I could also pay and tip online. Their contact consulted with me throughout the service to ensure the tv would be where I wanted it, and he was careful to put down protective cloth so that they wouldn't leave a mess. He worked pretty quickly, neatly, and ensured I was good with the service before he left. They also provided a cord cover for the tv cable without an extra charge. Overall, it took about 30 mins. It was a little pricey, but I knew that beforehand and chose them because they had good reviews! Would definitely recommend.

Several years ago, I invested nearly $8K in a home security system and home theater installation. Recently, with a business trip coming up in two weeks, I discovered my security cameras were offline...a recurring issue since installation. Although I've always been willing to pay their $100-$150 service fee to get their cameras back working, this time the experience was unacceptable. The representative I spoke with was not only rude but extremely unprofessional, repeatedly lying about submitting my "urgent" service request. Despite following up for three days straight, I received no response. She even went so far as to hang up on me after I introduced myself, only to avoid answering when I immediately called back. Her behavior was erratic and unacceptable, so I asked her to have the owner return my call. I finally received a call back from the owner, Eric, who accused me of being rude to his staff and refused to service the cameras he had installed. Instead of acknowledging my years of business with them as an easy going, paying customer, he dismissed me outright and told me to find someone else. As a result, I was forced to leave my home unsecured for weeks until I was able to find a new technician who installed a more reliable system that hasn't had a single issue since. I regret trusting Eric and his team to handle the job. I strongly caution anyone considering this company. They will happily take your money, but they do not value their customers or stand behind their equipment or work.

Working with Angel and the crew was a fantastic experience. Completely exceeded my expectations. I am the guy who small businesses like SD&I dread. I research online reviews and try to test product to the point I become paralyzed with indecision. I talk myself into and out of multiple different options and designs. Throughout my process, Angel was patient with me, appropriately consultative, and helped me get to the outcome he knew I wanted even before I could see it. When my wife and I decided to finish our basement, we had an opportunity to wire the basement and main floor of our house with a clean and integrated look. As much as possible, we wanted all wires hidden behind walls and clunky equipment concealed. For the living room Angel recommended a 2.1 system with capability to drive the subtle and nuanced sound from a turntable as well as the booming explosions from a 4K action flick. In the basement, we went with a 5.1 system that also balanced musicality with the power for a dramatic viewing experience. As required, the wiring was concealed and tucked away for a supremely clean and tight appearance. Throughout the design, product selection, and installation process, Angel was there to guide things along. He consulted, recommended, and sold me various pieces, but integrated existing product I had on hand as well as the Anthem MRX 520 receiver I insisted upon getting brand new for the living room. Attention to detail was exceptional -- although my existing speakers required bi-wired connections, the new speakers I purchased did not, and Angel and his crew nailed the installation perfectly. Attention to detail was also reflected in the recommendations for speaker cable featuring great access and prices to very nice Audioquest speaker and HDMI cables. I'm so glad he convinced me to go with the JL Audio Gotham Subwoofer -- I knew it would shake the house during movies, but I didn't realize it had the subtlety to enhance a John Coltraine's, A Love Supreme on vinyl. Testing out the final product was the best part of the process. Angel and his crew spent a while with me dialing in the room correction software and receiver adjustment process. My musical taste is a bit eccentric and I think the guys from SD&I were a bit underwhelmed with the initial test tracks I selected. When I finally played Keep Your Name by Dirty Projectors, the house came down... This review is way overdue, but Angel, his wife, and the crew at SD&I deserve it. Whether you're completely new to the world of AV and just want a proper hookup for a new TV & speakers/soundbar or you're a moderate hobbyist like me, and want to geek out over sound or picture, Angel and SD&I will have you covered. I assumed the monitored fire and smoke alarm may cost something because they would not tell me how much it costs on the phone. I set up for the technician to come out. He informed me that the equipment was not free like I was told. It would be just over 2,500 dollars and that was after I was given a 600-dollar credit. So, in total my system would cost a bit over 3,100-dollars. I asked for another option and after trimming back the system that he designed it came to around 1,000-dollars. I am so happy that I had the foresight to not sign the contract before the technician came out or I would be stuck with a huge bill that I was not expecting. My advice would be to get a clear and detailed list of what will be installed and how much it will be before signing any contract with ADT.

After spending almost 3 hours unsuccessfully trying to connect various components and speakers and screwing up the soundbar connected to my smart TV, Mohammed left with a promise to return the next day to fix the problems he had caused and complete the job. That was more than a week ago. Since then he has completely failed to respond to any of my emails, text messages or voicemails. Fortunately, I was able to hire another company, Aura Smart Spaces, to fix the mess that Mr. Khan had created and left me with. They were able to straighten out all of the problems he caused and properly connect all of my components in about 2 hours and for a much more reasonable price. Because of his incompetence and his complete ghosting of me when I tried to get him to complete the job as promised, I would never hire or recommend Khan Design to anyone.
