The Pita Pit in Chico, Ca. Is the bomb! I had the most delicious lunch today. It was fresh, healthy and the tastiest meal I have had in a long time. The vibe at the Pita Pit was wonderful and the owner is super kind! I am glad I stopped off there today, my experience was wonderful! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The price is reasonable and the pita I had was so nutritious and really filled my belly without weighing me down. This is definitely my new favorite place to go! read more

Always so delicious, open late, and great costumer service always all the workers are super nice

Got 2 pitas delivered and the chicken was so dry and chewy I couldn't eat it. The lettuce was brown and avocado and had no sauce. I tried to build a new one with my ingredient since I was hungry. Super sad I use to eat here all the time :( quality is really bad. read more

Used to be one of my favorite spots, but something's happened with the chicken. It's super dry, fibrous, and not very palatable. It happened a few months ago and put me off eating here as much, just went back today and got some more woody chicken. I think I'm out of second chances to give. If I do eat here again I definitely won't get anything with chicken. read more

Quick, friendly service. The wraps taste great and are fresh. It's a healthy choice for fast food.

I wouldn't recommend a bowl. Paid $15 for rice and 3 pieces of pulled pork. Get a pita not a bowl! read more

Pita Pit - Hawaiian bowl. Unfortunately wasn't much food. Only a couple pieces of pulled pork. Took this photo after the first bite. Paid $15 for rice - Mediterranean Near Me - Chico, California

The gyros are tasty . I love the flavors. I love the taziki sauce However, the falafel is so dense and dry that first bite , I seriously could not swallow I. I tried and tried and it was stuck in the back of my throat. I came close to choking . I tossed some water back and things loosened up. I had to hard cough it up. I work in an urgent care. The falafel bites look small, but expand upon chewing. They are dry and become a big glob. I am thankful that I was able to expel it. It could have gone ugly . read more

Half a star. Food was horrible and the food was fermented from sitting so long. My wife is pregnant and was about to consume this horrible food. The manager Thomas needs to be held accountable for this. The staff there was so lost, customer service is very poor. read more

Ordered from Uber Eats, they didn't give me chips when I clearly ordered chips. Proceeded to call them to not get a response. Portion size is small for how much you pay, but the food is tasty. Would not recommend this place read more

Service is #1 here. The girl who took my order walked me through the menu and highlighted the best sellers while also offering me to build my own with any of the ingredients I wanted. The guy who made my pita (he was black, I didn't catch his name)- WOW! That was some of the best flavored chicken I've had and the meat was so tender. He let me try some sauce before committing to it and offered to give me some on the side instead of putting it in my pita. He was so patient and sweet. I really enjoyed everything here. Thank you for your quality service and patience with m new customers. read more

I love it here! I have been in Chico for 3 years now and I think this is the best spot for food! Whether you call an order in or walk in the staff is so welcoming and friendly. If your looking for something that is filling and has a bit of a kick to it, try the Smokin' Chicken Bacon BBQ Pita! The woman had asked me if I wanted Guac, Chips and a Drink? I said let's do if. I made no modifications to the pita because I wanted it how it comes. She asked if I wanted the cheese melted and that was a definite yez! Overall the pita was a bit spicy. I'm not sure if it was the BBQ sauce of the diced up Jalapeño's. Overall this is a "Subway" style, build your own pita. Price point is okAy, I would say you need at least a $10 bill for one pita but they are definitely jammed packed & make for a great dinner! read more

I really really like the falafel wrap here, it's fantastic. You can taste all the ingredients and they blend together well. Bonus points for having Pocket Points rewards. I wouldn't recommend having a gyro or any other meat wrap though- because Ali Baba is right next door and this place just tastes cheap in comparison (hence the 3 star). I'm not even a vegetarian, I just think the veggie options here are fantastic. read more

I used to come here a few times a week, maybe 3-4 years ago, pre pandemic. I recently tried coming here again and was let down. The place looked really messy and cluttered. A bunch of random stuff on the counter, not food related. Looked like a family was using the space for personal and business use. They used to have a large hand written menu that was easy to read, now its a bit more confusing. The food itself was thrown together messy and wrapped like a burrito, not a pita. They have a drink machine, but it was broken. Use the brick parking lot if going anywhere downtown. read more

Shae made us fantastic pitas and was very conscientious of my special requests! They were perfect and just as I ordered! Thank you Shae!

I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Pita Pit but I LOVE it (and from what I've heard the one in Chico is one of the better locations). My dad ordered a tuna pita once which looked disgusting, so I wouldn't recommend that. But here's what I get: Chicken Cesar (this just means chicken and bacon - it has nothing to do with Cesar dressing) with shredded lettuce, pickles, banana peppers, cucumbers, olives and LOTS of Teriyaki sauce. It's so yummy that I never stray from this order (although it might be good with pineapple and/or shredded carrots). Enjoy! read more

Great food.... Great service.... Definitely a go to spot in Chico CA. My husband and I go here as much as we can, and it's always delicious

Super unimpressed with this place. Its like Subway except instead of bread you get a pita. Nothing special, nothing super tasty, just ultra generic food items and a boring selection of "add on's". The prices aren't that great either- You get an almost tasteless pita bread lumped with random stuff (you choose) and then can have it warmed in the oven or, eat it cold. I've tried this place twice, the first time I got a warm pita and threw 1/2 of it out then, the second time, tried a cold pita and wished I had eaten a piece of cardboard with sprouts instead- it would have had more flavor. Yeah, not a fan, at all. Oh, and they carry Pepsi products, not Coke. Bland, below average pitas and no Coke equals a DOUBLE FAIL. I wouldn't waste 7 cents here let alone $7 for a boring tasteless pita. Take your money else where... You'll be glad you did. read more

Came here with my roommates for the first time to try out what they got. Both my roommates enjoyed the wraps they got, likewise with the bowl I ordered. The server who helped us walked us through the menu patiently and was friendly. I like the healthier aspect of the food as well. I'll definitely stop by again one day! read more

Linda and Justin are amazing. Very friendly and took good care of me. I have been back several times since. Thanks for the amazing service.

The first time I ever had pita pit was when I moved to Chico. This location is in the middle of downtown and due to it being open late it is a huge drunk hangout after hours. During the day the employees seem like they want to be there but I went in late night once and felt like they were annoyed with every customer. Granted, there were a lot of drunk people there, but that's no excuse. If you're going to stay open later than everyone else your employees have to at least pretend that they want your business. Especially because late night drunk customers is where they probably make the most money. Also, while pita pit IS delicious- They need to set up a better ordering system. If they implemented ordering sheets that specifies what you want to order and what toppings you want on your pita (like Pluto's) I feel like the process would be much less stressful. read more

This place is a must visit! Healthy fresh fresh ingredients delicious with many many options for everyone. Very very reasonable prices with large food portions. The Internet says they're open until a certain time, upon arrival prior to that time they are closed. As much as I want to try it I can't, because they are closed. If I could give them a zero star, I would. Waste of time and effort. Save your time and money and go to a local mom and pop shop. read more

Pita Pit - Mediterranean Near Me - Chico, California

Pita Pit represents the quintessential goodness of grab-and-go convenience, Chipotle-style customizability, and satisfaction from nomming on a huge wrap the size of a super burrito. 1. Choose your protein. I was satisfied with the chicken shawarma, and boo's fave is BBQ chicken. They have a lot of options, including lamb/beef shawarma and the menu even includes calorie counts (which is the reason I didn't choose lamb/beef shawarma). 2. Choose your toppings. Nothing too fancy, but they do have a wide variety of veggies and their ingredients are quite fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if they sourced from local farms because everything tasted so crisp and flavorful. There was also a good selection of cheese, including feta. 3. Choose your sauce. Their mango habanero is delicious--zesty and fruity. The tzatziki is not bad but seemed a bit watered down. 4. Choose your wrap. I like wheat for the graininess, and I especially like how they creatively wrap it with the toppings in between the pita layers. It makes for a delightfully thin outer layer, bringing a focus to the filling. 5. Eat with caution. They wrap it well, but there is so much filling that you have to eat your wrap with technique and conscientiousness so that all the toppings don't fall out. FYI you may want to consider coming here only with your closest friends, because it can get awkward when your wrap is unraveling while you're trying to eat and converse with etiquette. The place is no-frills, service is personable and fast, and it's well priced as a satisfying meal at ~$10. Pita Pit stop forreals. read more

I just went here for the first time today. The inside was very open and had a nice atmosphere and the employees were friendly and helpful. I ordered a turkey pita with mushrooms, tomatoes, feta cheese, etc. What I liked about it was the fresh and delicious taste. The pita was light, airy and full of flavor. My only complaint was that they should have added more turkey. Other than that it was a pleasant visit and I'll be sure to come back soon. I got a stamp card, by the way. :) read more

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had and I love pita pit. I order the Baja chicken bacon regular pita and when I picked it up it was basically a taco size with barely anything inside and I paid 10 dollars.
