I have come here for years and I hadn't been In a while because last time there a literal pebble/rock in my food......it was really crazy and I just never came back lol so fast forward a few years and I decide to come for mimosas and brunch. We get there and they had us wait about 25 minutes, which is fine. I understand they're busy even though there was plenty of empty tables. it was a very sunny day so we asked to not be sat in the sun, as they had given us the option in the beginning, but that was like the only choice they had so we ended up sitting in the sun. The table was very wobbly and the menus were super crusty. Like yolks on them I should have took a pic.. we were waiting for a while and had gotten our food and asked to get some mimosas to which they informed me they kitchen closed... like girl whatchu mean we just got sat and our food??? The service wasn't the best..Then the food wasn't even that good! Like the potatoes were soggy and egg was overdone when it was asked to be over easy. lol just really crazy how everything went wrong, it was my boyfriends first time there and he was like what is this place... he said it tasted worse than dennys and I was like omg no way oh!! And the tomato slices for my burger were FAT, like a mouth full of tomatoes, lol like why so fattt so I asked for thinner slice and she brought back 4 more the SAME size I was dead lol... I told her I feel bad about wasting the ingredients but they should change the size on their slicer or something... or just tell them to. Make thinner slices as requested? Lol and it had a plastic wrapping on it...but that's fine mistakes happen. But gosh there is a line lol, and I see a few more reviews this place I think is just going down hill /( Nash's all the way... anyway yeah I feel like there was more and I could probably combine experiences in the past I shrugged off and they didn't care but that's why I haven't been back in years! It has a nice ambience and surrounding, being downtown and all. But that's about it. I would 100% recommend nashs!! So the food is tasteful & the serving sizes are great. The presentation of their drinks is cute, but some were strong while others were more water-downed. The reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because of our overall experience. From the beginning, we were told 40 minutes of a wait and then ended up waiting almost over an hour. When we were finally offered a table, they gave us a table that fit maybe 6 people for a party of 8... and they guaranteed us it was made for 8 people. We requested a bigger table, to which they provided after some hesitation but the funny thing is that later when we left, we saw the original table that was offered to us was seated with a party of 6 and it was definitely at capacity. We also felt like we were receiving some attitude from some of the staff, and it was during graduation weekend so I understand it can be busy & stressful but it was overall not our favorite dining experience. read more

Met my son and his friends for breakfast before he left for OK. Seated right away, server was good. We all had eggs and bacon and potatoes. It wasn't super busy but busy enough for the food to take a bit. Everyone got their meals and I got mine about 5 minutes later. Coffee refills were quick and our server was attentive. The only other downfall was how long it took to get the bill. Mom's is a Chico favorite and is usually always busy no matter the time of year. read more

Great food. Fun breakfast cocktails. Convenient parking. There was no wait for a table at 9am on a Holiday, which was a wonderful surprise. The chicken fried steak is great, classic style with a big pile of potatoes on the side and a couple of eggs. More than enough food for a single person, but not excessive. The bloody mary flight is lots of fun. The bacon was probably my favorite. But, the jalapeno and dill were quite good as well. Stopped in Chico to visit some friends and they raved about Mom's. So of course we had to try it! We had a party of 4 adults, a baby and a dog. The wait was pretty long. It was a Sunday morning though, so no surprise. We were told about 45 minutes and it took about an hour but it was fine. The weather was nice! Just be prepared to have a wait. Once we got to our table, it was pretty quick between getting our menus and then our food. The service was mostly great. Our server was slow to get us sauce or refill our drinks, but he was really fast in getting us our orders. I got the chilaquiles and it was very good! My boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy which were great too. HUGE though. 3 eggs and 2 biscuits. The prices were awesome for the proportions! Came here during memorial weekend and there was only a 10 min wait. Not bad! They also had ample outdoor seating where we could sit while we wait for our table. Service was speedy and friendly. I ordered the veggie omelette which had loads of spinach, peppers, with some cheesy bites. There were other veg too but I don't remember. It was a good balance of light, filling, with bites of cheese. The potatoes were ok in my opinion, seemed like an afterthought. The biscuit was crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Exactly what you want when u picture the perfect biscuit. My partner ordered the biscuits and gravy with 3 eggs. The gravy was DELISH. Loved it and was jelly since I chose the healthy route. The gravy had deep sausage meaty flavor with small chunks of sausage. Smothered on top of their perfect biscuits. Great hangover cure! Lastly the bloody Mary's are huge and nicely strong. The options in the menu as so amazing that I had such a hard time choosing! We settled for: Chicken and Waffles and Bacon Lover's Eggs Benedicta! Wow! We were taken care of within reasonable time. I prefer to go on a time that we do not have to be rushed and can relax and talk while we have breakfast. Call it Mom and daughter quality time. When you first walk in it feels a little old fashioned but that's not an issue. The place is amazing and has awesome customer service! The food is also amazing and I've been there many of times. Recently I had their homemade corn beef hash and it's been the best I've ever had! Definitely will be coming back in the future read more

Food: I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak meal with toast, eggs and country potatoes. The meal was also served with a bit of fresh fruit, which I absolutely appreciated. Everything was tasty. Service: It was a bit poor. The server was probably overwhelmed because I came with a huge group of people. Wow! This place was great. So we were in town just dropping our son off for school and searched Yelp to find a place to eat and noticed all the 5-star reviews and said we gotta go in. There was a big crowd outside and the wait was about 30 minutes. The wait was worth it. Everything on the menu looked great so it was hard to decide but I saw someone with a BLT and agreed I had to have that. I've never had a bacon sandwich with this much bacon, it had about 8-10 pieces of bacon, almost a full pound. It was so good. My wife had the grilled cheese and loved it. My son got the beef dip and it has tons of meat. All of our plates were huge. Next time I'm in town we will definitely stop here Again. read more

This place is always has a line outside waiting but they seat you pretty timely. There is a large outdoor seating area off Salem and 2nd St where you can sit and enjoy a meal with your 4-legged pals. The interior vibe is country kitchen and the meals are just that - large portions for us country folk. The generous portions can be shared for sure or grab a to-go box to enjoy your leftovers later. The service was outstanding from the hostess to the sever. The coffee was hot and creamer with added vanilla flavoring was a hit. This place confuses me, plenty of customers and some of the dishes like the corned beef hash suggest they care about putting the time into making stuff from scratch. I can appreciate that. What confuses me is how it seems like there are corners being cut. The last few times I've been here I eat at the bar, and I've noticed that the waitresses never sanitize the bar. I noticed the waitress today cleaned up after the person next to me by sweeping up crumbs with her hand, and then without washing her hands put new silverware down on the unsanitized surface for the next guest. I would assume that the bar staff should be the most proficient waiters and waitresses out of the whole restaurant, and I noticed the bussers for the main dining area use a spray bottle of sanitizer. Also noticed that when I order my eggs over hard that every single yolks is broken, I'm assuming this is on purpose? As a breakfast spot, this place has the potential to be five stars for me but missing the mark on some obvious stuff. read more

This place was highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, but if the weather is nice I like to sit outside. The food here is very good. My friend ordered the vegetable scramble and she enjoyed it. The veggie hash was my favorite item of the morning. We ordered a screwdriver and the bloody Mary flight. The screwdriver was okay, they make it using vanilla vodka which I wasn't a fan of. The flight was very tasty though. read more

Mom's atmosphere is a very fun vibe. The staff is lively, the place is vibrant at brunch time, and the food comes out fast. However, I wasn't wowed by their take on typical brunch offerings. I'm a suckered for chicken fried steak and eggs, and it was on the pricier side ($17) and my serving was on the smaller side. Good flavor, but not a great that really was worth $17. Plus, the potatoes came out soggy which is never a good time at brunch. However, they check the boxes when it came to typical offerings like bacon, eggs, and toast that were served during our visit. Having spent Mother's Day at Mom's a couple of years ago while visiting Chico, I was happy to return now that we've moved to town. The warm, cozy vibe still makes Mom's special -- amiable staff and charming decor (we love the Tiffany-style lamps) welcome us -- and the menu and beverage options (and portions) are delightful. My ABC (avocado, bacon, cheddar) omelette was a generous size and full of flavor, served alongside slices of watermelon and orange plus a biscuit with apple butter, and my mimosa ("Mommy's Little Helper") was perfect, filled to the brim! A huge shout-out to awesome Karen, who was our friendly server from our first visit a few years ago and who went above and beyond for us again, especially as we had our two grandsons in tow this time and Karen has a wonderful way with little kids.
