Have used them since the days when they were called iPhone Curt. Always great service and so far they have managed to fix every Apple device that I have brought to them. They are also much less expensive than the Apple Store for repairs. read more

Coffee spilled directly on a MacBook Pro. I thought it was lost. Kurt and his people recovered ALL of the data including images , email , bookmarks ( I had things in iCloud but not everything) and put it back on a rehabbed exact copy of my old PowerBook. Like it never happened , honestly. And the price was more than fair and saved buying a replacement ( with no data, apps... ). I couldn't believe it. I trust these folks , highly recommend them , I doubt Apple could have come close to this overall result. read more

I had a couple of messy problems and they did a first-rate job of recovering the systems. Polite, helpful, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. read more

Saw this place had good reviews so I called to ask about data recovery and the guy that answered the phone (who I'm assuming to be Curt) was a complete condescending a hole! Laughed in my face and acted like I should've known everything about data recovery. Not a good guy and I would not recommend this place to anyone regardless of how good their service is. One of the worst interactions I've ever had with someone on the phone - Do not give this guy business. read more

I dropped my Pixel 9a phone, and the screen cracked like a spiderweb. I found TechRescue and called them. They ordered a new screen and notified me a few days later when it arrived. I dropped the phone off, and picked it up about 4 hours later. It is now like new again. These guys are great, and very friendly too! read more

This is exactly how computer repair should be!!!! Curt and his team were just absolutely amazing and fixing the blown speakersi n my MacBook Pro. Never again am I getting service from the Apple Store, this was such a better experience. They did it same day, took time to understand the problem, and were great communicators. read more

Excellent, expert service. Fair prices. I have used TR for both android phone and PC repair. Curt and team superb.

These guys are great. Hard drive crashed on my desktop. They were able to retrieve my data files and replace the hard drive at a very fair cost. If you have any hardware or software problems, I wouldn't hesitate to use TechRescue. Their follow-up is also outstanding. Making sure my PC was working like new. Thanks guys! read more

After getting lost trying to have Microsoft solve my hardware problem with my new surface laptop and after calling bunch of places without being able to talk to them, I finally got to talk to a person as TechRescue and he suggested I bring in my Surface laptop. Using their special tools, they were able to solve my problem in 10 minutes. The best part came when I asked about the charge. It went like this: Me: "How much should I pay?", Him: "How much you feel like paying ?", Me: "maybe $100 ?", Him: "no, that is way to much, how about $20?", Me: "OK, we will settle on $40". I Highly recommend them based on their professionalism, honesty and excellent customer service read more

These guys are amazing. Able to repair my laptop in one day. Price was WAY less than I expected. They offered to deliver it to me (I live in the same town). Easygoing , friendly, smart, nice. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. read more

I thought my laptop's charger tip breaking off and being stuck in the port was unlucky, but TechRescue made me feel so lucky because I found them and they fixed it right away. They are super friendly too. I will definitely go back for future tech help! read more

Was told by "Ubreak I fix" and Apple that husbands iPhones motherboard was damaged. We had no iCloud so unable to retrieve any data or photos of From phone. Apple gave us a company called Data Savers . We called was told it would be at least $700.00 to start and could cost anywhere of up to 2k depending on amount of work removing data , etc. We have sat with the phone for months now deciding whether to spend the ridiculous amount to retrieve the data. This is where a friend tells us about TECH RESCUE. Called spoke with Curt, sent the phone. Within 24 hours my husband has all his photos (important photos. Son's wedding, Grand Canyon trip. Yellowstone trip, graduations, family memories, and many many more important life moments. How much you ask ??? &75.00 We were stunned. Could not believe it. I actually called shop this morning and got filled up thanking the shop tech (Curt not available) at just how grateful we are. Please do not take your Apple products or any electronics anywhere else. Curt & TECH RESCUE crew are the real deal. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Tech Rescue is one of those things that makes living in an expensive, sometimes tough city like Boston better. For the last 15 years, I have taken an assortment of Apple gadgets (iPhones, iPads, laptops) to them for routine battery replacements as well as slightly more exotic repairs (for example, changing out the charging socket on an iPad that my kid had worried to death through obsessive charging). The founder, Curt, still is present at the front desk and sets the tone for the entire thing. The quality of their work has been impeccable, while the cost of the service is roughly half of what Apple charges. In addition, they get it done in a timely way with appropriate humor about human foibles. (Check out their collection of less than new looking devices that failed to survive breakups or inebriated Saturday night escapades.) Highly recommended. read more

Curt and his team do amazing work. I have used them 3 times now this year. 1) when my son passed passed, they worked with me to figure out his Apple ID which allowed them to then restore his iphone and his macbook so I have all of the data. which then allowed me to gain access to his gmail account. 2) My mom's all in one was messed up. They removed all malware and did some simple HW upgrades. 3) When my step brother passed this week, the got his android phone unlocked which then allowed me to gin access to his gmail. They are very reasonably priced as well read more

No rescue and will never return. I don't even recall having to deal with such rudeness. I preferred to take back my unfixed device than give a single penny to this condescending guy. Zero star if I could. read more

I needed a new hard drive. They did it in one day for a price we agreed upon. I'll be back.

wonderful, friendly service in a new sunsplashed location... replaced my laptop keyboard in a few hours.

Bottom line up front: I can't recommend Techrescue enough, will use them again, and refer my friends to them. I've used them twice now: (1) to replace case damage to a 10-year old laptop (dropped it) -- which required finding parts and some ad hoc repairs. (2) to replace the battery in a "thin and light" ASUS Zenbook. I've been around computing for 40 years, have built my own systems, etc. Except for getting the parts, I might have been able to do the repair (but been there, done that, and didn't want to do that again). The Zenbook was an entirely different story! I have no clue how they even got the case open (thermal separation long the edge like certain fruit-named mobile phones?). When I walked in, staff were working with =microscopes= on printed circuit boards -- props to them. Again, great people and great resource. read more

I came in with my microsoft surface laptop that had water damage. They were able to respond to me quickly after dropping off but they don't have enough experience with my computer or enough parts to fix it. So, unfortunately they could do nothing for me. read more

I have been going to TechRescue since iPhone Curt was still upstairs in an office the size of a closet so I am a little ashamed I haven't written this review earlier, but better late than never. Curt has always been awesome with us. He has fixed more iPhone screens, iPad screens, saved files, etc... all at less than half the price of Apple. The crew there has told me when not to waste my money, and upgrade; they have gotten me old phones on the cheap; and at least 4-5 times I have gone in for what thought might be a big repair or dead phone, and they have fixed the issue no charge. They upgraded my 10 year old desktop after Apple said it could only be recycled and it's faster than my new laptop. These guys are awesome. Enough said. read more

This guy gets a lot of good reviews for his services but when I went in there because the hard drive in my laptop was broken, he was unbelievably insulting and crass. Initially, I spoke with My regular tech guy (a friend who has been building computers and networks for over 20 years) but he was very busy so I decided to give TechRescue a shot. I conveyed to TechRescue what my expert had told me and what I wanted to happen. First, he insulted my friend saying he didn't know what he was talking about. Then he made fun of me for spelling out my name and email address. I always spell out my name because everyone gets it wrong the first time. This iPhone Curt guy is a major a-hole. I'm not going back there ever again. STEER CLEAR OF THIS MAN IF YOU CAN. read more

This store provides exceptional and friendly service. Curt and crew have helped me with phone and laptop issues on many occasions and they never disappoint. During my last visit I asked that they troubleshoot a laptop problem. I left my laptop with them for several hours while they ran tests-- I trust them completely. They could not replicate the problem and asked me to return when i experience it again, which i will do. There was no charge for the troubleshooting. Their customer service is the best and I highly recommend them for all your phone and computer repair needs. read more

Curt and the team at TechRescue are AMAZING! They are extremely thorough and honest. If they cannot fix something they will tell you and also help you find the right expert(s). Just all round wonderful people. read more

Awesome shop. Fixed my macbook for 1/10th what apple would have charged me. Highly recommend!

Curt runs a very reputable business on the corner of Washington and Parsons Streets. He repaired my iPad screen (note to self: iPads do not like to meet stone as the relationship shatters them) and backs his work with a lifetime warranty. He called when it was ready and was willing to work with me to make the pickup as easy as possible. I have no reservations about going back for other repairs, although I hope I won't need his services again. It is nice to see a business that values customer service and offers excellent services at very reasonable and fair prices. read more

fixed my laptop perfectly and professionally. He knows his stuff (I am an IT guy by profession) price was reasonable and worked to keep the cost as low as possible highly recommend them read more

Pros: -Friendly and knowledgable staff at the front desk. -Connected me to their wifi on my tablet so I could find the correct bus route back home. Cons: -Entered in my email wrong the first time, which was the only way I could be contacted while they were working on my phone. -After updating email to correct address, I never received any email updates as to how my phone was doing, good or bad. -Said because the phone was completely broken they would try to extract data and let me know how it went; NEVER let me know how that turned out. Would not recommend this place if you can't give them another phone number to reach you at, who knows if they would anyway. But I'm sure laptop service is fine. read more

They helped save my moms photos of 5 years. Since she didn't have a backup of her data we were worried that all hope was lost of retrieving the data from a unresponsive iPhone 6. We went to a lot of people including another repair shop and the apple store. They said it was unrepairable but Curt from Tech Rescue saved our photos! We will 100% be coming back! read more

Friendly, quick, and excellent work. I have used Curt's business twice. Both times for an iPhone rescue. I highly recommend. My IT consultant uses TechRescue a lot for iMac and tablet repair. Thanks, Curt! read more

Tech Rescue (IPhone Curt) reaches a unique level that all service companies should aspire to. My wife and I have had repairs done on IPhone 5, 8 and X as well as laptops. These are bright, knowledgeable and honest people. All repairs were done quickly at very reasonable prices. And the advice is worth the visit (which phones, how to load a new phone, battery life) as is their ability to provide their refurbished phones. We would give six stars if this were possible. read more

My daughter first told me of Tech Rescue after having her iphone repaired. She said the people were friendly and knowledgeable. So, when I needed to have my data transferred from an old computer to a new one, I took them to Tech Rescue. I was not disappointed. My daughter was absolutely right. I got fast, capable service from friendly, Knowledgeable people. I'm writing this review on the new computer and enjoying it tremendously. read more

These guys are awesome! I'll never go anywhere else when I have computer trouble. I had liquid spill damage that was fixed by a different company. After I got my computer back the track pad was acting really weird and needed to be replaced. The other company told me that it would be ~4 days to fix the problem. Being a graduate student, thats a long time without my computer. I went into tech rescue and they were able to diagnose the problem while I waited and had a new parted ordered quickly. When I took my computer back to be repaired, they had everything fixed within 2 hours! They charged me a fair price and every employee I interacted with was awesome. I can't recommend these guys enough! Plus they are local. I'll 100% support a local business over a larger company. read more

They suckkkkkk, spend your money elsewhere. Kurt is extremely rude "I couldn't care less what is wrong with your iPad" were his exact words, when I asked him why they dint know what was wrong with my iPad after keeping it for 4 weeks. read more

Formerly Iphone Curt very knowledgeable and professional highly recommended. Also very competitive prices pretty much the best out there.

Great technicians, and very accommodating. My iPhone needed a new charging port, and I got there later than intended because of bad traffic. They did the repair even though it was close to closing time, and stayed late to finish the job even after running into complications. To top it off, they replaced my screen protector at no charge. read more

I've lived in the Boston area my whole life. I work in Production, and I am also usually rushing around and carefree about my phone. Usually, I crack my screen during the worse possible time. TechRescue is by far the best, most honest, and quick service. I once went to Staples for a screen and had such a terrible experience waiting, only to be given someone that was clearly not trained properly to fix anything. TechRescue will fix your screen (and within reason, anything else), and then tell you what else is going on with your phone without charging you before they speak with you. I have gone there 5+ times in the last 3 years. Its always quick (usually 30-60mins). Always professional. And always on time. And even when they aren't on time, they let you know. True customer service. read more

They do great work quickly and for a reasonable price, I will be happy to recommend TechRescue!!

We gave our iPad to get it fixed. They said they would have an update by the end of the week and kept dodging us for almost 4 weeks saying they couldn't figure what was wrong. When I called them to ask what's wrong, they told me to come and pick it up because they don't know what's wrong and they coudlnt care less. Extremely rude staff. read more
