I was so impressed with the repairs that Valentino did on my iPhone 8. It got smashed on the street (and possibly run over in the 5 minutes it took me to retrieve it), and I didn't think there was a chance I would get my videos back. But he fixed the front and back, and now it's as good as new. I had bought myself a new iPhone, but I'm going to give it to my husband because my old phone is better off than before I dropped it. It did take about 5 days for the repairs, since he had to order parts, but it was well worth it. And the repairs were half the price of the new phone. I also appreciated the text communications in the interim, letting me know that the repair would take a little bit of time, because of the necessary parts, and then letting me know when it was ready. If could give this shop 100 stars I would, but 5 will do. This shop saved the day, taking a horrible stressful situation and making it smooth as butter. 9am: Wakeup to Screen bleed like a curse mark on my Pixel 6, purple and spreading across the bottom left corner, before an event where I have to take transactions, the worst time it could have happened. 10am: I walk into Boston Mobile and am greeted by Valentino, who says they only have one screen in stock, but thinks there may be an issue with it, and doesnt know if it's worth the risk to open my phone. Offers to get the screen overnighted, arrival estimated early the next day. I tell him I'm in a crunch and 2:30pm today is my deadline. His followup proposal: If I pay for my screen repair upfront, I can use one of the iPhones he has as a temporary phone for my event. As long as I don't damage it, he'll take it back no charge. 10:30am: walk out with my sim card in an iPhone 8 and my old phone still in my pocket, with the promise I'll get a call as soon as USPS walks though the door. 3pm: Event comes. My old phones screen is 2/3rds purple, but the temporary iPhone works like a charm. Next day: The screen comes in by 11am but I'm unable to make it in before closing. Valentino says no sweat. 12pm day after: Dropoff my phone. 1pm: Get the call (on temporary iphone) that my phone is ready for pickup. 2pm: Pickup and handoff goes fast, with Valentino resetting the iPhone in front of me, restoring my own phones Sim with a showcase of its working function. read more

I dropped my 6+ year old Android and the keypad stopped working -- which meant I couldn't use it or even turn it off. Valentino told me when he'd be in the shop, was there promptly, and had it back to me a few hours later (I could have waited around but I needed to get to work). My daughter broke the screen of her brand new iPhone 13 pro. Valentino took the phone, gave me few options and after spending time with the phone texted me to let me know that the board was damaged. He tried to get apple to cover for some of cost but to no avail. He gave me the cost of the motherboard and we decided it was not worth it. Astonishingly fast turnaround - I called in to ask about fixing my charge port, on a whim inquired whether they did pickup/dropoff in my area, and they did! All in all it was less than 3 hours from "I call them" to "my phone is fixed and back in my hands", which is just fantastic. The pickup/dropoff service isn't free, but it saved me having to schedule an afternoon to go deal with it, which was well worth the price. (And charging works great now.) read more

Went to the store to get my Samsung Galaxy S10e charging port fixed - the phone would refuse to charge properly. I contacted them before going through Yelp and they were very fast with responding. Communication was timely, consistent, and always helpful. He took great care to advise me that the fingerprint sensor on my phone may not work as well as it previously did after the replacement so I knew just what I was getting into. When I went in to get my phone repaired, he was as chill and pleasant a guy as you'd ever hope to meet and even gave me a breakfast recommendation so I didn't have to starve while waiting (s/o Bloc Cafe). Beyond all of that, Valentino helped me grapple with the insurance company I use to cover my phone, fielding phone calls from them and providing me with extra documentation to ensure they would honor my claim for reimbursement. Most importantly, my phone looks good as new (and the fingerprint sensor is working just fine). As long as I live in this area, this is the only place I'll go for phone repairs. read more

My iPhone was on the fritz. The battery would be 100% when I left for a run, and it would die at the end of a run (I'm running for 1/2 hour, not a marathon here). In the past, I've assumed the phone was at the end of its life span, and I've replaced it. But recently I saw a thread on twitter about how this is a common issue, and a simple battery replacement would resolve it (and save me lots of cash). So, I did a quick search of phone repair companies in this area and gave Boston Mobile a shot. The price was average ($50). Somebody with a few reviews charged $30, somebody else with lots of reviews charges $70. I made an appointment, which is definitely the way to go. The store is tight, and you don't want a lot of company in there during a pandemic. They took my phone at my time, and had it back in my hand in less than 30 minutes. Great service. Over the past 48 hours, it's worked like new! I especially like the fact that I have a 30 day warranty on the service, just in case anything funky happens. That's a good piece of mind, considering I didn't bring it to the Apple Store. I'm recommending that my wife bring her phone here, and I would use this store again. read more

I picked this business because they offered me the best price to repair my iPhone 13 back and front screen repair. I made an appointment to go in the next day, but had to cancel because I wasn't feeling well. Valentino replied to my email immediately, and over the next five days he continued to respond as I sent emails canceling my appointment every day because I wasn't feeling any better. Finally, he told me not to stress about it because I could come in anytime and that I should relax and get better. It was such a kind gesture from someone I did not know at all. Today, I asked if I could cancel my order because I didn't think I'd be able to come in for a while. His response was to drive to my house, pick up the phone, do the repairs, and bring it back to me. Charged me $130 for labor when I cancelled a repair before they even started. Long story short I spilt coffee on my laptop, 2 charging ports were damaged and I messaged them asking for a quote ($182.06) for labor and a new charging port ($130/$49 + tax) I drop the laptop off, get a call in under 2hrs saying I need a new motherboard ($700 fix) and I declined since that's 1/2 of the price of a new laptop. Now I am left with a $50 refund for the parts and they're charging $130 for the diagnosis read more

I thought I cracked my iPhone screen for the first time in 11 years of owning them and brought it in to ask Valentino if I need to replace the whole screen, see if there was anything more I could to better protect my phone, etc. He took a closer look and to my pleasant surprise, said the crack didn't penetrate the screen protector after all! He confirmed the Otter box I had was the best, no need to try anything else. I only needed to replace the screen protector for about $30, rather than the $199+ it may have cost had the screen been broken. He replaced it in about 2 minutes.
