How much would it cost to fix the hinges of a MSI GS73VR 7RG Stealth Pro and clean the dust out of the fans?

Thank you for the message. It’s a hard to give you any pricing without looking at it but basic ideas if I don’t need part we can fix using compound/glue it’s about $85. If we need any parts, then I really have to look at it and then give you a…

More than ready to invest the time it takes for me to do it myself. * 7:00 get to Best Buy, find the moden I found on line, and surprise a sales guy! Who would of known? But Ohh look it's not a pesty Best Buy Sales Rep. It's the Geek Squad dude and NO! they don't wear capes. But they do drive VW Beetles. Ha Ha! Looks remotely like my cousin Dave. He looks pleasant like my cousin - so I welcome the unsolicted help. GS: Hi do you need any help finding anything? Me: Hi! I'm looking for a wireless modem for my condo. GS: The one in your hand is perfect. Small Place? Me: Yup. :) GS: That one is perfect for you. Me: Cool, I read these are pretty simple to set up. GS: In theory yes, but you know how that goes. Me: Seriously, yes I do. (Bracing myself for the inevitable sales pitch, but surprisingly welcoming it.) GS: For $159 we can have someone come to your house and set it up, make sure it's secure. We can have in done in 10 minutes. Me: Done. Can someone do it tonight? GS: Uhhhh, (does the universal symbol for looking at wrist for time, even though there is no watch on his wrist) how far do you live from here? Me: 10 minutes, and to be honest if someone can't do it tonight, I'll probably just call Comcast. (Thinking to self I hate Comcast so much, but I'm also feeling a tad bit impatient. I am also part Chinese according to boy Kenny, so I feel it's an approproate time to kick in my kick ass skills at negotiating a deal.) GS: OK I'll do it. Follow you home and set it up. Me: Cool! :) (Then thoughts of axe murderer....) Wait you do really work here, right? GS: I do. Smiles. Me: Just Checking. ( I then proceed to ask about 10 more people in the Best Buy Blue shirts if they know him). Cool safety check clear, strange man welcome into my home. 7:20pm walk into house (action lan inplace with my girl Pam, just incase he's not cool). 7:34 He leaves. 7:35pm sitting in front of my TV, enjoying my new laptop and tv at the same time. Yeah baby. =) I'm so happy. I was really impressed with their service, very friendly and courteous. In addition, I felt very safe allowing this stranger into my home. Everything I've heard about the Geek Squad has been validated. They don't talk to you as if you have you head up your ass about computer type things, and they are efficient as hell. Dude AKA as Curt was not kidding about the 10 minutes in my house. I was also pleased at how patient he was to answer my questions and made sure to check that I was comfortable with everything before he left. So yeah $159 was well worth the investment. He mentioned to me that this was pretty much the flate rate for house calls. No additional fee's, or cost after the first 10 minutes. No geeky questions, no geeky behavior and poof he was gone. These dudes will definitely be my back up when Roni E isn't available. Her rates are cheaper - 2 Soco's and Coke. LMAO. 5 black-rimmed-coke-bottle-glassed in my book.

Pitiful to say the least. I brought my laptop in to fix a broken hinge (it wouldn't close right),…read morethey kept it for five weeks only to ship it back to me unfixed because the factory couldn't ship them the part. And then BestBuy had the audacity to try and sell me a new laptop. I then brought it into a generic computer repair shop. It took only one day to diagnose the problem, (They then gave my laptop back because it was still usable), And then after they got the part delivered took one day to repair it. It cost me a lot less than what geek squad was gonna charge to. I'm NEVER using Geek Squad again. They were a complete and utter waste of time, and gave me no results. Worst customer service I ever had.

I joined YELP just to leave this review. Angel & the guys @ SD&I are the best -- responsive,…read moreinformed, capable, responsible, and fair. Working with Angel and the crew was a fantastic experience. Completely exceeded my expectations. I am the guy who small businesses like SD&I dread. I research online reviews and try to test product to the point I become paralyzed with indecision. I talk myself into and out of multiple different options and designs. Throughout my process, Angel was patient with me, appropriately consultative, and helped me get to the outcome he knew I wanted even before I could see it. When my wife and I decided to finish our basement, we had an opportunity to wire the basement and main floor of our house with a clean and integrated look. As much as possible, we wanted all wires hidden behind walls and clunky equipment concealed. For the living room Angel recommended a 2.1 system with capability to drive the subtle and nuanced sound from a turntable as well as the booming explosions from a 4K action flick. In the basement, we went with a 5.1 system that also balanced musicality with the power for a dramatic viewing experience. As required, the wiring was concealed and tucked away for a supremely clean and tight appearance. Throughout the design, product selection, and installation process, Angel was there to guide things along. He consulted, recommended, and sold me various pieces, but integrated existing product I had on hand as well as the Anthem MRX 520 receiver I insisted upon getting brand new for the living room. Attention to detail was exceptional -- although my existing speakers required bi-wired connections, the new speakers I purchased did not, and Angel and his crew nailed the installation perfectly. Attention to detail was also reflected in the recommendations for speaker cable featuring great access and prices to very nice Audioquest speaker and HDMI cables. I'm so glad he convinced me to go with the JL Audio Gotham Subwoofer -- I knew it would shake the house during movies, but I didn't realize it had the subtlety to enhance a John Coltraine's, A Love Supreme on vinyl. Testing out the final product was the best part of the process. Angel and his crew spent a while with me dialing in the room correction software and receiver adjustment process. My musical taste is a bit eccentric and I think the guys from SD&I were a bit underwhelmed with the initial test tracks I selected. When I finally played Keep Your Name by Dirty Projectors, the house came down... This review is way overdue, but Angel, his wife, and the crew at SD&I deserve it. Whether you're completely new to the world of AV and just want a proper hookup for a new TV & speakers/soundbar or you're a moderate hobbyist like me, and want to geek out over sound or picture, Angel and SD&I will have you covered. I recommend them without reservation.
