This is my second time eating here , the first time I tried again at this exact location I fell in love with their food and quality , I had the falafel plate the first time I ordered and it was about 2 years ago and it was great I took it to go ! Today I went again and I had a Golden eggplant plate with super greens and rice and it was just as expected, excellent , food was well done and excellent I had the whipped garlic sauce on the side and with every bite I was very happy doing happy dances in my seat . I have been a big fan of Taïm since their days as a lonely outpost in the Village. Since that time they have turned into a franchise and locations are popping up in some of the most unexpected places. While walking down Hoyt Street in downtown Brooklyn I saw the Taïm logo out of the corner of my eye and I knew I had to check it out. This location is located at the base of a new(ish) residential building and I found myself thinking about how great it would be to have a Taïm right downstairs from where I lived! The interior is an open space with bright colors and light wood decor that is comforting and welcoming at the same time. To the right is a small counter at the window and there are seats to the left. Further on towards the right is a counter where you order via a screen. Near that is the "pick up" shelf for online orders. The counter and kitchen are towards the back. Overall it is a nice set up. Of course, the question one asks when visiting a franchise location is: is the food as good as I remember from the original? I am happy to report it IS! Here's what I had: Green Falafel This is the traditional falafel that first had me fall in love with Taïm. It is made to order so it is fresh. The outside is nice and crisp while the inside is still soft (but not chewy). The flavor is on point thanks to some fantastic seasoning. Add in their Tahini and Whipped Garlic and it's a wonderful dish. Harissa Falafel As you'd expect, this is basically their regular falafel with some spicy harissa seasoning added in. There is a nice bite this adds to their already awesome flavor. Pita with Hummus The pita bread in this combo is topped with Za'atar seasoning, giving it an extra savory flavor. The hummus is not plain, instead it is also seasoned giving it some nice flavor. Now, it does not beat the likes of Hummus Kitchen or Hummus Place, but for fast casual it is very good! The pita bread was soft and chewy with fantastic flavor. A perfect vehicle to deliver Hummus! I was very happy to find this location and will definitely visit again. read more

Whenever I am in town, I hit them up. Totally unassuming and I think a chain. Always fresh ingredients and plenty of toppings and options to choose from. My love for Taim has spanned a decade,* so when I found out they were opening up steps from my building, I rejoiced. Then I forgot about it for two months, until I received a coupon in the mail. And what a coupon it was! It got me to walk in the doors of this beautiful new eatery tucked into the new 11 Hoyt development (entrance on Livingston). It's bright, with high ceilings, plenty of seating, and all the high-tech ordering touchscreens you could ask for. (They also take online orders, and I believe have an app as well.) They also have a lovely staff who will also just take your order the old-fashioned way, if you like talking to people. All the other things aside, this new Taim location serves up the same high quality eats I've always loved. I rocked a chicken shawarma bowl, with as many toppings as they'd give me. As expected, their food is all packed with bright, fresh, flavorful ingredients, and it's a lunch I'm going to revisit entirely too often. I stopped by on a weekend afternoon for a quick bite. I got a chicken Schwarma bowl with the main positives being fresh ingredients, lots of choices and colorful. On the negative side, the chicken was dry. Space was clean. Ordering can be on on app, kiosk or old school with the cashier. This is not a typical dump and go meal place (like chipotle) as all the food is prepared behind the cashier, out of of sight. Seating was aplenty and space was clean. I have to say I really liked it more than I thought I would. I ordered two wraps, one for me (chicken) and one for my husband (beef and lamb mix). They were really good. Also I found it super easy to order sans I thought the staff was friendly. I also like that it was clean and there was space to sit comfortably if you want to eat there. I am a longtime CAVA fan, but when it comes to falafel, I have to admit Taim takes the cake. Their red and green falafels are both fantastic options, and so hot and crispy out the fryer. I stopped by on a Thursday evening before my solidcore class (conveniently located next door) for some dinner. Like their other locations, there are two self-order kiosks where you can choose a pita or bowl. Today I got a Chicken Shwarma pita with all the fixings (again, up to 8 toppings and a sauce). Have I mentioned I LOVE, repeat, I LOVE, Taim . So when I got a notification that they were opening a new location in Downtown Brooklyn, I made a note to eat their delicious falafel ASAP! I've been to many Taim, yep, was at the grand opening on 7th Avenue in Park Slope via Yelp Elite Event and frequent the Flatiron location. Why? The falafel is to DIE for! You can order harissa falafel or regular falafel or BOTH! You can schwarma it, pita it or place it in a big bowl. End result? Yummmmmmmmmm! They also offer mezze with their delicious Zaatar seasoned pita, crispy cauliflower, eggplant and other delicious Mediterranean fare. I haven't eaten falafel in a while thus today I went all the way... green falafel in a pita with seasoned chickpeas, pickles, beets and crispy shallots and added some whipped garlic. Added to that was their famous fries and refreshing ginger mint lemonade. The new space is next to soon to open 11 Hoyt luxury apartment building. The interior is light, spacious, airy and very warm. The entire staff is professional, kind and very accommodating. My lunch was delicious and I made it a point to communicate to all. I told the staff once the apartment building opens be prepared to make falafel after midnight cuz us Brooklynites LOVVVVE our falafel! This Taim is steps away from Macy's and Citipoint. Then you removed your sabich and I don't see tabbouli on the menu. I know I can build a sabitch but it was a hassle. Removed Taim favorites and staples. Your custom bowls are way too similar to other establishments and you no longer stand out. Seriously. Removed Israeli salad and you have to add tomatoes. Cucumbers separately? Not a fan.
