some months ago & he answered all my questions and told me what he could do about my laptop's problem and the maximum of what it would cost which seemed quite reasonable, but at the time I guess I wasn't desperate enough yet and so didn't follow up with him. Meanwhile my laptop was running slower & slower and getting to the point of often not even responding frequently for a number of tries to most of what I needed. Now flash forward to last week when my computer died once & for all after I dropped it on the floor. The power was on and when I picked it up, the screen was black & the only thing I could get was one repetitive statement that was incoherent with my limited knowledge of technology. I called Paul & asked him to come ASAP which he to my surprise did. He came that day to look at it & take it to his office to fully assess the extent of the damage I'd done to the hard drive. He phoned me the next am & told me what my options were including what his recommendation was when I asked him for that. Unfortunately I lost almost all my data due to exactly how I dropped it causing the hard drive to have full amnesia; but Paul told me it was worth putting in a new hard drive & rebuilding the computer, so that my laptop would be essentially a new device. I was extremely anxious due to my situation, but when Paul returned my laptop, it really was a New Computer. It in no way other than its shape, color & light weight resembled the one I had given him a couple of days before. He had not only put in a new hard drive, but added items including a much more effective security system than I had had "before the fall." He had also added three different browsers I could now choose from & got all my most important OFFICE System up & running again for me. Everything was so much faster, smoother & cleaner. I was so thrilled that I referred a friend to Paul at PC Nerds when he had a problem a week after my disaster. My friend was just as happy as I had been after consulting Paul & is someone unlike myself who is very knowledgeable & tech savvy. I also think what I was charged for the extensive amount of labor and basically rebuilding the whole laptop plus the new hard drive was extremely reasonable and he was generous with his additional time helping me set up the laptop at home with my other devices. read more

Wow. I called Paul after my work computer completely shut down. It was the sort of 'shit the bed! that makes an atheist believe in god... Paul was calm, organized and reliable. I called now, about a laptop I have which has unfortunately became infected with some malicious malware. The guy on the phone (Paul, I believe) was very courteous and helpful. He ran some checks with me on the phone, and went with me over the various options I can take in order to deal with it myself. We spent about 15 minutes on the phone, and he never gave me the sense that I was wasting his time, nor did he put any pressure to bring the laptop over to the lab. When I asked about that option he proposed fair pricing as well. While I haven't paid for the service, I still thought I'd share this experience here. If I do decide that I need a technician, I'll go there. read more

My laptop was drowning in malware! Help! It was unusable (as**ole*s) I contacted PC Nerds. I dropped it off at their office the next day, a Saturday, and Paul returned it dropping it off at my home on Monday. He removed the malware, cleaned it up and tweaked it. It works like a dream now. Paul offered out that I should call if there are any questions and that there would be no charge (anything within reason). I did call, he promptly returned my call, answered my question and made an adjustment. I will definitely use their service again. Thanks Paul! read more

My out of warranty Toshiba laptop has an internal battery, and after trying multiple power adapters and calling the very unhelpful manufacturer, I called PC Nerds. Luckily, Paul quickly diagnosed the problem and even picked up my laptop from my workplace. Though I was concerned when I found out it required a new motherboard, the price ended up being way less than I imagined. Paul was very professional and clearly told me about the problem and the timeline of fixing the issue. He even realized there were a couple of other problems with the laptop and fixed them without charging me extra fees. My laptop contracted some really nasty viruses that completely shut it down, sending me into a huge panic. Other people I called said it would take 3-5 business days to repair. I called Paul once my dying PC could not stay running more than a couple minutes without crashing. The PC had been a good machine, but more important was the last year of data on the hard drive, with pictures and videos of our new baby. Paul worked all weekend trying to save that PC, installing a new OS and swapping every hardware component on the board in the effort. The PC proved unsaveable. I had changed out the power supply a couple years earlier and as Paul had tried absolutely everything I'm now convinced that's what caused its demise. Paul did manage to get it stable enough to copy all our precious memories off of the hard disk, which I have now carefully backed up. Since the PC itself couldn't be saved, per our agreement Paul only charged me for three hours of work for all his time and effort. His persistence on our behalf was exceptional, and through all the uncertainty of the experience, Paul acted with integrity every step of the way. The man is as good as his word, and it's important to him to show his customers they're getting the highest quality service. read more
