Great place!!! Locals know it.

Tourists!!!....we found this mom and pop run small cafe in the Chevron gas station lot near our regular go to hotel when we visit family. We've eaten here at least eight times. Get to go is good too. We found it while I was gassing up and saw many people walking in to order. The husband wife team cook up some great chow here. We've had the beef tacos, Breakfast sandwiches Breakfast burritos Ice cream Pastries Several types quesadillas 5 star!!! You and your family will enjoy.

My partner and I went out for brunch to this place and it did not disappoint. Beautiful on the inside; family friendly and whimsical. This cafe even supports local artists by selling art and allowing posters to be displayed. There's interactive wall art for children to play with and a lot of seating to get comfortable with. We ordered two bomb croissants (or monster croissants I don't remember) but they set my standards hight for sandwiches. We had the best fries of our life here, I didn't even get a picture before they were gone. And the people working there were so kind and patient when we took a while looking at the menu (its pretty long). I recommended my friend to go the same day. We will be coming back!

Stopped by after my daughter's soccer game and tried a mango and strawberry smoothie. Delicious! They gave my son a complimentary scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream while we waited, which made him super happy! We'll stop by again next time we're in Chico for a soccer game. Thank you!

#5. Monster Burrito! Huge! Plus various options for tortilla type

Super cute & spacious place with lots of comfy couch seating as well as tables. Local art all over the walls. Super healthy and delicious food! They even have legit vegan and GF options! I mean just check out their menu-- there is so much to choose from! They also have 2 glass cases right when you walk in with ice cream, baked deserts, and egg bites. The chef is amazing & very helpful (she is in the back but also brings orders out) Our food was so bomb & looked beautiful too! All staff are friendly and helpful, and their service is pretty dang quick. My fiancé got the monster burrito and I got the veggie bagel with a side of perfectly fluffy & crisp potatoes. We also got a smoothie and fresh pressed juice. Our tummies are soooo happy!!

Found this little spot on Yelp! I like that they have a ton of options. Desserts are made in house. And I like the organic coffee and tea options! Prices are pretty steep in my opinion, but thankfully I feel like they did a good job of stuffing my burrito. It wasn't a lame burrito that left me regretting the $12 I spent lol. It was very filling! Could use some more flavor in my opinion and a house made salsa would be a nice touch also!! Excited to go back and try their protein smoothies and treats! Service was very friendly & personable

If you enjoy paying exorbitant amounts of money for minuscule portions this is the place for you! This place used to be great.... But now I can't even remember the last time I went there where there wasn't something that I got bothered by. It feels a little weird for me to give such a low rating because it used to be wonderful......but...not so much anymore. This was the last time. Never again. Not only did they forget the to put the stuff in the wrap that I paid extra for but THIS is what half of a $16 wrap looks like! I'm sorry but what? Absolutely ridiculous! These wraps used to be huge. I've never considered them to be inexpensive but they were at least big wraps that you could get full on. It's like they've literally cut them down by 50%. Something that unfortunately far too many businesses are doing these days. Raising prices while simultaneously giving smaller portions. Absolute rip off. On right side not only did they refund me (as they should) but they also refunded me for the second wrap and let me keep it. Cool and all but certainly isn't a reason to go there ever again. And while I got refunded it's only because I said something whereas most people don't and just suck it up and get ripped off. When people do that it only gives the business more reason to keep doing it.

i don't know man. i thought about this place from time to time because it was that good. today i returned because my friend n i were heading up to portland doing a road trip. i was so excited but i guess also prepared myself that its not gonna be the same as 5 years ago esp from the more recent reviews. i gotta say it still tastes awesome but its shrunk so much. i couldn't remb what the price was in 2019, but in 2024, this little thing costed me around 16.50 plus the 15% tip. so almost $19. eeeeeh, i just can't say its worth it anymore. can you at least give 3 full slices of roast beef? :( also attached a pic of my friends pastrami sandwich. also very small

The decor is cozy, this sausage sandwich is good and coffee is very good, and the service is good. The restroom needs a renovation.

If you're rolling through Chico and looking for a place that actually lives up to the name, Burgers…read more& Brew doesn't just talk a good game... it delivers for us! From the moment you walk up, it's got that classic brick and wood feel that says you're about to eat well. Step inside and you're greeted by a wall of taps that feels like a beer lover's playground. The place hums... great music, good energy, and a staff that's clearly in rhythm with it all. We didn't mess around with the order. My daughter went with the blue cheese burger special, her boyfriend took on the bacon jalapeño burger, and I went straight for the pastrami burger. Every one of them came out looking like a culinary masterpiece. The blue cheese had that perfect balance... bold but not overpowering as they are want to be. Her boyfriend said the bacon jalapeño brought just enough heat to keep things interesting without stealing the show, probably too weak for me ;). My pastrami burger was a heavyweight... stacked, savory, and the kind of messy you don't even try to clean up until you're done. Think Katz deli melding with a west coast hip scene burger. Now let's talk onion rings... because these deserve it. Golden, crispy, and just the right crunch when you bite in. Not greasy, not soggy, just dialed in exactly how they should be. Add the garlic sauce and now you're playing a different game altogether. That sauce is not optional, it's essential and fabulous on everything. The beer selection is deep, the kind where you stand there for a minute pretending you're making a thoughtful decision when really you just want to try everything. Service was on point from start to finish. No waiting around, no chasing anyone down... just attentive, easy, and done right. Only downside, and it's not really their fault, is parking. Downtown Chico can make you work a little for it. But once you're inside, with a cold beer in hand and a burger staring you down, you won't care how far you walked. I will be back, it is well worth the money.

I'm local. I hadn't been there for probably a year. The five star reviews seem to be from OOT…read moreparents dropping their kids off at Chico State, people who wouldn't notice if a penguin took a dump in their French fries, because they're understandably absorbed in their fleeing children's every word and deed on an emotional weekend. Burgers are "meh", and my only reason for going back is that they have an ok lamb burger, which I haven't otherwise found north of Sacramento (where there are much better lamb burgers). The place is absolutely filthy. Greasy fingerprints on every surface that could possibly display them. Spill residue and trash everywhere. There's absolutely no way that my wife would eat here. She hasn't been there in years, and now would turn around and leave as soon as she saw the place. Looking around while eating, I couldn't finish my meal, and I left. And I'm pretty easy. I like dives, but not filth. I don't think that this is meant to be a dive, AND it's progressively become a s******e. And, all the while, the "manager", who didn't appear to "manage" anything, except for conversation and passing out free beer samples to his buddies at the bar (one of whom was clearly, from their banter, a fired former employee), did nothing else but gossip and bitch about higher management, while the employees also had multiple free beer samples, and stood around and chatted with each other. While the environment grew even more disgusting. Shouldn't these people be trying to at least keep the the place presentable, if not really clean? Isn't this a regional chain? I'm sure that no one from Sacramento has been here recently. I don't like to see a business fail, but this one deserves to.

For the sake of nostalgia, I am giving four stars. But let me tell you the times have changed here…read moreand the quality sadly has gone down. But the bartenders and the staff were very nice and helpful. Came in on a Friday night and had some drinks with some friends was sad to see the specialty shots were all premade and not that great. The next day we came back for a late lunch only to discover it was prom night and super busy. Something has changed to the wings and they taste different than they used to. But they were OK. The garlic fries just had a glob of garlic on top, they were not tossed around in the garlic. That was disappointing too. A friend of ours ordered a burger with a turkey patty and it took forever to get from the kitchen. It took so long they gave us a complementary coupon for a meal in the future. When I asked why it took so long, they said all the turkey patties were frozen and it was taking too long to thaw out. I'm glad it wasn't my burger because I would've hated to know that I just ate a frozen patty. It makes me question the quality of the rest of their burgers at this point. If you have never been here, it is a must see experience. The place is huge and every room has hidden surprises. This is still a Chico staple and I will always come back when I visit.

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.
