Friendly Staff. But gotten busy this early evening. Had to wait a bit to acquire more refills on our drinks. Otherwise, the flavors are out of this world. With the garlic explosions in the dishes, you will be safe from vampires after dining here. Very yummy for your tummy.

Pork momos, sesame chicken, and beef fried rice

Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, great service. The portions were perfect for splitting.

Went back after a while. Their hours have changed a bit since the pandemic but I think they're open on a more consistent basis now. We got food for takeout. They were packed on a Monday night. I got my favorite the beef shapta which is a sautéed beef dish that has onions and peppers in it. I got the Neumta Bale which is a fritter like bread that goes really well with the shapta. I'm sure you could also eat it with rice. My wife got her favorite the chicken Thukpa Nuema which is a noodle dish. The lady who has been there since the first time we went there was present. She's always so sweet. The prices have gone up but we love their food so we're cool with that.

Passing through Amherst on our way back to CT, my mom & I settled on trying something new, Tibetan food. We checked reviews and other than being short staffed, the reviews were great. Raves about the food flavor was our deciding factor. It'd been a rainy & chilly day watching my son's college football gane & we needed warmth, sustenance & time wasn't an issue; until it was. We arrived & were sitted at the exact same time as a couple who had the other of the two servers available. Somehow, under her care, they ordered, ate, paid & left before we received our appetizer, Dolma Mono, dumplings with Tibetan sweet root. Maybe the reviews gave us high expectations but the dumplings arrived room temperature, thick skinned & no sauce. The sweet root was interesting but not something I'd order again. I ordered Mothuk soup with chicken. The broth was tasty and gave me the warmth I was looking for. There wasn't much else to the soup; some baby spinach & chicken wrapped in the same thick skin as the dumplings. No pop of flavor for me but t my mom faired better. She ordered Shamday with chicken, served with greens & white rice. It truly was flavorful. Fried bread also hit the spot. Overall, the inconsistency bothered me. Table to table the service, timing & taste was all over the place. I'd try another place on the strip before going to Momo again.

We wanted to give a new cuisine a try. We started out trying out the veggie momos & they were delicious, we really enjoyed them. There were several dishes that we wanted to substitute the meat for tofu but they said it was possible so that was a bummer. We had the sesame tofu & orange tofu. Tofu was tasty and well done. Good service as well.

Really liked Momo Tibetan Restaurant in Amherst Center. We stopped in for dinner because we heard it was BYOB and we wanted to give a new cuisine a try. Everything came out hot and was packed with flavor. I especially loved the general Tso's tofu (the sauce was unreal). They were extremely short staffed when we went so we waited a long time for food, but everyone there was attentive and doing their best despite the setback. Would definitely return

Momo brings the heat. We started with sliced beef tongue. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was floored with how good this appetizer was. It tasted like schezuanese food, super savory with garlic, green onion, and both traditional and numbing spice. The momos themselves were great, especially the lamb momos which had just a little bit of broth in them, almost like xiao long bao. We also had the Momo family soup, which was a little bland, pretty much just an egg drop soup with some chicken and noodles. Come here, get the lamb momos, and DEFINITELY get the sliced beef tongue!

What a gem in the beautiful town of Amherst! A friend took us here for dinner. Warm ambience, culturally-rich decor, and beautiful carpeted seat near the window. The special drink, non-sweetened butter milk tea, was so cozy and delicious. The sweetened milk tea was also good. We were here for momos, but ended up trying a variety of special dishes. - Bhaley (puffy fried pastry, with vegetables filling): crispy, fresh out of the pan, careful with the steam! - Nyam Zumb Katsa (Momos with chili sauce): we got lamb momos (dumplings). Reminds me of Szechuan Chinese food. The homemade chili sauce was impressive. - Yertsa Lhosha (Pepper stir-fried lamb), Shasta (red sauce stir-fried beef) : these two dishes are quite alike. To be honest not too impressed. Comes with really delicious steamed bread and fried dough. Try one of them with a meat of your choice if you are a meat lover. Good for group. The service was fast and considerate. We had a great time and great food. If I come again, I'll order momos and vegetables. Everything is better when you share plates!!!!!

Excellent new food for us with high flavors. The only problem is the extras and the charges that do add up..

Himalaya, a Himalayan/Nepalese restaurant in Berlin, has been on my radar for a while because of…read moreits high overall Yelp rating. We recently moved closer and I decided to try it for a work at home lunch day. I did no research before going. It turns out that Himalaya does not presently have a dine in option, which is fine because I live nearby. I walked in to look at the menu and order. I'm not sure if the person who helped me was having an off day, or maybe he's used to regular customers ordering ahead and didn't like having to change his routine, but he was not particularly welcoming. No smile or friendly greeting. I'm fairly sure that he rolled his eyes when I went to pay with cash. I don't know who this person was relative to the restaurant, but it didn't set a good tone. I ordered from the Lunch Specials. I ordered the Chicken Saag special which came with Basmati Rice and Naan. I don't remember the exact cost, but I remember being surprised at how inexpensive it was. Everything on the Lunch Special menu was inexpensive relative to places I frequent. I was told that it would be 10 minutes. I returned around 15 minutes later and my order was ready. All of the food was at least OK to pretty good, but didn't really pop for me. I'm much more familiar with Indian restaurants than I am with Nepalese and Himalayan restaurants, but some of the dishes share names. I'm not sure if there are seasoning and other variations in Indian versus Nepalese cuisine, or if any variations are more based upon the chefs cooking the meals. In any event, Himalaya's version of both the Saag and the chicken in the Saag were different than I'm used to. I prefer the way the Saag is seasoned in my favorite Indian places in CT. I feel like the chicken in most Indian restaurants is kebab style and is cooked in a tandoori oven. Himalaya's chicken had a rougher texture and seemed like it was perhaps roasted. It was pretty good, but probably my least favorite Saag dish I've had in a while. The Basmati rice was fine. The naan was OK. The texture and flavor didn't measure up to my favorite Indian restaurants. I have multiple nearby Indian restaurants that I prefer to Himalaya. In light of that and my less than positive service experience, I'm unlikely to return to Himalaya. However, given Himalaya's strong overall rating, it's clear that others have had good experiences and maybe you'll have better luck than I did. And as I said, the lunch specials are a good value. 3 Stars

Another hidden gem located inside Bunny's Superette in the North End of Manchester!…read more Wow Momo and More operates a counter and kitchen inside Bunny's Superette, serving up Tibetan & Bhutanese cuisines and seafood. They offer a variety of momos, fried rice, chow mein noodles, shapta (Tibetan stir fry), stews, soups, seafood boils, fried seafood, fries, samosas, sandwiches, and mango lassis. The pricing seems pretty fair. They offer in-person ordering, online ordering through Square and DoorDash delivery (higher pricing). There are a few tables near the counter to eat your food. I've stopped by Wow Momo and More a few times already for takeout. I've enjoyed the Seafood Boil Combo ($14.99 plus tax) which had shrimp, mussels, sausage, potatoes, corn, boiled with spicy seasonings and garlic butter. One my last visit, they ran out of corn and gave me some extra mussels. My home smelled like seafood for a couple days. The handmade Steamed Chicken Momos ($9.99 plus tax) with dipping sauce was very good. The Fried Haddock (2 pc) with Fries ($11.99 plus tax) was a good portion that filled up the takeout box which had crispy haddock filets and crispy fries with tartar sauce and ketchup provided. The Chicken Fried Rice ($9.99 plus tax) was freshly prepared with a mix of stir fried rice, shredded veggies, scallions, egg, onions, garlic, and tender chicken pieces, hot sauce provided. The Fried Calamari & Shrimp Combo ($13.99 plus tax) had plenty of small breaded shrimp (cleaned) and breaded calamari (soft chewy rings & tentacles) with tartar sauce provided. Overall, Wow Momo and More offers solid good Tibetan food and seafood at fair prices and quick service if ordering ahead online.

Sorry, it just wasn't a good experience. Terrible service and mediocre food…read more Came for lunch with a party of three. It was not busy. Discovered it from a positive review on a msg board. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and naan to share, but we each had one item that we favored. I asked if everything can come at the same time. They said yes. Each dish came out one at a time, 15-20 minutes apart. After each dish, I asked if the rest was coming together. They kept saying yes. By the third time, I explained what we wanted again and they again said the rest was coming out together. Nope. I told the waitress that we were disappointed with what was happening and asked if she can bring the final dishes together. She said yes. Nope. My boyfriend got the meal he ordered last, approx. 1.5 hours after we got there. It was luke warm. The food was mediocre (at best). They hardly checked on us, we kept having to ask for drinks. We just wanted to leave and it took a long time to get the check. We were there almost 2 hours in total. The chicken chilli came with sesame seeds on it. I've never seen that before and it wasn't in the listed ingredients. I have an allergy to it, my bad for not declaring it but if they are going to list the ingredients, I wish they listed all of them. I've only tipped service less than 20% in my entire life, even for bad service, on principle. I tipped 15% here and as I walked out, I felt like that was too much. Some of the worst service I've had.
