I love Sydney's Ice Creams! I've sent my husband multiple times to get ice cream from them but finally went on national ice cream day to get some. I got key lime, key lime tres leches, and strawberry cheesecake. Everything looked so good in the case and she herself was a fantastic person. She is very open to new flavor ideas and I appreciate business owners wanting honest feedback. You knock on the door or ring the bell to have someone let you in. It's a small space but it's cute and she told me they do private parties on the patio, so I may book one in the future. I love the bright colors and her staff is just as nice as she is. They have vegan flavors and flavors that aren't all about chocolate, so I love the variety. You're free to taste any flavor that is available. They sell by the pints as well as scoops. You definitely need to come check out this amazing ice cream shop. Black woman owned and worth every pint you will get. I'll try a milkshake next time.

Please run to this place!!! This ice cream is delicious. Made with fresh ingredients! The owner is so sweet and kind. Very welcoming place! I will be returning. Parking is not bad, plenty of street parking. Great small business!!

Fellow big backingtons... Check out Sydney's Ice Creams sampler tray for $12 and thank me later. This ice cream is so freaking good and the owner is even better. I always receive such sweet customer service when I visit with my family. They have a revolving menu so you'll always be in for a surprise. I love so many of the flavors which makes it kinda hard to choice a favorite flavor. They also have at least one vegan option. Overall, you can go wrong with any of these flavorful, textured ice creams (typically each flavors has some form of chunk in it such as cookies, biscuits, fruit etc). The place is small but it does offer a small space in the front for about 3 people to sit. Otherwise, it's more of a cute carryout/boutique ice cream shop. Parking can be busy on Belair road but I typically find street parking immediately in front of the shop. I highly recommend this business as a specialty dessert shop and small black owned business. P.s. I noticed there was a cute pink truck outside of the shop one day. I think they may be expanding to have a mobile ice cream truck or perhaps a rental for parties/events. Anywho, give them a visit. You won't be disappointed! Also, get the rewards card.

Banana pudding and pineapple upside down was awesome.

Walk up the steps to Great natural homemade flavors. Will be back to try ice cream sandwiches! Tried banana pudding and upside down cake. Ring the doorbell if the door is locked! You can sample flavors and split scoops!

Tuesday 3/25/25 I…read morefound out about this spot on a Reddit post that was mentioning the best desserts in Maryland. I was in Baltimore so I had to go try it. The spot was hard to locate at first until I realized that it's located in the food market. I came for the popular honey graham ice cream but also for my favorite flavor: cookies n cream. Sadly, they didn't have any cookies n cream at the moment, but luckily they did have the honey graham. The service was solid: the worker was nice and I was able to sample four flavors (key lime pie, honey graham, vanilla bean, and chocolate love) without any issue. After sampling the flavors, I decided to get a triple cup of 2x honey graham and 1x vanilla bean. - The honey graham was like that (I see why it's popular). I let my mom sample it, and she enjoyed it so much that she got her own the next day. - The vanilla bean was pretty good and paired well with the honey graham. This spot has some good ice cream that I'd be open to returning for more (hopefully they have cookies n cream next time).

I usually get the "Honey Graham", but I saw that they now have "Salted Honey Graham" too and I decided to try it. The service was very fast and friendly. Even though the temperature was in the low teens with a windchill around zero, GKs all got ice creams. They only issue any of them had was that the gargantuan sizes were still not big enough; taste was that good. Me, I picked up a sfogliatella riccia to enjoy as a post-theater late-night snack. We also picked up a bunch of Italian cookies to take home. We had to hide them so the GK vultures couldn't get to them early. Vacarro's had a great selection even at 6PM. The bakery aroma was fantastic, seating was plentiful, prices were reasonable, and parking (street and for-pay lot) close by. It's a must-stop destination whenever you make it to Little Italy. Arrived in the afternoon during a busy weekend and decided to take out for desserts. My first visit and was underwhelmed by the service received. Rushed and transactional. Packaging was very sloppy and my napoleons were shoved to the side, making the clear clamshells very messy when I arrived home. If only the desserts were saving grace, but was left disappointed as well. As others have mentioned, the pastries do not taste fresh. The ricotta cream in the original cannoli tasted warm and gritty, the shell was stale. I noticed these were sitting out. The puff pastry in the Napoleons were soggy. The cream puffs shell was stale and chocolate topping was super sweet, unfortunately these were far from heavenly. Maybe another day, Vaccaro.

I sampled the key lime ice cream, which had graham cracker crumbles! OMG!!! Delish! Then I was given a sample of the peanut butter cup! It was delightful! Since the order was processed on my card, I'll now have to wait 5-7 business days for the funds to be released, which is frustrating in itself. What made the situation much worse was the customer service. I called the store simply to ask what happened, but before I could even finish my question, the employee interrupted me, said, "We're busy right now," and hung up on me. When I called back to understand why I had been hung up on, I was passed from person to person without anyone taking responsibility. The only explanation I received was, "We're busy and prioritize our in-person customers. Anything else?" I completely understand that restaurants get busy, and I have no issue with a delayed order or even an occasional cancellation if necessary. However, being treated dismissively, interrupted, and hung up on for asking a simple question is unacceptable. Being busy is not an excuse for disrespectful customer service. If your store is unable to fulfill DoorDash orders during busy periods, that's understandable--but don't accept them only to cancel them immediately, leaving customers waiting days for their money to become available again. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way.
