I told my kids I'd already reviewed Moo Moo Cows Farm Dairy Creamery, but then I realized I hadn't, so now I need to remedy this wrong. They thought the ice cream was so good that they checked up on me writing this. Pardon my delay. We stopped by on a whim heading out of town after meeting up with friends. The kids had handled the adults visiting so well I wanted to reward them. Moo Moo Cows was a winner! The owners were incredibly courteous and engaging. Gave us space to peruse the offerings and sample some before making a decision. Even with other customers coming in, there was no sense of rush. Everyone got some ice cream in reasonable time. We heard a bit about where the ice cream is produced in Lancaster County, PA, in small batches from a herd of 1700 mostly Holsteins and some Jersey cows. And the ice cream...SO flavorful. After only a couple bites, the kids were sold. They taste tested everyone's choices and we all agreed each flavor was divine. That rarely happens. We can be critical of ice cream shops. When it costs close to $5.00 or more for a single serving, the ice cream (custard or gelato) better be worthy of the investment. While the ice cream was okay, the service was definitely not great. I have never tried a food item that was flavored as Black Raspberry before, so I asked one of the service people, Will. I asked him if he could describe it, and all he said was Black Raspberry. Then, I asked what exactly it was and I got the exact same answer. He refused to expand, and my friend tried to help by asking "How would you describe it to someone who has never had the flavor?" and again, all he said was "Black Raspberry" in quite a rude and clipped tone. I understand receiving a question asking to describe something, as I have worked in food customer service a lot. However, after trying the flavor, it really isn't that hard to describe. This was probably the least he could have said: "It's a creamy mix between raspberry and blackberry." I know I am only one person, but I will not be coming back here. read more

I absolutely love it here! I came for the first time at the start of summer because the line forB'More Licks was just way too long. And oh how I am glad I did. This place makes you feel like you are at home as soon as you walk through the door, you see the same faces with smiles behind the counter as they make your food and hand it to you this place has super affordable specials every day I like that they have ice cream snowballs and food so you can get a little bit of everything for your summer day. It's kind of tight on the inside but it's really Homie with old tables and chairs like it's from a 1950s diner. So far I've had there's snowballs with marshmallow topping the hotdog, combos, and the bratwurst combos the bratwurst have been my favorite in the area so far make sure you stop by and get some of the good food and some ice cream. read more

Tried this local Fed Hill ice cream shop and I highly recommend as a stop after dinner or just to cool down. They have a fun cow centric vibe and use very creamy milk from a local farm. They have daily specials and we tried their fudge sundae which was a very reasonable $6 and comes with a freshly baked fudgy brownie and free toppings! They also have snoballs but I didn't get a chance to try those. Their menu is very clearly labeled and helpful for those with food allergies/restrictions and even have a kosher distinction! They are across the street from B'more licks and don't have as many flavors but I think their ice cream quality is just as good if not better. read more

The staff was so nice and greeted me immediately upon entry and enthusiastically explained all their different flavors / specials. I happened to go on Waffle Cone Wednesday which is 2 scoops of ice cream & a waffle cone for $5. I'm not a big cone person, I normally get a cup because cones are messy and not that good ~usually~. But since it was a special I got the waffle cone AND IT WAS SO GOOD! It actually tasted like a Belgian waffle lol. And of course the ice cream is also very very very good. Well, it did not disappoint. Our group of four ordered one sundae and three cones, all in different flavors, and not a single flavor was bad. In fact, most of them were probably the best instances of those flavors that we had ever tasted. We especially recommend the espresso ice cream, which is something like a mocha latte in frozen form--it is amazing. The pumpkin ice cream, which is probably a seasonal flavor, was also incredible.
