    Brisket Sandwich

I ordered the brisket sandwich. The roll was delicious, but there was almost no slaw or BBQ sauce. Also, the brisket reminded me more of sliced ham.

Italian sandwich toasted with bacon and avocado

I never post on yelp but this was the best sandwich i've had all year! Super yummy and savory, it came out fast but definitely not without careful effort to make it perfect. Also the owner Sandy and the employee were both very friendly and have great costumer service skills. Her and i had a nice conversation and she clearly really cares about her customers and staff. Definitely recommend!

    Menus

Walking in the front door, I was welcomed right away. It's a very nice shop with some sit-down tables and a very clean appearance. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich with mustard on a 6-inch sourdough roll, with no other toppings. Sourdough seemed to be the only bread option. When I received the heated sandwich, the roll was perfectly toasted. The 6-inch sandwich was $11.49. There wasn't much meat on it, but then again, I didn't order any fillers. The price seemed a little high. I think the largest sandwich they sell is 8 inches. Hmm, where is the foot-long? They also sell soups and salads. The next time I go, I will try their brisket. My only hope is that the brisket isn't sliced like the pastrami but rather carved meat. I will definitely go again. It's located right next to Safeway on Mangrove.

Albeit a bit pricey, I've always enjoyed anything that I've ever ordered. I'll definitely return.

Waited in line for the free sandwich and it was worth it! This is a step above all other SAMICH shops as it's "in the bread,!"

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

We were easy - same exact dish and drinks for us both and she recommended the steak skewer with our salad. We had the Mexican themed salad that had roasted corn in it and I died and went to heaven eating that salad. The lime dressing was sooo good. The meat was so tender and tasty. No gristle!!!! I was fully expecting some but it was perfect meat. Well flavored and perfectly cooked. Not only did our server give us the best advice, she also sent us out the door with a refill of iced tea. In this heat, that is so kind. She probably saved me from dehydration!! We had the nicest drive back to the Bay Area. We talked about coming back with our manly men. They would love this place. Chico is just as nice and less expensive than the Bay Area. I recommend visiting this lovely restaurant and brewery. I would have had the beer but I can't mix alcohol and heat that I'm not used to. So... in the immortal words of the Terminator, "I'll be back!" I am so embarrassed! I forgot to take pictures!!!! I was that bowled over!

I also admire their focus on sustainability, their seasonal menu, as well as their local partnerships. A combination of upscale but affordable and perfect for a date night. The copper accents are beautiful and the seating was comfortable. Unfortunately, it was super busy so I would recommend sitting outside for a more romantic and private ambience. My blackened salmon tacos were delicious and we cleaned off the plate within a handful of minutes. I really loved the pickled onions on the side and the crispy outside layer of the salmon pieces. Shout out to our server, kaylee for giving us as much attention as she could, despite the business!

Well, this cake did not disappoint! It was a stunning 3-layer 6" cake, with simple yet elegant decoration. The cream cheese frosting was divine, and best of all -- there were no raisins! He said it was the best he's ever had... so Heirloom helped make me girlfriend of the year! The day I placed my order, I also picked up a Cobb salad to-go, and that was also one of the best Cobbs I've ever had. There was a generous amount of seasoned, roasted chicken and a side of chunky blue cheese dressing. Perhaps my favorite discovery? Salads (maybe all bistro items?) come with a complimentary brownie bite! I learned this on my first visit after they ran after me to my car -- "You forgot your brownie!" I hadn't ordered one, so I was understandably confused... but I gladly accepted, and enjoyed, a bite of happiness in brownie form. I've since returned for another Cobb salad + brownie lunch treat, and I can't wait for my next excuse to order a cake. I only wish their charcuterie boards came in smaller portions for weekend winery excursions. Charcuterie is my favorite food group, but I just haven't had a reason or event to order for 4-6 people. Thank you, Heirloom, for keeping Chico sweet!

It was genuinely delicious--a word I don't use lightly for food in Chico. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable.
