This was my first trip to Moon Valley nursery. First of all, it is amazingly beautiful and huge! As I was walking in, AJ offered to help me find what I was looking for. He grabbed a cart and off we went. He loaded up four 5 gallon plants, checked me out and put them in my car with plastic underneath. He also went above and beyond to explain how to plant and take care of them. Then he went the extra mile to introduce me to Sami, because I was interested in some indoor plants as well. She was just as helpful and professional. I really cannot recommend this place any higher! read more

Blake and his crew consisting of Jaime, Chicho, Jose, and (excuse me for forgetting the fourth name of the good crew member) arrived on time on May 15th at my home as scheduled. They were very courteous. Working hard and professionally they plated two Moon Valley trees in my yard - a Lisbon Lemon, and a Bearss Lime tree. A second supervisor (Scott) arrived on scene also. Scott is very knowledgeable and also insured the job was going well. Scott too is very knowledgeable and a very professional and kind person. Thank you Moon Valley for my trees and professional planting of them. Thank you for the exceptional workers you employ at the Surprise, AZ location. I also want to point out the exceptional help of Cody and Cam for helping me so much in choosing my trees and all the rest of their time and support in making this big yard project to happen and be successful. read more

Andy Klein is VERY knowledgeable about all things plants! He takes such good care of us and our plants. Today, Joey DeSilva and his team (thank you!) came out and replaced a couple new plants that didn't survive the summer. All is good now :) Very happy with this company, the people, and the service provided. Glad I chose Moon Valley for my landscaping - I've never regretted it. read more

Great job!!! Rick Chavez and Brandon came out and got everything planted today... The yard looks fantastic! I love the fact that even though Rick is the sales guy... I've been using Moon Valley Nursery on Tatum Blvd & Bell Road for the last 18 years and I have planted well over 60 trees on my property. Their work has been excellent. This last planting, I purchased another Jacaranda tree and two fruit trees. Brett, the crew supervisor, managed the planting exceptionally well and was fully involved, ensuring the crew met all my expectations and didn't spare any details. The crew cleaned-up the yard of all debris and created well-manicured and tidy 'wells' around the trees. I could not have been more satisfied with their work. read more

'Just returned from my first visit to Moon Valley Nursery (Tatum location) and was pleasantly surprised by this obscure, colorful desert oasis. I found this location to be very clean, well stocked and with a simple laid out parking lot. Additionally, the grounds are designed in a enticing manner whereas causing you to want to see what's around every corner. As for assistance, there was no shortage of knowledgeable help. I had the pleasure of speaking with "Bryce" who was able to answer all my questions with ease; as if he lives and breathes gardening...a welcome change from chain box stores experiences. So glad to know this place is right up the street. When any of my future gardening needs arise I'll be sure to have Tatum Moon Valley Nursery as my first stop. read more

Working with Moon Valley was a real pleasure. We met with Jon Hanna at their Tatum location and arranged an on site consultation at our home. We could not be happier. He came up with a plan to completely redo our existing landscaping. After agreeing to the project we found Moon Valley to be prompt and professional in all aspects. They arrived on time, did what was to be done, and left our yard in perfect condition. All of the crews (removal, stump grind and installation) were polite, thorough and professional. We particularly enjoyed working with Brandon Vasquez and John Markel during the planting phase. They were careful to explain everything being done as the project moved forward. Thank you Moon Valley for taking care of us and exceeding our expectations. read more

I stopped in to replace 4 plants that didn't make it through last summer's heat, 2 Gardenias & 2 Grass Purple Fountain. I was greeted by Kaelan Conley. I told him what I needed/wanted. We discussed planting/delivery options. Lucky for me he knows his business! He got me all set up with the plants & flowers that I was looking for, delivery & planting. He walked me to my car, found out we are both Mustang lovers, and had a great car discussion. Going to Moon Valley Nurseries is better than going to Buc-ee's... they are always so welcoming! I love walking the property to explore the variety of plants that they offer to help get ideas building out our landscaping. I was recently greeted by James Sirbeck, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the Moon Juice fertilizer I was picking up to take care of the hybrid palm trees that I purchased from them last May. While I did also purchase the annual care plan from them, I had some additional questions, which James was patiently and took the time to explain it read more

Moon Valley Nurseries - An example Christmas tree but so cute! - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I am an experienced gardener and have spent a tremendous amount of time and money at nurseries over the years. But my experience at Moon Nursery was like no other from the very beginning. Unlike most nurseries, I was relieved to find a helpful, cheerful and professional, person, William B, waiting for me at the entrance of Moon Nursery. I was prepared, had my HOA approved list trees with me, gave it to William and off we went. If not for William I would have been wondering around Moon Nursery in the heat for hours looking for the allowed tree's. William also recruited his Manager, Dillion, when we had questions that went beyond his knowledge. We were delighted that we were able to quickly select trees that were allowed, beautiful and large in size! A few weeks later Moon installed our trees. The install team was efficient and professional!! We were so happy with our first experience with Moon that we went back for round two! Purchased 11 more trees! With this round of trees William and Dillion took the time to perform an on site visit to ensure a well organized install and that trees were placed in appropriate locations. The trees were so large they had to be craned in. Moon worked seamlessly with our HOA. The street outside our home had to be blocked off for the crane install. Moon provided safe traffic control for over 2 hours for the install. Again, the install crew was amazing! The whole Moon experience was impressive!! Not to mention their guarantee, which should be an industry standard! I would highly recommend Moon Nursery. They have the best selection, professional staff and provide a seamless experience from the time you arrive to beyond installation. read more

Jon Hanna was absolutely rude when I called to get a price on some hedging trees. He basically immediately wanted to design for me when all I wanted was pricing. Moon Valley Nurseries is great. I lost a very mature Palo Verde tree in the last severe storm in Scottsdale this past month. I called Ryan Olson and he helped me pick out a beautiful matrue Palo Verde replacement. The installtion crew came yesterday and did a bang up job planting the new tree with little to no mess at all. Brett and his crew including Nate (Equipment Operator) were very clean and professional. They answered all my questions and gave me good advise on the tree care needed in the next few months. Cannot say much good about this company. We have hired Moon Valley Nurseries to plant plants in our back yard which should have been an easy project; however, has been a disaster from the communication of the company to the plants planted. When the company initially came to plant the 15 plants in the backyard the customer service was terrible. The guy in charge of the plant that day was not customer friendly and rude. They came to plant the plants in less then 30 minutes, planted dead plants, didn't take out some of the dead plants where they were replacing new ones, didn't plant all of the plants, went into my garage without permission and dropped off the moon juice without communication of doing so. After about a week, 75% of the plants died. Moon Valley Nurseries still had not reached out to schedule when they were going to plant the 3 plants that they forgot. Upon many attempts to contact the company, someone reached out to us about 2 weeks later apologizing for the bad customer service and they would be out to plant the plants that still needed to be planted and replace the ones that died under the 90 day warranty. Fast forward to a week later when they came to plant......they only brought and planted the plants that still need to be planted and NOT THE DEAD ONES!! I am now currently in the same position where nobody has reached out to schedule a time yet again to come out and re plant the dying plants. TERRIBLE! I was hoping to use this company for my front yard, but will definitely not be using this company. I do not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Thank you so much, Rusty for your help last weekend at the nursery. It was so great to have a knowledgeable plant guy walk around the nursery with me and show me the plants that would work in my yard (TWO DAYS IN A ROW!) Thank you for listening to my wants and explaining what would work best in my yard. Other special thanks to both Rusty and Ryan for scheduling my tree planting just 3 days after purchasing my fruitless olive tree! It's so cute and it's exactly what I wanted. Oscar and his team arrive first thing on Thursday morning and had the tree planted in about 20 minutes! Oscar took the time to talk me through caring for the plant to ensure I knew what to do before he and his guys (and big truck) left. Super impressed with Moon Nursery. Thanks for hooking it up and extending your Memorial Day sale to us so we could get more plants and more Moon Juice. I'm so excited for our yard to fill in with all the beautiful plants you've grown. Our sweet peas, fountain grass, sage, pineapple guava, and Arabian lilacs are excited to be here. You guys are great and I loved spending time with you and with all plants at your nursery. Thanks for growing healthy plants. And, super special thanks for all the golf cart rides. Fun times! read more
