Facing for the first time all the anxiety that comes with the failure of an external hard drive that contains a wide variety of important/precious files, we were expecting to receive bad news about which files could be recovered and/or sobering news about the high cost of recovery. We brought the drive to Gagan as soon as possible, and he patiently answered our questions - none was too trivial for him. He started working on our drive immediately and showed us some preliminary findings which inspired our confidence. A day later and 99% of our drive contents were recovered, all for an incredibly reasonable fee. I've been bringing my MacBooks and iPhones to Singh for years for diagnosis and repairs. He's quick, friendly, and knowledgable. His fees are very reasonable. Today my laptop wasn't charging. I thought I'd fried something internally when I tripped over my power cord and knocked the cord out of the plug. Turns out it had just gone into panic mode and needed a code to reset it. The Dunning-Kruger effect in action: When you consider yourself a nerd, but then your parents' computer completely stops working (not a fan was spinning). You suspect the power supply, and decide to have it repaired professionally so mom isn't asking my she needs to buy a new computer. Turns out the motherboard had de-initialized. I didn't even know such a thing was possible. Anyways, after getting some quotes, and reading a lot of reviews I decided to trust it to Singh. Within a day (as promised), I was informed of what the problem was, and how it might have happened, and what steps were taken to fix it. When I went to pick it up, Singh showed me everything was working, and was extremely patient with me in helping me understand the issue. And his fees are more than reasonable. Our latest visit was to diagnose why the first gaming computer my son built wouldn't fire up, and Gagan quickly identified the issues, explained them to my son, fixed them, and did some additional cable management that made the build more pleasing aesthetically. This is the best data retrieval service ever! Although my data wasn't successfully retrieved in this step (because it's just so broken that it requires a "lab" work instead of a regular repair), the gentleman was attentive and responsive from the beginning, transparent about what he can do and quick on calling me with updates in 2 days. He was able to identify what area of my SSD failed (and tell me that the data was there, just the access failed), and give me reference to a reputable lab (with a special discount of 10% linked to his service) to pass on this information. He also gave great recommendations as to quality SSD brands, and BACKUP strategies. At the time, I was distressed about losing my dissertation draft with the SSD, so it was especially touching when he offered me (a zero-income PhD student) a discount on the diagnostic charge saying "you've already had a big loss". I am convinced that if the data was ever fixable at a non-lab environment, it's with Dynamic Computers. I emailed in advance of stopping by because of the notice suggesting limited capacity due to COVID, but promptly was told I could come by any time during current business hours. I got to the store right as another couple was leaving and didn't have to wait at all. My computer (Dell PC) wasn't closing properly, and he quickly realized the problem was just a missing screw. He fixed it for me free of charge, and tightened the other screws on the machine to prevent the same thing from happening again. Was in and out in 5 minutes. This store seems to offer outstanding value and thoughtful service. They took ample time to assess my machine and determined that its issues were likely caused by a peripheral device. Then they sent me home with a new part to try without charge and allowed me to return it a few days later when I determined it wouldn't be necessary. I only saw one Yelp review for this place, but it was 5 stars and it was close by, so I gave it a shot. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and very informative. A lot of places would just say "Oh, yeah, your Part X is bad. You need a new one" and leave it at that. Singh told me that my graphics card had gone bad because the capacitors blew (literally, the tops of the capacitors had burst open), which had been caused due to overheating, which had been caused by lack of sufficient air flow in the case. He charged a VERY reasonable diagnostic fee and recommended that I pick up a simple case fan (and a new graphics card, of course). They had a quick turnaround time (they diagnosed the problem and got back to me within a few hours), a knowledgeable staff, great prices, and they're close to where I live. I will DEFINITELY be coming back to Dynamic for any future computer needs. read more

First, get passed the fact his shop looks like somewhere you could buy an illegal handgun. Once you do that you'll see the excellence..... I went here after buying a PC from CyberPower INC (horrible company). The PC didn't work and after several screw ups with CyberPower's technical support I brought this down for repair. The owner sat down with my PC and did several tests. As it was a gaming tower he had me play several games after each test so he could attempt to diagnose the issue.....after over an hour he came to the conclusion the motherboard was shot and charged me TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS! And when I returned my PC for a refund and had him build me a custom one he gave me the $25 credit towards the new PC. When he built my custom PC we went over each part, the expense and why he suggested it. He went over several cost saving options and didn't feel like he was fleecing me at all.
