Momo palace is located in a food court at Worcester Public Market. It's one of about a dozen shops and food stalls that surround a nice open seating area. The menu is not huge but the momos (decent sized dumplings) are the star and are offered in numerous different ways. We chose the pork momos in a chicken soup with all the vegetables and medium in spice. Let me say this was excellent in so many ways. Served piping hot with a nice amount of julienned carrot, cabbage and fresh cilantro adding a great little crunch and totally complimenting the plump pillows of meaty momos. One would think this might be just chicken broth but no. Small chunks of tender moist chicken were mixed in and the soup had a great chicken flavor with a bit of curry in the background. Saracha is the heat source and you can ask to adjust it to your choice. A nice slice (not wedge) was included adding to the flavor. This was a great value as well. My bowl had 8 plump momos in it. These are larger than a one bite dumpling. We also got the tornado fries. This is a whole potato on a stick that's put on a spiral slicer and deep fried. Served with a drizzle of saracha mayo on top or on the side this is a great add on to our soup. These tornado fries would be a fantastic idea for fair food and would make plenty of profit. Over all momo palace is a fantastic stop and I wish I lived closer. This would be a weekly meal for me during the colder months.

Pork momos in chicken soup -- SO GOOD

Tasty momos! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Friendly and efficient, and all freshly made. **Price & portion, 5/5** For about $11, I got 8 momos in a chicken soup. Great dinner! **Presentation of the food, 5/5** So colorful and really showcased the plump momos in all their glory. **Taste of the food, 5/5** The chicken soup was so flavorful and packed with veggies that the momos didn't seem to have as much flavor in comparison, but it was a fantastic bowl. The momo wrappers are soft and the inside is packed with meat and veggies -- perfect! **Other notes** They accept apple pay!

Momos in Chicken Soup, and Steamed Momo. Both are delicious.

Can't believe how long I've held out on trying Momo Palace. The Momo dumplings are delicious here. With variety of offerings of steamed momos, fried momos, and soups with Momos. They have other items too but momos is obviously the star of the show. My favorite by far is the Momos in the soup. It's a must try. The soup has tons of flavor with that tangy and spicy taste. Definitely eat it spicy if you love the kick. The momos go great with the soup as you bite in and redip. Momo Palace is a star of the market in my book. Cheers.

This was my first visit to Momo Palace but NOT my last! I tried the pork momos in chicken soup and it was a fantastic lunch on this beautiful fall day. I received 8 perfectly formed/cooked/seasoned pork momos in a delicious chicken soup, topped with fresh vegetables (cabbage, carrots, and cilantro, with a lime slice) and a medium spice drizzle. 10/10 - highly recommend! I cannot wait to go back!

I visited a friend out in Worcester and she brought me to Momo Palace. The location is in this open cafeteria style setting, similar to the Time Out Markets. There are several restaurants to pick from and a cute little shop in the back that sells products from local businesses. The pork dumplings were delicious! They were fresh and still hot when our number was called. One order has 8 dumplings which is a very generous amount. The tornado fries were also very good! I'm not a big fan of spicy flavors, but the spicy Mayo dip was perfect and not too spicy for me. I would come back again! The food was great and decently priced.

Super cute small place right by the Wooster polytechnic institute service was a little slow but overall the food was very good, fried minis were the cult classic favorite of the locals who brought us.

A little taste of Nepalese cuisine. I've never tried what the establishment refers to as a, "momos," but yummy indeed! This little shop is set up right at the public market. The dumplings can come fried or steamed and I've tried both and would give both a thumbs up. Good filling, flavorful, and new, to me. Now they don't have a huge menu, but I suggest you should try it regardless. Minimal seating near the establishment itself but plenty of others elsewhere. The wait time wasn't too bad and the workers were nice and answered questions. As far as parking goes, there are a lot of spots but then again there are those days where even then it's difficult grabbing a spot.

My first Nepalese experience. It was delicious. They were kind enough to prepare an assortment of momo and I had a noodle soup. Little too much heat for me otherwise it would've been 5/5.

Great spot inside the Worcester Public Market!! I got an order of the pork momos (half fried & half steamed) and a chili lemonade. The momos were flavorful and seasoned well, served with three dipping sauces. The chili lemonade had a kick but it was also sweet, and I appreciated that it was freshly squeezed. Everything was reasonably priced. I ended up getting two more orders of momos to go so I could share with friends. One of my new favorite spots for a quick bite. Highly recommend!

    Steamed and fried! Very good.

Delicious! Steed dumplings. Fried dumplings. Worth the price of admission folks. We fed three people on $53. And we are stuffed. Check out my photo and decide for yourself!

Great food, they have a good selections to choose from and it's come fresh within reasonable timing, I'm glad to see they expanded their spot.

First time trying this place and it was wonderful! The servers all wear masks and had gloves on as well as being very polite and patient while so decided what to order. Fried Pork Momo: The skin on this momo is slightly thicker than I expected which is great because I love a thicker skin! The skin was so crispy even after waiting over twenty minutes for a friends order and then driving home to eat the skin was STILL crisp! The inside was so juicy and very flavorful, I could definitely taste lots of seasonings in the filling! Steamed Pork Momo: The skin feels thinner than the fried momo but still somewhat thick, it doesn't feel like it will burst open accidentally while holding. The inside is also really juicy and flavorful and they really stuff the filling in! You get 8 per order so I think the price is pretty good. They come with a bunch of sauces (soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, vegetable savory sauce, spicy onion sauce) but I only used a tiny bit of soy because they were pretty good on their own. This place is a stand inside of Worcester Market so you can still eat inside when I am posting this... I personally don't think it's that safe to eat inside currently so I ate it as takeout but that is an option if you want to dine in. Keep in mind seating is somewhat limited so you may have to wait for an open seat!

Great customer service. Staff was very polite and they made our momos in different shapes to make it easier to distinguish which was veggie, pork, and chicken since we ordered one order but for separate people. They make it fresh and with quick service. Came with three different sauces. Highly recommend if you're looking for momos in Worcester. It's located within the food market. One of the shops you see when you enter the market. Masks required due to COVID.

We got there mid afternoon and the place was not busy. We greeted and seated almost immediately. It was a super pleasure to have Sandesh as a server and what a super nice and helpful man. Not only did he treat us well but also explained a lot about Nepali food and culture as we asked. He checked on us often as his way to make sure that everything was going well and if we had any questions. I learned that water buffalo(buff) is one of the favorite proteins in Nepal. We were informed that they get the meat from a farm in NY and that they like to keep to authentic flavors. For an appetizer we went for the buff pan fried momos. We had both spicy and non-spicy dipping sauces since I prefer non-spicy. I found the sauce delicious and the buff to be an interesting protein that I would try again. For my main course I went for the chicken thali after learning that it is one of their traditional meals. You get a little bit of everything including dessert - a delicious greek yogurt mixed with green cardamom and coconut. Our server mentioned that if we wanted anything extra (except for the protein) that they would be happy to bring it. We had tons of leftovers because we tried several dishes and asked if we could have more rice and they provided a complimentary container when our food was packed. Place is super clean and has beautiful Nepali decorations. Even your bill is brought in a wooden box with Nepali carvings. There was soft music playing in the background. We were curious about the hot pot tables but were informed that they were left by the previous restaurant but that they don't offer hot pot. The women's bathroom is cleverly decorated with Nepali scenes and has a beautiful authentic faucet. Our server informed us that on Wednesdays and Thursdays they offer what he described as Nepali street food. Selected dishes are $5 except for a a whole fried fish that is $10. We might have to check them out one of these days. An overall great and unique find!

We recently moved closer and I decided to try it for a work at home lunch day. I did no research before going. It turns out that Himalaya does not presently have a dine in option, which is fine because I live nearby. I walked in to look at the menu and order. I'm not sure if the person who helped me was having an off day, or maybe he's used to regular customers ordering ahead and didn't like having to change his routine, but he was not particularly welcoming. No smile or friendly greeting. I'm fairly sure that he rolled his eyes when I went to pay with cash. I don't know who this person was relative to the restaurant, but it didn't set a good tone. I ordered from the Lunch Specials. I ordered the Chicken Saag special which came with Basmati Rice and Naan. I don't remember the exact cost, but I remember being surprised at how inexpensive it was. Everything on the Lunch Special menu was inexpensive relative to places I frequent. I was told that it would be 10 minutes. I returned around 15 minutes later and my order was ready. All of the food was at least OK to pretty good, but didn't really pop for me. I'm much more familiar with Indian restaurants than I am with Nepalese and Himalayan restaurants, but some of the dishes share names. I'm not sure if there are seasoning and other variations in Indian versus Nepalese cuisine, or if any variations are more based upon the chefs cooking the meals. In any event, Himalaya's version of both the Saag and the chicken in the Saag were different than I'm used to. I prefer the way the Saag is seasoned in my favorite Indian places in CT. I feel like the chicken in most Indian restaurants is kebab style and is cooked in a tandoori oven. Himalaya's chicken had a rougher texture and seemed like it was perhaps roasted. It was pretty good, but probably my least favorite Saag dish I've had in a while. The Basmati rice was fine. The naan was OK. The texture and flavor didn't measure up to my favorite Indian restaurants. I have multiple nearby Indian restaurants that I prefer to Himalaya. In light of that and my less than positive service experience, I'm unlikely to return to Himalaya. However, given Himalaya's strong overall rating, it's clear that others have had good experiences and maybe you'll have better luck than I did. And as I said, the lunch specials are a good value. 3 Stars
