Their honey graham flavor is so unique and delicious. It has this perfect sweet, toasty flavor that I haven't really found anywhere else.
It had been awhile since I had some ice cream from Taharka Brothers, so when I went to R. House I knew this was a perfect opportunity. I usually get the "Honey Graham", but I saw that they now have "Salted Honey Graham" too and I decided to try it. The service was very fast and friendly. Soon as I tried it, I knew I made a great choice. I'll definitely be back!
Amazing texture and flavors! Had the honey graham single scoop in a cup for dessert after dinner at R House and was blown away. The crushed graham cracker adds another dimension to the ice cream. Excited to try more flavors! They have four size options (kids, single, double, triple).
The Taharka brothers ice cream truck was parked right outside Peabody brewery during the hot sauce festival and I had to stop by! I got one scoop of the Tupac flavor which is vanilla with blackberry jam and graham cracker crumbles. It was a little heavy on the jam and I would've liked more vanilla but regardless it was very delicious! My friends tried coffee Oreo which was also wonderful. Service was great and I would definitely stop by again to try their other unique flavors. Roasted strawberry sounds divine
I recently went to the Taharka Brothers location at R House on a weekend and absolutely loved their ice cream! Surprisingly for a weekend, their stand was sporadically staffed, with the person behind the counter staying for five minutes maximum at a time and frequently leaving for 10-15 minutes, leaving the stand unattended. I got the caramel crunch ice cream, which was rich, creamy, full of caramel flavor and lots of crispy, crackly, chocolate covered chunks. Although a bit pricey, the portion size was excellent for the price. I would highly recommend Taharka Brothers the next time you are in Baltimore!
Recent visit to R House. Went for food had to get ice cream. The customer service was great! Numerous flavors! The size look small, but she gave me a big scoops. The ice cream itself was delicious! I will be returning!
I've yet to try a flavor I didn't love. Even their Summer 2022 corn on the bay flavor was a hit! But I'm a Marylander and I'll die on a hill for a sprinkle of old bay on anything. I love their ownership model and the fact that you can easily find them in the county now. We use to have to travel to the city for new flavors. My favorite? Honey graham all day. I'd put their flavors against any mainstream brand. Stay forever!
Couldn't have been happier with my experience because in addition to the great ice cream, the young man working at Taharka that day, Jamal (I think that's what he told me), understood the assignment. I saw banana pudding ice cream and wanted it IMMEDIATELY. BUT I also wanted nuts in it. I know places like Taharka don't usually do toppings, but I asked Jamal and he said they did have some nuts. I told him I wanted the ice cream and nuts in a cup, but also wanted a waffle cone. He didn't say "Bet!" but I could see him thinking it, lol. He ended up putting a layer of nuts at the bottom of the cup, then a layer of ice cream, then another layer of nuts and another of ice cream. Then he perched the waffle cone on top! I thanked him profusely for making my dreams come true and paid. I settled in to eat that masterpiece and it was so very good! Perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon at Lexington Market!

My first experience with Taharka Brothers (which I've heard wonderful things about) was great! I went to their truck at First Thursday at Canton Waterfront Park. It was toward the end of the night and they still had plenty of flavors left which was impressive as they consistently had a long line. The staff was aware of which ice cream flavors were gluten free (which I always appreciate), and I ended up choosing the non-dairy strawberry. I was SO surprised how creamy and rich it was in the best ways! My friends got key lime pie, and cookies and cream (photos attached of all). I've seen their truck around town at other events and can't wait to return.
Exceptional ice cream, excellent professionals, compassionate, community-invested, giving business owners, and alert but patient clerks who are cordial, efficient, and helpful!! I talked to Mr. Dietrik, an owner, and found him to be as straightforward and upstanding as his fine ice cream and all its awesome flavors!!! We will be using Taharka for our school festivals bc the ice cream tastes out of this world - so dreamy and creamy - and the Company is one to support when looking to make conscientious purchases of fantastic fare! Delicious! This place beats all other ice cream and dessert shops! Go here!!! So glad I stumbled into this place located in R Market on Remington and 29th!!! Christ bless all of Taharka and Christ bless us all! Amen Christ bless Taharka and us all! Amen

I don't think I could ever get enough of Taharka! The one thing that I have found which is inconsistent and a little frustrating is for some reason their honey graham sometimes has an aftertaste. I typically always ask to taste or sample it so that I can figure out if I want it as one of my two choices. I recently discovered, the pint didn't have an aftertaste and I was so curious why! Maybe it's the box the big gallon is stored in possibly. Sounds like I need to do some more research! I don't mind at all read more

Fantastic ice cream! I don't have a treatise to write on the subject. The honey graham ice cream is among my favorite ice creams of all time. Try it. Or try something else because it's all good. The staff was quick, courteous and made me feel welcome as we scanned over their offerings like we were working on the SATs. Visit them! (Also they're Black-owned which is always a plus in my book.) read more

Ok yall...so I'm totally blaming and calling out Baltimore CM Stephanie T. for this. I saw her review of her Taharka Brothers order and me, being the ice cream lover that I am, toyed with the idea of placing an order. First it began with me placing items in my cart, imagining the possibilities but then I'd close out the order before actually going through with it. I mean really...what would I do with a whole 8 pints of ice cream?!?! Then as fate would have it, Taharka Brothers had a sale where you could get $10 off your order and that's all it took. This is not a drill! I went through with the order. Now let me be clear, TB does offer a box of four pints but honestly, you save more money by getting eight, especially if a discount is involved. Delivery went well. They text you to make sure you're home to accept delivery and then text again when they are a few minutes away. I did have one problem with my delivery though. There was a mix-up with my order and I didn't receive two of the pints that I ordered. I contacted customer service and they were able to rectify the situation by bringing me the items I did order on the next delivery date. And guess what yall? They let me keep the two pints I didn't order! So now your girl ends up with 10 pints of ice cream! Let me break down what I got... Olive Oil & Sea Salt: This is a seasonal flavor and tastes exactly like olive oil and sea salt but still has some sweetness. This was a wild card for me but I really enjoyed this flavor. Earl Grey & Honey: Another seasonal flavor. Has a tea flavor to it with some sweetness. The flavors balance really well. Caramel Snickerdoodle Sando: Seasonal flavor again. The ice cream is a salted caramel base with pieces of snickerdoodle cookies laced throughout. Yum! Yum! Yum! Coffee Oreo: This is one I did not order because I don't really care for coffee but this ice cream had a strong coffee flavor and oreo cookies in it. I guess the combo of coffee with chocolate cookies is similar to sipping a mocha. Pretty good but not my favorite because as I mentioned before, not crazy for coffee Roasted Strawberry: Forget what you knew of any other strawberry ice cream! This strawberry flavor is intense and really smacks you in the face. It's sweet, a little tart, and tastes exactly like real strawberries. Caramel Crunch: This was one of my favorites. Salted caramel ice cream with chocolate covered honeycomb toffee. I usually stay away from toffee because I don't like how it usually sticks to my teeth but this honeycomb toffee is light and airy. No uncomfortable sticking to teeth here. I received two of these in error when I was only supposed to get one. No complaints here! Golden Milk: This was a dairy-free flavor. It has a coconut milk base and tastes exactly like the popular turmeric laden drink. Key Lime Pie: Another one of my favorites and a popular TB flavor. Key lime pie is one of my favorite desserts in general and it was nice to have that in ice cream form. It's tart and sweet with yummy graham cracker swirl throughout. Honey Graham: Another fave of mine and probably Taharka Brothers' most popular flavor. Honey graham ice cream with graham cracker swirl. It was damn delicious I must say. All of Taharka Brothers' ice cream have a nice creamy consistency and just filled me with joy with each bite. Would I do it all over again? Hell yeah! My birthday is coming up in April and this will definitely be a gift to myself. read more

Well I don't know about the factory itself, but this ice cream tho!!!!!!! It is the perfect blend of cream and whatever else makes ice cream...lol...because it doesn't get rock hard. Therefore, it's the perfect ice cream to make ice cream sando's with!!! I've tried the honey graham (lived up to the hype!) and the caramel crunch (also divine). Excited to try the peanut butter cup this weekend since they are my fav!! I bought pints from a local corner store near my house, which made me feel like I was doubly supporting local! read more

Some of my favorite ice cream! The caramel crunch is my favorite. Black owned, socially powered company makes ice cream eating feel really guilt free. The stand in R. House is small and off in the cut, nothing fancy and perhaps wouldn't stand out---- but it is so good. I enjoy the cookies and cream as well. People love the honey graham, but I am not a fan. I recommend to check out one of their locations (here Broadway market, or Cross street Market) or their delivery options that are available read more

I did a fundraiser and I wasn't impressed. I got 8 pints of ice cream and 2 came frozen burnt! Out of the 8 flavors Banana Pudding, Caramel Crunch, Red Velvet, Keep Ya Head up, Honey Salted Ghram a couple were doubles the flavors were just ok nothing wow! Will not do this again! read more

After having lunch at R. House last weekend, I got a tiny cup of ice cream from Taharka Brothers for the walk back to Hampden. I picked Mintflix & Chillz (peppermint ice cream with homemade peppermint patties & chocolate cookie crumb swirl), which was delicious and refreshing (perfect for that walk home to Hampden). I love that they offer tiny kid cups/cones, because I love ice cream, but I usually don't want very much! A delightful little treat on a hot day. It's a small stand at R. House, but it offered all the flavors. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and in need of an ice cream treat. Love that Baltimore has so many local ice cream options! read more

Taharka Brothers has done it again, yall! Another eight pints have been ordered, delivered and practically eaten through in my household LOL. They recently rolled out a new ooey gooey red velvet flavor for Valentine's Day and I knew that it would be the perfect gift for my TB-obsessed boyfriend, who is also absolutely obsessed with red velvet. Easiest sell ever. Unfortunately, it snowed when my delivery was scheduled, so we got it post Valentine's Day, but hey sh!t happens and I totally understood. They were clear and communicative about it via text, like my previous experience. I really liked this limited red velvet flavor, with cake bits in it (see pic), but was hoping for bigger/sturdier cake bites like how their graham cracker swirl is. (Actually, can you imagine cheesecake throughout this?!) Anyways, key lime and honey graham continue to be their best flavors. No debate! read more
I've ordered Taharka Brothers delivery a few times now and am definitely a fan! So you need to order in multiples of 8 pints and the first two times I ordered, I asked around to see if any friends wanted to split. After being in a pandemic for a while though, I decided 8 pints for my own household was fine. You can pick and choose from a variety of flavors. The first time I ordered, the ice cream was melty by the time it was delivered but this was fixed by putting it in the freezer. I think since then they've improved their logistics and haven't had a problem since. The texture is rich and creamy. My favorite flavor is their Mintflix & Chill but I got a good assortment this time around, along with some new flavors that I'm excited to try! It's easy to order online - plug in your address to see if you're within the delivery radius, then choose your flavors! Select your preferred delivery window. You receive text status updates and all of the employees are super friendly. This most recent delivery, they sold out of one of the flavors I requested so they gave me a call head of time and asked what I wanted to swap it with. The box that the ice cream comes in is super cute too! read more

I visited here a few weeks ago and I'm so mad I forgot the name of the guy who helped me. (Tee maybe) Regardless this ice cream was the best and reasonably priced. He suggested all his favorites and really ensured that I was going to leave a loyal customer. Super creamy, unique flavors, priced reasonably, and great customer service. Forgive me for forgetting your name but I really appreciated the service you gave me! I've pick up a pint since! If I ever visit R House again this will definitely be my first choice. read more
