Went here on a Friday night with my buddies after an awesome day of biking. We wanted something heavy, fatty and juicy to fill us up so what better way to do so than with a fat burger. Loved the ambience and interior design and who I'm guessing was the manager, was ridiculously friendly. Service was pretty okay until the very end where we found our server eating instead of taking our check. That's not why this got 3 stars though. The burger was honestly mediocre at best. I loved the sauces, the fries, the drinks but the one thing that was attached to the name of the restaurant, the burger, which should've been the highlight of my meal lacked flavor, freshness and uniqueness. Instead of beautiful green leaf, we were given cheap chopped lettuce and the patty itself was NOT EVEN seasoned. I was pretty upset coming out. I expected a lot out of this place and it just didn't deliver. If you do go, definitely get their strawberry lemonade and fries. And when you get their fries make sure you get as much of their signature sauces as you can because they don't cost extra and they taste phenomenal. It's been a while since I have been back since yesterday - this used to be a regular dining spot for my husband and I. It was one of those instances where you decide to get back with your ex and you want it to work out so badly.... but alas it can't and won't bc things have changed. I ordered the salmon burger, which was not very good bc of the varying degrees of temperature between the hot burger and cold lox. As soon as I pulled the lox out the burger was much better but lacked the smokey element the lox offered. Fries were not cooked well, they were oiled, with no crisp or texture. The hubs ordered the veggie sandwich which was very good and onion rings- both well seasoned and very good. I wish we can give half stars.. We took a trip to Moo Burger in Cobble Hill last night from Queens and we were not disappointed!! It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night and now I know why. The decor is gorgeous and upscale without being stuffy or snobby. The food is outrageously fresh, well made and delicious. I ordered the classic bacon burger with mushrooms and zucchini sticks. The burger was the best I have had... probably ever! It was cooked perfectly and the chipotle ketchup was so good. The zucchini sticks were awesome and served with a spicy tzatziki, I could not stop eating them! My husband ordered the smokehouse with pulled pork on top of the burger wich was again outrageous. We were able to try the mac and cheese balls, onion rings, sweet potato fries and fried pickles and let me say that each one was better than the next! I was also able to try the surf and turf burger with lobster and pineapple on top. It may sound strange but it was so ridiculously good that I could have eaten the whole thing after already finishing my burger. Even after eating all of this food, I didn't feel bloated or disgusting. The ingredients and food itself are very fresh. The service was great. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and accommodating. Some reviewers thought that the portions were small for the price. Honestly, I feel that the portions were just right and I personally don't like having a ton of fries left at the end of the meal to continually pick on. To the point where I couldn't finish it, had to gulp down several glasses of water, got a huge headache that lasted me the night, and felt duped by the lack of red font on the menu or warning from the server. My eyes were pouring tears and the expression on my face was pure panic by the time I was halfway through with that thing. It was not a fun way to spend my time or money when I was trying to have a nice low-key dinner before a movie. If you want to have something stupid-spicy on your menu, go for it. Top pick, the most amazing burger ever Turkey Cranberry for my cousin, she said it was moist and yummy For a change I had the Thai Chicken special and it was great, sweet and fresh. Also pulled pork on the side because it's just soooooo good (they pull it themselves) I get jealous otherwise of anyone having the smokehouse and it's not good form to steal your guests food. Fried Mac & Cheese $6 (as my side) ~ 4 giant balls served with spicy mayo. First time having fried mac & cheese and I wasn't diappointed. If I were they, I would choose a different type of sauce. After walking by the signage for the last couple months, we heard about Mooburger opening yesterday from the BococaLand blog. Walking in, I had no idea what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised to find a sit-down casual restaurant atmosphere rather than a high brow fast-food joint (as I was sorta expecting from the name). We had the Greek burger and the Court St. The Greek was a lamb burger with olive tapenade, cucumbers, eggplant and feta, and the Court St was Elk with mushrooms and brie. Both were tasty, despite them working out some "open for only 2 days" kinks, and would get them again. The burger list looked pretty awesome, and there's a peace of mind in knowing the meat is quality stuff (all their ground beef is organic). Drinks-wise, pretty standard craft beer list on tap/bottle/can, and a couple seasonal brews. Standout of the night: Fried Pickles with a side of Horseradish Mayo. I'll go back for this alone. Very impressive that on this first day, when the place is getting slammed like never before, they still manage to stay afloat and crank my order out. The super hearty Cobb salad I ordered was missing ranch and avocado: went back and they were still getting slammed, and the manager refunded me after replacing the missing parts. Nice customer service. The rare All-American burger is pretty good; not life-changing or exciting, but correct. The fries are natural cut with skin and aren't too thick (as is often the downfall of many a crappy, mealy fry); I think mine were perhaps accidentally double salted, so: some lip burning, but still... proper weight, thickness, and consistency, if not my favorite crispier thinner style. Chatted with one of the owners; nice guy, glad to see this addition to the neighborhood. If they can keep their freshness, service, and quality up, they'll make gobs of money, as they're a welcome solace to the neighborhood's mediocre burger pantheon, their interior is lovely, and organic and locally-sourced will always prove potent selling points around here. DIE FIVE GUYS, DIE! I actively want them out of my neighborhood. I really don't understand what compelled someone to open a chain burger restaurant smack dab in the middle of this Cobble Hill culinary renaissance; very incoherent with the neighborhood's character.
