    Beef fried rice
    Rhina M.

fried rice 4/5; pad Thai 3/5, summer rolls 4/5, satay 3.5/5 The food was averaging 3.6. There's plenty of room for improvement. The summer rolls only had 1 shrimp on top but the sauce did complement the rolls. The pad Thai was a bit too sweet and pungent smell of fish sauce. The skewers were ok. I will come back to try other dishes. The service was ok. The ambiance was very clean although was too hot inside.

The service was super fast and efficient, making a seamless dining experience. The food was both filling and delicious, we ordered Pad Thai with prawns, green beans with garlic and butter (you need to order rice separately for that, and gyozas as appetizers. It all came out quite fast and was delicious. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite chilled and cozy. Located in a vibrant area filled with shops and restaurants, finding parking can be a bit limited on the streets nearby. However, there are a few not expensive parking structure close by.

Great location for lunch in the Pasadena area! It's super convenient for me and my co workers and we usually come here when we are hankering for a sit down meal of Thai food. Plus, if you come during lunch during thier happy hour, you get a free egg roll and drink with your entree purchase! Thier Thai tea and green Thai tea are both very sweet, so you might want to ask for less sweetener, but I like it, so no changes for me there! I have been coming here a few years, hands down my favorite curry of thiers is the ruby curry, thier portion decent that I sometimes can't finish it. I like more sweet curries, and this one hits all the right spots! There's plenty of vegetables and bell peppers with the cheaper options of chicken, veggie, tofu and then also beef and shrimp for an uncharge. Service is friendly and pretty quick, as there usually not too much of a wait for everyone in our party to get thier meals! For about 20$usd (including tax and tip and time of this review) I think is a reasonable price for a sit down meal in Pasadena! Will continue to come here as long as I still find myself in the area wanting Thai food during lunch. There is a large parking structure on Green st (one way steet) and Fairoaks, connected to the same block building as Moom Thai, so pretty easy parking, as you go downstairs of the Green St exit and it's just around the corner!

Stopped here on a whim after the Rose Bowl game. We were walking from the stadium and were so hungry. Being celiac I can pretty much count on Thai food being gluten free. We were lucky and were able to be seated quickly. I could tell the server was very informed about the gluten free options. She was very knowledgeable. I ordered the PANANG curry-nutty curry, pea carrot, bell pepper, basil, green bean with chicken and white rice cost is $17.85 It was super nutty sweet and smooth. The restaurant and bathroom were nice and clean. The service was excellent. Would recommend for gluten free and any one else.

Pad See U, Papaya Salad, Tom Yum Noodle Soup

The food is so good. We ordered papaya salad, pad see u and Tom yum noodle soup. Their Tom yum noodle soup was bomb! Compared to other places it's less sweet, and it has fish cakes in it. I think the flavor is more balanced compared to most of other places I've tried. Pad see u is also super flavorful. And the papaya salad is very fresh. Every dish we ordered came in huge portion size and we were so satisfied

March 2024/Pasadena: Moom 48 Thai was a tasty surprise! Discovered the restaurant after seeing a movie nearby & craving a bite to eat! We stumbled upon this Thai restaurant while walking around! Spicy Eggplant w/Crispy Tofu: Absolutely delicious, incredibly flavorful and just a spicy as I love it! Grateful that my tofu was crispy just like I like it and requested it! Love this dish & would order it again!! I also ordered a side of white rice! Large portions; I had plenty of leftovers! Service With A Smile: Thanks, Audi! We received incredible customer service; highly attentive! Loved the decor of the restaurant, very pretty! Overall: I would easily return to this restaurant when in Pasadena and craving Thai food!!

Delicious food. We had the crab fried rice, spicy chicken fried rice, dumplings, fried tofu, spring rolls, and chicken pad see u. Free drink and egg roll during happy hour. Plenty of food to share family style, we had leftovers. Excellent service. Very clean. Entire experience 10/10. Nearby street parking or plenty of parking in nearby structure on Green Street.

It was a cold night. It was time for some Thai food. No connection to cold nights or even rainy days/nights. Random night really. Haven't stepped into this restaurant which I pass quite frequently. Glad we did. Quenched my thirst with some Thai iced tea which is staple when at a Thai restaurant. Yellow curry was a bit spicy and I wasn't asked about the level of spicy preferred. Honestly didn't think about the spice level until I started to eat it. The flavor was there though with chicken potato and carrot. Enough for 2 meals for me. I had it with brown rice which had rice more grain in it? It was fine. Pad see yu is a favorite and it was yummy with chicken and veg. Leftovers were great the next day. Restaurant is clean. Staff is courteous and quick service. Parking garage around the corner and metered street parking. Will be frequenting this spot.

    Shrimp wonton soup

Everything was fresh and light, not overly salted or sweet, very little spice... also very little flavor. The vegetables and chicken were perfectly cooked. The wine pour was small. We had the shrimp wonton soup, cashew nut stir fry, and pad Thai. The service was solemn and polite. I'm rounding up a star because it was raining tonight... and rain makes some Angelinos sad. You know? I'm not sure we'll be back... but I wouldn't complain if we did. This isn't Thai Town folks.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly empty! The food was really delish and the service was fast.

    Pad See U

Food: Flavor is okay but a little too sweet for our palettes. Pad See U - Probably the biggest sweet culprit here. However, we added in some extra regular soy sauce and that helped level it out. This dish, from my knowledge, is generally made with a sweet soy sauce but I've never had it as sweet as the one here. Prik King - We got it spicy! For the average person, it might be spicy but there wasn't any kick for me. Again, flavor is on the sweeter side but not as bad as the pad see u. It has a nice spice taste to it without the kick. My mom and sister thought it was spicy though, so everyone will be different. Chow Mein - Usually not a sweet dish at all but again, Moom 48 gave it some sweetness but thankfully not as much as the previous two dishes. Based off of my sister's opinion since I'm vegetarian: Moo Ping - Sweet. We are starting to sound like a broken record but this is just the profile we got from a majority of our dishes. The saving grace of the moo ping was the tangy and spicy sauce it came with. My sister said it helped a lot and brought a brightness that was much needed to the dish. Wings - Flavor was good and it was my sister's favorite. Really nice and crunchy. Service: Friendly and hospitable. We didn't interact with them too much but they seemed nice. Ambiance: Clean and nice. Modern feel with brick and wood paneled walls and black chairs/booths. I'm not going to give up on this place just yet, would come back to give this place another try. Next time, we'll just be sure to ask them to make the food less sweet.

No one was playing anything on their cell phone speakers, which is something that I will leave a restaurant for immediately now. I think restaurants should be mindful of the atmosphere for their guests. The menu was fairly broad, lots of choices of things that were vegetarian. But there was a real lack of dumplings, which the place is named for that didn't contain beef or pork. There was really only one chicken choice, and one veggie. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles which were really good, but the serving size was skimpy. We also ordered the chicken soup dumplings which were very good and the shrimp wontons also really good in a chili oil and soy sauce. The Szechuan spicy chicken was uninspired. Deep fried nuggets of chicken with some szechuan chili powder sprinkled on them. I wouldn't order it again. The scallion pancakes were also good, but were not served with any kind of sauce. Perhaps this is authentic, but I'm used to them having hoisin sauce on the side. Service was attentive and fast. Everything arrived quickly and was hot and well prepared. I would definitely return and try some new things.

We pointed out some allergies to the staff and he helped us work around it. The orders came out quickly and he checked in on us frequently to see if we were okay. Great service! Bakka Wild Salmon - This salmon had a lot of things going on for it, in a good way! The combination of flavors felt very refreshing, especially on a hot day. The lime and basil played a big part there. Crispy Short Rib with Lime - Even initially before coming here, this was the dish that caught our attention. I will admit the portion size was a bit smaller than I expected and was even skeptical when it came out. However, without a doubt, this was the highlight of the visit. As someone that loves savory foods, this really hit the spot. The burst of flavors settles in right away. Truffle Wok Seared Noodles - We wanted to pick this noodle dish as a balance to the protein dishes. It did its job but it tasted okay. Not something that stood out. Slow-Drip Vietnam Coffee Flan - I liked the caramel that was layered on the flan, it was crunchy and added a nice texture. It was a nice presentation but tasted okay. Thai Tea - This was my personal drink. It was a standard Thai tea but came with ice cream on top. It was not too sweet but didn't stand out compared to other items. Strawberry Pandan Lemonade - This was my girlfriend's drink. I had a small sip here but found it was refreshing and not too sweet. However, I didn't really get any pandan flavor, mainly strawberry. When it all comes together, it was a good experience. The interior of the story is more dimly lit and felt like a romantic night dinner, despite being the middle of the day. The dishes had a balance of standard and hidden gems. Everything was more than sufficient for two people to share. Service was great and very attentive. Will come back for the Crispy Short Ribs! Appetizers: Their famous ravioli: had very creamy sauce over 4 wobton skin ravioli with plump shrimp inside topped with shiitake mushrooms on top. It's a mini meal in itself! Also tried their grilled octopus, cooked perfectly with a nice crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Raspberry sauce and orange custard was so unique and tasty 5/5 Both Hubs and Bro ordered the Mary's chicken and absolutely loved it. Well seasoned and garnished well. Filet was perfect cooked and seasoned even for an 8 yr old to finish on his own. DD ordered the salmon. It was so tender and fork soft. Her broccoli was so full of flavor and not overly creamy. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

We ordered the following items: - deviled eggs - garlic bread - butternut squash soup - shrimp pesto pasta - spinach pasta with chicken. The food was really cooked well but a bit saucy for me. I would definitely come back.
