Pepperoni pizza pretzel

10 out of 10. I love this place and I'm so happy they're finally open for this season. Being a girl from Philly this is the closest I can get from a water ice without going back to Philly. I love the flavors of the water ice. I love this stuff and the pizza pretzel was so delicious.

Gelati with pistachio ice and chocolate and vanilla soft serve

Worth the brain freeze! I stopped in here last night after craving some soft serve ice cream. It's a take away spot with a very small interior. It seems to be family run (with who I assumed to be Mom, Dad, and son all working behind the counter? I could be wrong). I normally just get chocolate and vanilla swirl soft serve but I decided to try something new and got the gelati instead. It comes with your choice of ice and your choice of soft serve together in one cup. I got the size small with pistachio ice and chocolate and vanilla soft serve. It was about $6 for a vry generous portion size. I wasn't sure what to think of the pistachio ice but it really grew on me. It's not your typical pistachio flavor but it was still really yummy. The soft serve was sooo delicious as well. Even the vanilla was flavorful on it's own. I finished the whole thing! I'd probably just get soft serve next time since I'm such a fan but the whole thing was really yummy. I definitely plan to return!

On a rough day, nothing can soothe you like a sweet treat! As someone who grew up close to Philly... I LOVE Italian Ice or as we say waddahice! My love said: rough day? Let's go try Tia's and that we did. Great and friendly service. There were so many options, but I'm a firm believer that you have to check on the classics before anything else. These did not disappoint as we roamed the neighborhood with red mouths and big smiles. So excited to go back and try more flavors.

Lovely experience. Omg how do they have Jamaican meat patty's and Italian ice? One of the best combos. Both were amazing. The italian ice was very flavorful and did not melt too fast in this 100 degree weather. The Jamaican meat patty had the perfect consistency. I'm definitely coming back. This place is in the perfect spot. They are very friendly and the service was excellent. The decor was simple. There is a little bench in there if you would like to have a seat. And a bit more seating in the window. I'm always coming back here.

We have been enjoying a weekly treat at Tia's for a few months. The owners are great and are always friendly. Even when the line is long, it moves fast. I always get a gelati with mango, peach and tangerine Italian ice. It reminds me of an orange creamsicle. My partner mixes different flavors every week and I always taste his concoction. I've enjoyed every flavor except for pistachio and coconut. It's Hampden so parking is always interesting. We have never had to park extremely far but we usually go during the week.

Absolutely delicious! My daughter and I stopped by for a yummy treat on one of the hottest days of the summer and Tia's didn't disappoint. We will definitely return

The best Italian ice I've ever had! It was delicious! I had a blue raspberry ice with vanilla soft serve. They also serve pretzels and Jamaican beef Pattie's. The place is black owned and the customer service was amazing I can't wait to visit again. Rita's who?? Lol

LOVE IT!! I was thrilled to try Tia's after seeing them listed as a black-owned business on the Ave in Hampden. We stopped in one evening and the hardest thing was deciding what to get - Italian ice, soft serve, hard / scooped, banana boats.... everything looked amazing. We settled on a gelato (strawberry lemonade + vanilla softserve) and a scoop of strawberry icecream. We were fans of both! The smallest size was still plenty (they don't skimp!) and the prices were much better than going up to Ritas at the Rotunda! On top of all the options, it being tasty, and being locally owned --- they were wonderfully welcoming! The staff was super friendly and helpful with our questions. Love this place!

Summer is coming to an end but Tia has got the icy treats to appease your cravings. Also available are hot dogs and beef Pattie's.

I visited not long before closing, which I typically don't do, but my friend wanted something sweet after dinner. The service was great! I ordered the Charm City and I added ice cream to it. This is a great business to support. I will definitely be back!

What a great little find along the streets of Hampden. This is exactly what we were craving. On a nice summer day, Tia's will absolutely hit the spot! These Italian ices are hand scooped and I felt like the ratio of flavors were perfect. We both ordered mediums and the amount that they give you is phenomenal! I could barely finish my entire gelato. Their combinations are pretty unique. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the pistachio flavor but it did not disappoint at all. The gelato had a great consistency to it and was not overly sweet. It helped to balance out the tartness in the ice. Tia's doesn't just sell Italian ice, they also have food options as well. The perfect kind that will fit in your hands as you walk the streets exploring. I did not get the staffs name but they were extremely kind and you could see how happy they were to share this experience. Even with masks on, you could see the smile in their eyes. Will for sure be back. Support local!

This cute little Italian ice shop in Hampden, MD, is a refreshing visit. The peach ice tasted like real peaches--refreshing and not overly sweet. Perfect for enjoying while shopping around. The staff was super friendly and quick. Affordable and satisfying--definitely recommend!

Beef pattie - warm, crispy flaky crust with juicy well seasoned beef!! Delicious!

Fantastic Gelato made by a locally sourced dairy farm…read more My wife & I stayed at the hotel next door and stopped in for a late light treat. The gelato I noticed was very fresh and had a large selection of flavors. It seems like a neighborhood spot, inside was packed and outside people were sitting and enjoying their gelato. I'm staying in Baltimore for the week and after dinner I walked to Pitango Gelato for dessert. There are lots of fruit flavored but I was craving their hazelnut gelato made with imported Piedmontese hazelnuts. Heavenly! Those ladies scooped me up something that's free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. I mean, grass fed cows are providing the organic milk for this Baltimore staple. I'm just passing through town, I made a stop to try the best gelato in town.

Very sanitary and cross-contamination free. Ambiance: small storefront with two tables to sit and a small bar, nice if you just wanted to sit with a coffee and ice cream for a bit.

The spot was hard to locate at first until I realized that it's located in the food market. I came for the popular honey graham ice cream but also for my favorite flavor: cookies n cream. Sadly, they didn't have any cookies n cream at the moment, but luckily they did have the honey graham. The service was solid: the worker was nice and I was able to sample four flavors (key lime pie, honey graham, vanilla bean, and chocolate love) without any issue. After sampling the flavors, I decided to get a triple cup of 2x honey graham and 1x vanilla bean. - The honey graham was like that (I see why it's popular). I let my mom sample it, and she enjoyed it so much that she got her own the next day. - The vanilla bean was pretty good and paired well with the honey graham. This spot has some good ice cream that I'd be open to returning for more (hopefully they have cookies n cream next time).

Arrived in the afternoon during a busy weekend and decided to take out for desserts. My first visit and was underwhelmed by the service received. Rushed and transactional. Packaging was very sloppy and my napoleons were shoved to the side, making the clear clamshells very messy when I arrived home. If only the desserts were saving grace, but was left disappointed as well. As others have mentioned, the pastries do not taste fresh. The ricotta cream in the original cannoli tasted warm and gritty, the shell was stale. I noticed these were sitting out. The puff pastry in the Napoleons were soggy. The cream puffs shell was stale and chocolate topping was super sweet, unfortunately these were far from heavenly. Maybe another day, Vaccaro.

The vibe inside was relaxing. We were here for a few hours enjoying our coffee, tea and desserts and it was a nice place to pass the time on a cold, freezing day. The thing that dropped the review was basically the coffee and desserts. The coffee was fine, but just your standard coffee that you'd find at any gas station. The cannoli was overly sweet and the cookies we ordered felt stale. Interestingly, they charge more for sit down desserts vs. takeout. The servers were very sweet to share that we could order takeout and not have to pay the extra fee. Finally, not sure why, but there was not a lot of heating inside the restaurant. We ate with our jackets on, which was fine. But found that to be a little odd. Nobody seemed to know why they couldn't get the heat on. When it's below freezing, it would be nice to escape the chill. Overall, it was a nice stop. My kids loved it. But it was not without some quirks.
